Did a search for this and didn't find one. On my personal not business roadrunner account...is there a way to set Droid to open/send links and attachments in my roadrunner email? Can I view my contacts and work different mailboxes incoming, sent, etc?

I got my Droid X today and for the heck of it, I tried to get my roadrunner email to work. Within 30 seconds, it worked perfect - sending and receiving. I had spent many hours trying to get it to work with my original droid to no avail. Not sure if it is the new phone or something that was fixed in a update.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my google mail working and my Exchange account for my email.When I first looked at my exchange account I was happy to see that I could open a PPT document. I thought great news! However last night ( 3 days later) I could not open a document for the life of me, it keeps stating "fetching from server". My email stays on the server so its not like that original email was deleted. My gmail account opens up the attachment just fine (did a test) so does anyone know why I cannot open an attachment in my Exchange email (corporate app)?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have my yahoo account setup in the android email app. Thanks to a previous post got it working beautifully.. when i click an email that has an image attachement and chose the Save function, its then shows the crash/error messege "The application Email (process com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."Ive tried numerous emails in my yahoo account with pics and it crashes it every time. No idea why. When i open an image in my gmail account using the gmail app its saves fine.

I have my Yahoo and Optonline (Cablevision ISP, pop/smtp server) email accounts linked up with DX. Whenever I get something into Yahoo account over 5MB it just gives me a link to download the attachment rather than displaying in inbox. I can live with that. But my Optonline email account just gives me a message "attachment exceeds the limit" and nothing I can do about it. Its very consistent with anything over 5MB. I'm wondering if there is a setting somewhere to increase the allowable incoming attachment size? Any idea?

Hope noone flames me (and I apologize if this truly does not belong here--mods please delete if you need to!) I currently have a Roadrunner account for email. On my last phone (the Lotus Elite) it had a button specifically for email and I tried to put my RR email account there but it would never let me. I also tried typing the email IP address in the browser but it always said I couldnt access the site on my phone. Is this going to be an issue with the EVO too? I think its a RR issue, not a specific phone issue right? If there is no way around it, is there a way to automatically forward all my RR mail into a different free email account that I can set up somewhere else?

I was receiving RR emails thru GMail on my Droid but now they are not coming thru...I do not have Weatherbug loaded..just got phone 2 days ago so only have Pandora and SportsTap loaded. Here is what I have done so far. I set up my GMail to use my RR email as well. I went to GMail Settings. I added RR as my POP3 email account..."POP Server" set to pop.roadrunner.com and Port set to 110. In the "Accounts and Imports"..."Send mail as" the RR is set to Default. Do I need to change any of the settings in the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" section of GMail Settings?

However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?

What i am thinking of is similar to how the gmail application can detect a web address or phone number and make it a link. Is something like this possible?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI returned my Droid some time ago because I could not forward customer blueprints and inquiries on ot my plants. The files were imp. tif. jpg. excel and word. I was told by Verizon that the phone might do it after some further updates. What is the real deal here. Will 2.1 fix this? I went back to my 2 year blackberry becaue the email was far more reliable and I could forward whatever came in with the emails I got. Is Android not ready for the business market yet, or have things changed since the Droid intro.

I can see that an email has an attachment, but when i click to download, the process begins then always ends with the message 'Not implemented". This happens will all file types.
