Nexus :: Suddenly Stopped Receiving Email Notifications?
Is it just me, or has anyone else out there suddenly stopped receiving email notification? I don't think I have changed anything, and I've not added a task killer. I have always received email notification before. I have notification allowed in gmail, email, and k9, and still no notification: I have to go into the application and do a manual refresh. I use a "@googlemail.com ". account on orange UK.

Motorola Droid X :: Sound Notifications For Text And Email Stopped
I've had this happen to me twice now over the past week. It seems that periodically my notification sounds will stop. I will see that I have new emails but never heard the sound. I will then go send myself a test text message and it will vibrate but make no sound. I've made sure all my volumes are up, and even went in to pick a notification sound and it will work fine in the sound chooser when I pick it. I also noticed both times that it did this if I go in to Spare Parts or Battery History and look my phone is staying awake and Android Usage is the one with the partial wake lock. Generally I don't have any sleep issues, it only happens when my notification sounds have also quit working. The only way to fix it is power off and back on and then all is good again.

HTC Hero :: Headphones Suddenly Stopped Working
Anyone else having this problem? afer a factory reset to try and fix my sms problem my headphones no longer work, ive tried known working headphones and they dont either, the headphones work on other devices. the 3.5mm jack seems to no longer work on my hero gutted.. i use this alot, well, used it alot. anyone else have this problem?

Android :: Settings - Facebook Update - Suddenly Stopped Working
Am just wondering if anyone is having any issues with Facebook updating at the moment? I'm on vodafone and when i try to refresh the news feed, i keep getting a "an error had occurred while fetching data (null)" message appearing. It's the original Facebook app on the phone, and i've never had any problems with it before, so am a little confused why it has suddenly stopped working. I haven't changed any settings or anything.

Nexus :: Audible Selection - Sound Suddenly Very Quiet
It's that little "tick" sound you hear when you press an icon on the home page, or hit something on a menu, or click a link, etc. Mine is suddenly about 1/3 the volume it used to be. I checked the settings and I can turn it off in Sounds & Display...Audible Selection but I don't see any adjustment for the volume of it. The only thing new in the past few days is that I got both the desk dock and car dock (the "quiet tick" problem is when it's not docked though). Rebooted with no luck.

Samsung Captivate :: Phone Stopped Receiving Text Messages
I used chompSMS, and after updating to their 4.6 version, I was no longer able to receive text messages. I tried everything and finally resorted to doing a factory reset, now everything is working, and I am receiving all the messages I was supposed to get during the period it wasn't working. Now that I am getting all the messages, I realize that I wasn't getting them from before the update as well. I guess chomp is not to blame.

Android :: Not Receiving Notifications
I've noticed that I'm not receiving notifications that apps I've downloaded from the Android Market have available updates. The user manual shows a little icon of an Android shopping bag in the 'Status Bar - Notification Icons' section (page 7), so I think something's wrong.For example, just today I went into the Android Market to download a new app and upon checking 'My Downloads', I noticed seven apps that had updates available. At least four of these apps had been opened and used within the last hour, and still nothing was mentioned about the update. Is anyone else noticing the same?

Sprint HTC Hero :: Stopped Receiving Text Messages And Calls - Doesnt Ring At All
So just yesterday 12-1-09 my phone stopped receiving text messages and phone calls. People try to call me and get 4 rings then voicemail. My phone doesnt ring at all. I can place calls and browse the internet, run sprint navigation and all my apps just fine. It has been a perfect phone ever since I bought it. (11-01-09). I did a factory Hard Reset and still my phone didnt receive calls. Called Sprint and they had me turn off my phone and refreshed some info. Had to change the MSID # when i turned my phone back on but still nothing. Has anyone else had this happen to them. The only way I can receive my text messages is if I place a call then they seem to come through.

HTC EVO 4G :: No Longer Receiving E-mail Notifications
I am running on the HTC EVO and as soon as I got my phone I set up my Gmail account through the automatic setup process. I used android market to get the Gmail widget (the one where the icon has the message coming out of the envelope and it looks like a red 'M'). That was working fine and I was getting my e-mails without any problems.The other day, I was tinkering with settings and I set up the HTC Mail widget, which I (stupidly) linked to the same Gmail account. I started to receive double notifications for my e-mails. I quickly realized I preferred the Gmail widget I was using previously, so I removed my account from the HTC Mail widget.So, my problem is that I no longer receive any notifications from the original Gmail widget when I get new e-mails. In fact, I no longer receive any notifications when I get e-mails. I have gone through all the settings I could find and all notifications are set to update automatically and alert me. The only thing I have not yet done is the account reset because this says I will have to reset my phone to factory settings and I don't want to lose everything I have on it at this point.

