Samsung Behold 2 :: Cannot Load Any Apps Onto Phone / Not Enough Memory
Jun 26, 2010
Recently talked Tmobile into sending me a Slide, and letting me keep the BHII. Used one of BH Man's roms to take the BHII back to stock to get it ready for resale. Now, i cannot load any apps onto the phone because it says "not enough memory". Checking the memory settings shows 0 Maximum, 0 available. I've done a factory reset, i've reflashed the rom twice, still no memory.
I just installed a new ROM, and now my phone is saying there is no available phone memory and no max memory. I think I have seen something about this on the forums before, but I can't find it now. I am using the latest 1.6 ROM. Can anyone help?
Sso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as I didn't know which one I wanted and was rearranging icons. Now I cant use either. I was checking for a schedule online.
I download a video off of Myxer. It didn't have any sound so I want to delete it. I can't find it ANYWHERE in the files folder of the memory card. And I don't know how to switch it over so I can look in the phone's memory. So my question is where are things I downloaded stored on the phone or memory card? I looked everywhere and can't find it!
is there any way to get this to work on our Behold 2's? i seen it on the xda site and he says the way to load it is to place the zip file in the root of your SD card go into recovery and flash it. our recovery isnt working where we can flash zip files so I was wondering if there was a way to adb push it?
This is really pissing me off. I turned my phone off and now when I turned it back on it stays in the bootload android screen. If I press the cube button it goes to cube and then I'm able to navigate around to internet and other media features but it refuses to load up the home screen. Is there anything I can do without having to do a hard reset. I don't want to reload all my apps over again.
I encountered "zero memory" issue if I flash custom ROM over another with "onepackage" and factory reset doesn't help. Now I found a fix of this issue, and this should be done if you want to flash custom ROM over another.
Download and flash BH-MAN Warheads ROM http://www.4shared.com/file/nFe93F45/BH_MAN_WarHeads.html Make sure you put in the components correctly. After md5 check has completed, you can flash and take a little break. Once you're in the standby screen on the phone, you can turn it off and reset the Odin and select the ROM and .ops file along with the ROM.
Low on space icon is up top the phone but I have a 16gb sd and says 15,268mb available but phone memory only 12mb available. Why isn't phone using the SD or do I have to enable something to make it use the card.
I just ran the persistent root and it worked great. I'm trying to copy Arabic fonts from the memory card into the phone but am running into a problem after running adb shell. The device is recognized by the pc and lists it as "sgh-t939". But the second command I think it wants to remount the memory card [ remount rw ] and I'm encountering a problem -- displays "remount: not found" I am simply following directions for adding the same fonts from a rooted galaxy. I have highlited where I'm stuck in red.
I downloaded some ringtones from myxer.com and there on the phone. I can go to settings and set them as a ringtone however when i go to them in file manager or astro the file manager that i use from the market place they are no where to be found on my memory card. Does anyone know where they might be stored on the phone.
Newb here joining the forum. I have a couple of questions about my stock B2. First, what steps can i take to optimize for speed, internal memory and battery life? i am getting about 8-10 battery life hours. Is this normal? And, are there any lets say core apps to recommend?
What are some of your best or most used apps or games (paid or free) with the behold 2. since coming from the g1 I was able to eliminate a few. APP Klaxon alarm- Paid (as Night clock wont work with the phone) (got rid of this as it wouldn't stay on all night) Flashlight- free (use every day) Games Robo defense- Paid (awesome, free or paid version) abduction- Free
I'm running warheads from bh_man first off. I just got apps2sd working tonight, but shortly afterward every app I tried to install would fail install with "installation unsuccessful". After an hour of searching, I decided to clear out the dalvik-cache. Well, I did this and I was able to install apps again. I installed two apps, and I kept getting a force-close on Titanium Backup -root version. I rebooted the phone (Behold 2), and now all of my apps are gone. I've got a bunch of default android boxes, and no working apps. I checked my sd card, and all of the .apk's are still there, but they aren't in the dalvik-cache folder anymore. What's strange is that some of the apps are there, like gstrings and quick system info, but the vast majority aren't, like handcent and beautiful widgets. I don't know what I did, but I'd really like to know how to get them all back. I tried installing handcent from the market, and it says that it can't install it on my phone, so I really need to get this fixed because I really don't want to start all over again.
I have installed several apps that us gps, fandango and weather bug elite to name a few but when it tries to us teh gps to find where i am and set my location it can never find me any ideas why that is?
Ok, I'm surprised I am having to post this. Mainly due to I am not computer illiterate. However, I'm having difficulty transferring pics from my pc to my Droid X. It either will not show up on the phone when I copy them onto the phone or it crashes my pc. How do you get pics onto the droid? Any good apps for assisting with this? As well as any good apps for viewing and managing pics and albums on the phone?
Not a major issue here, just sometimes when I reboot, when my phone starts back up again my Facebook app is gone and I have to reinstall it. Anyone know what's causing this? I'm using WarHeads but this also has happened on BH_MAN's other ROMs.
When I go to the default contacts from the home screen I can see all of my contacts, including a lot of duplicate entries where one person will have 2 contact cards, 1 with a plain phone number, and 1 with their number labeled "mobile" (... through research found that the plain-numbered versions are probably simcard saved contacts, which can only contain 1 number per contact)all the apps that use the contacts (ie. hancent) refuse to recognize contacts saved in the sim format, so when i get a text from these people it just comes up with their number. All my contacts look fine in Gmail on the web and I even did a "merge contacts" command on duplicates to try and solve the issue. Looks fine on the web but my phone still has all these dupes, any ideas?
I'm using Bearsfan85's custom ROM, but have lost the voice dialer app that was in the Samsung's touch wiz ROM. As this is helpful to avoid car accidents while on the road, I was hoping to get it back. I have the .apk file but ASTRO file manager won't let me install it. I've tried to adb push it but I get a "read-only file error". For whatever reason, the commands "adb remount" or "adb shell sysrw" aren't being recognized, which I think is what I need to do to adb push the voice dialer back onto my phone.Unless of course, the Samsung apps just aren't compatible anymore.
Is there a way to delete unwanted apps on a stock phone? I got an update last week and it came with some stupid trial games that I don't want. When I go into app management to remove it, there is no unistall option. I hate how we are forced to keep some apps.
I am getting this phone soon via winning it from the samsung giveaway.....anyway, the only thing i really want to know is, can we install apps onto a sd card? i really like downloading a lot of apps and wanted to know this
Download and use a program called Android Central Sideload Wonder Machine. It's a one click solution, works amazingly on the Captivate and requires no hassle. The program claims to work on un-rooted phones (though mine is rooted). My girlfriend's Captivate is not rooted though so I will test this out on her phone as well to confirm it. Check it out though. I've already gone to town with this and it works great.
Does anyone know some places that have some good books or video tutorials or just generally good knowledge of creating android apps? If someone can hook me up with some info on at least what I need to know to create android apps that would be very appreciated.
i just bought this phone last week and so far the receptions have been pretty bad compare to my old phone (LG chocolate) are there any apps out there that can increase the ability for the BH2 to get better receptions? or is this t-mobile's problem.
