So now everytime I plug my phone into my computer it shuts off. Earlier today I was putting music on but nothing else. I'm starting to think this thing is a buggy piece of crap...

I have in my car a hands-free kit for a Qtek 9100 which has work fine for years with the Qtek. I bought a mini to micro USB adapter so that I could use the kit with the new Desire HD, but when I plug the new phone to the micro USB adapter the Desire HD just shuts down and I have to remove and replace the battery to get it working again.

I couldnt get my device to show up so I used "deview" to remove the drivers so i could reinstall them. Now my computer tells me it is unable to locate them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an ATT SGS3 and today I flashed 4.2. Everything is cool, but due to multiple flashes over the past few days, I had several (0) folders on my SD card. I know this is due to 4.2 having the option to have multiple users. Since I had like 6 (0) folders, I moved my main folder back to the newest folder. The problem? While I can see the folder in Root Explorer and CWM, it does not show up when I plug it into the computer via USB. I only see one folder and nothing else.
How can I fix it so I can see this folder when plugged into the computer? The way it is now, my personal ringtones, music and everything else are not being found as they are not being seen.
How do I get my computer to recognize my sd card on my Eris when I plug it in? I want to put some music on my sd card. New to the phone & probably an easy step process.

What I use this for is I may be listening to a Netflix or HBO GO movie (yes I know, "listening") and I want the phone to shutoff after 30 minutes.
I was having a hard time finding any app that does this. Google searches just showed me results of shutdown problems, and the apps I came across were to reboot the phone.
I upgraded my Captivate to 2.2 two weeks ago and ever since the phone will shut itself off without making a sound (screen just goes black like the battery was pulled out) randomly. I do notice it never does it if the charger is plugged in.
I also am having a problem with txting. Sometimes when I am replying to a txt to one person, it will sent the message to a random person in my contacts instead of the person I intended to send the txt to.
Lastly, when I take a pic with the camera or download a pic from a txt, it takes awhile for it to show up in my gallery...
None of these things were happening when it was still running 2.1.
Everytime i reboot my phone, I get bunch of problems with my phone. when I try to open the phone dialer I get a force close on com.google.process.acore. Sometimes it completely prevents me from using the phone.
Then on occasion the phone freaks out and shuts the screen off, but leaves the navigation lights on the bottom of the phone. At that point the phone is completely unusable for about 1-2minutes. Sometimes when it comes back on, it starts rerunning the media scanner.
It seems the micro USB plug is on the top of the phone. Won't this cause things to get in the way? How will a dock work with the phone upside down? I think I would have to get a new car mount for this phone if I got it with the plug on top like that.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm using a UK O2 samsung galaxy and i'm trying to upgrade the firmware on it (hopefully to improve battery life).However when i plug the phone into my laptop the NPS software doesn't recognise that there is a phone attached and instead tells me i have 2 mass storage devices connected (an F and an E drive).Does anyone know why this might be? and more importantly how to fix it so i can do the upgrade?

Once a call is placed the phone will go black and I am unable to access the onscreen functions (Speaker, Dialpad, etc). I've tried tapping the screen, hitting the back button and hitting the menu button, but the screen remains black. At some point it MAY come on or just briefly flash on. This has been very annoying - especially with calls that require multiple prompts.

I was trying to root my samsng behold 2 earlier today using the command codes on theunlockr.com. I thought everything was going well as I went all the way to the last step where it rebooted my behold 2. Problem is, the phone kinda just turned off after doing the reboot command and didn't turn back on by itself (I gave it like 10 minutes). I eventually then just turned on the phone manually and noticed that everything was super laggy. Even when I used taskkiller to kill every task minus GDE, it said I only had 38MB ram available. I rebooted my phone a few times and it was laggy everytime so I decided to do a hard reset. The problem is that when I attempted the hard-reset, it will now get stuck on the samsung screen when trying to load up (stayed there for over 30 minutes). I can still enter the phone if I just start it up regularly without trying to hard-reset, but it will continue to be VERY laggy.
Is there anything I can do to restore this phone back to its original state? I was reading about using ODIN to flash it or something, but for some reason my computer doesn't detect my phone when I go into Download mode on startup (it does however detect the usb drivers on my phone once the phone officially startsup into its homepage).

View 13 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted a 2.2 stock phone, using the XDA method (clockwork). Everything seems to work fine, except for two things: BIG THING: Whenever I try to use the GPS function on my phone the phone just shuts off and restarts. (this is when I use the GPS satellites function. NOT when I use the "use wireless networks" setting under the Location sub-section of settings) When I turn on GPS and try to get "my location" in google maps. It restarts. When I use Yelp it turns off.
SMALL thing: The wifi tether is decent but it often stops working (I used the google one). I.e. The computer that's connected to the wireless network either gets disconnected, or it thinks it's disconnected but the internet just doesn't work. At this point, I just simply shut the tether on and off. But it's slightly inconvenient. Is this an issue other people are having?
Encountered a wierd issue with my Samsung Moment this weekend. I would click on my browser icon (Google is bookmarked as my home page) the google page would load, start "acquiring my location" and then automatically shut down my browser. So I went through the Sprint help desk for several hours with no answer and no fix. I changed my home page to something other than Google and now my browser seems to work just fine. But everytime I go to the google webpage, like I'm doing a google search it shuts down the browser. Flipping weird! Another heads up. if I use my Google searchwidget, it seems to work just fine.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:

How do I get the pictures taken with my phone on my computer? I need to back them up before I root my phone and I can only save the ones on my sd card but cant seem to find the ones taken with my phone. I am guessing they got saved to the phones memory.