Android :: Receiving Two Notifications For Each Incoming SMS
I am an end android user. I have Samsung Galaxy GT-I7500. A few days back I downloaded the Handcent SMS app. I am happy with the app. But I was receiving notifications both from my native app and Handcent SMS. In order to stop the notification I used Advanced Task Manager to remove the native SMS app in the name of 'SMS' instead of the disabling the notification. Instead of removing the messaging service my data usage notification SMS from my service provider has stopped. I am receiving other messages and able to send messages. I have flashed my ROM but the 'SMS' app is still not installed.

HTC Incredible :: Multiple Notifications When Receiving Text
I have uninstalled all my sms messaging apps except for the default HTC messaging app. Every time I receive a text message, I get 2 audio notifications, and there are two icons on the notification bar. When I pull it down, one of the notifications sends me directly to the message, and extinguishes one of the icons. The other icon simply says "you have an unread message", and when I click on it nothing happens, and the icon never goes away (unless you hit clear) on the notification pull down menu.It seems to me like I have two messaging programs installed, but I have gone over the list of apps for an hour and can't seem to find it.If it helps, the icon looks like a postcard, with a vertical line down the middle., black and white.

Android :: Receiving Notifications When There Is An Internet Connection / 3G Or WiFi
I'm developing a C++ application for the android that needs to talk with a server whenever there is an internet connection available. If the internet connection is cut-off the application needs to "sleep" in order to reduce the battery consumption. If the internet connection is back the application should "awake". I'm searching for any kind of event notification available for C++. I don't want to use pooling. I know that in java we receive these notifications from the connectivity service.Can we trap them natively?

Sprint HTC Hero :: Not Receiving Gmail Notifications During Night
HTC Hero by Sprint, running 2.1.6...I notice that I get my gmail updates almost instantaniously during the day, but at night I will get one and if I don't touch the phone, I won't get another until I start using the phone again.Is this some sort of "sleep" feature where you will not recieve gmail notifications while you are not using the phone (over night), or is it just my imagination?? I have noticed this numerous times over the past couple months, although I have not really been putting this theory to a controled test.

Motorola Droid :: Stopped Getting Notifications From Gmail
I have been using my droid with gmail for 3 weeks now no problems. All the sudden I stopped getting notifcations from gmail. I did not make any changes to the settings and checked them to make sure everything was normal. If I go into gmail and click refresh I get a notification with all the new emails. It used to be instant, as soon as a new email came I would get a notifcation. Now they dont come at all... anyone know whats going on?

HTC Droid Eris :: Notifications Stopped Sounding / Fix It
I've Had my Eris for about 3 weeks now and I absolutely love it but, my notifications just stopped sounding. I've seen this brought up in different forums but I have yet to see any answers. I'm wondering If anyone is currently or has recently had this same problem if so how did you fix it? Or is it still going on. Also I've made sure that I do have notifications set to sound, they just don't, it just vibrates. I've even thought that I wasn't giving the phone enough time to sound but after seeing the trackball light up i let it sit to see if it will eventually sound and it never does.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Way To Stop Receiving Multiple Sms / Notifications?
I've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?

I am getting no ringer notifications when new emails come in. The new emails are not showing up in the top bar either, nor is the pulse notification light coming on or is the phone vibrating . And yes, all these utilities are turned on and have been triple checked.

I just pulled the battery to do a reset last night after a lockup and today I'm getting notifications everytime I get a new email. it never used to do this and i figured it was just cause I didn't use the gmail. now I'm thinking that it just might be one of the background tasks that I was always killing. I recently switched to home++ and I didn't use the built in task killer all day. so I guess my question is, does anyone know which background task would control this so I don't kill it? also, is there a place to go in the settings to change the led color for email alerts?

Nexus :: Phone Randomly Stopped Syncing Emails
My phone just quit receiving Gmail yesterday. I just thought it was a little quiet, but when I went to my inbox and did a manual refresh, I had 16 messages. I had been in and out of 3G coverage all day and on Wi-Fi networks 5 times... I unchecked the "sync" icon on the settings widget, and it seems to be working OK now, but this hasn't ever happened on any of my other Android devices.

HTC Desire :: Gmail App Not Receiving Email / Way To Set?
I'm having some trouble with my gmail app. Sometimes it just does not receive email. I tell it to manually refresh but still non of my new emails appear. When this problem occurs however, the app does still display the number of new emails in brackets at the top next to 'inbox'. Strange. Even stranger is the fact that sometimes this app works fine. I have done all the obvious things (restart, task killers, wi-fi check) but I am yet to find a solution. I know I could just use the HTC mail app, but I don't like it as much.
