Anyone think they can fill me in on exactly how to install a theme using metamorph I can't seem to figure it out.... tried my best but nothing seems to work right when I go into the app and choose theme... it doesn't find anything in the Androidthemes folder..
I was trying to install a modified theme musicgoogle.apk. The stock musicgoogle.apk is now gone from my phone. I backed up the stock apk first of course, but I cannot install it, or the modified theme apk.
I currently have FlyX installed with a theme on it. Can I just put the new theme.zip on my sd card and apply in the recovery like the last one or do I have to remove the current theme and then install it?
I know this may have been asked plenty of times but i just rooted my X running tranquility im tired and just figured i would let this thread cook overnight. So guys how do i install a theme i want to install the vanilly froyo that was in the sticky.
Just a quick question, is there a way, with out installing a theme or Home replacement, to remove the text under the icons, so its just an icon only? also, is there a way to hide the notification area? I thought it would be cool to tap the screen once, and have the batter/time/date/notification area drop down from the top like how it is right now with the stock version, then tap the screen again and it hides the notification area. Wouldn't that be cool? Any way to do this or does something do this already?
I just got a replacement DX due to random reboots.I read around on the forums that a factory reset would remove any custom themes as well as remove any signs of root.I was unable to achieve either with a factory reset and had to manually install the stock theme files, unroot, and then factory reset. Is this normal? Or was my factory reset not working properly? Is there a way to get back to "out of the box" without having to manually reinstall a stock theme and unroot?
I have read and searched everywhere on how to install custom kernels.I follow each step: download the file, change the name of the file to update.zip, copy file onto root of SD card, boot into recovery, go to install, select "Allow update.zip Installation", install. When it starts to install it pops up "no such file or directory" installation aborted.
Im trying to install BB V1.0 and I keep getting E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory) Installation aborted. I have no idea where I went wrong. I renamed the file to update.zip also tried update.zip. The file name was right in Astro. So I have no clue whats wrong with it or what to do?
Just like the title says, I'm at the laundrymat on my phone so I didn't have the option to search the forums. I wiped the data, and did a back up. But I would like to use chevys kernel vs a p3, just my preference.
I finally got 2.01 back onto my phone. It took a new version of RSD lite running as an admin to get it to work.. Now, I want to root this bad boy and install bugbless beast, where can I read up on how to install custom roms?
I was thinking of changing my eris around a little bit as far as the look. I don't want to root my phone though (not yet anyway). Is there an app or a way that I can install a theme set for my icons or at least change them all myself without having to root my phone? I'm also wondering what the best app is for a new lockscreen.
I'm trying custom the theme of Media Volume Controller (I don't know what it's called, just try to name it). It's something like a Toast with "Media Volume" title which appears when we press volume buttons (+ and -) in games. But I don't know which View it's, or it's a Toast, a Dialog. So far as I try, I could not find anything which refers it. Only Activity.setVolumeControlStream(AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC) to enable it in your Activity, and nothing more >_< If someone know how to custom it, or just it's name.
Could anyone post or point me to an example of using custom items in a theme? I've created a theme that uses custom attributes as item names, and I want to refer to those items in the code. I can see the theme is working because it also sets the android:windowBackground color. As a concrete example, I want an inactiveColor item in my Theme.GreenWithYellow to use in onDraw methods in my Views. I think this would be the right mechanism to use to have multiple color schemes for application specific purposes, but I would be happy to entertain other approaches, too.
can anyone point me in the right direction for creating a custom scene for use with the incredible? Not sure if there are applications I would need and also i need to know how to build the files into an apk file.
I'm using the latest version of GO Launcher Theme Factory, and I've made a theme with around 30 icons, but I can't seem to add custom icons for other apps that aren't in GO's list. For example, I want to add a Nexflix icon for my theme, but I can't because when I double click on the add custom icon button, GO wants me to open an .apk file, not an image file. How to add a new icon to the list where it's actually an image file, or .apk file that I could download to my comp that has a bunch of custom icons listed (I'll make my own actual icons).
Adding custom icon applications to GO Dev's online based Theme creator, i use on the fly to make a backup copy of app apk's in which to upload to their website, this should allow me to then change the icon for that app but every time i try to upload any apk file i get an error when actualizing the file!
I like to make for my phone a custom rom but i want to know how to add powered menu and also add to the rom a custom theme...... The only way I know to do this kind of things its via recovery menu but I want to be all in one .... When I flash my rom all the things be able to use them without second flashing...
Just a real general ? for eveyone. Just wanna know what everyone is using for a rom and them. I am running Nextheme r2. but missing a couple of things that I like. So if I can a rough idea of the winner I might try that one. I am waiting and hoping for sense ui as long it does not slow down droid.
I'm currently running bugless beast V.04 on froyo. Thanks to this great forum i've learned to root. But some of this stuff is hard to understand if you dont know the lingo. I'm trying to find out how to theme this ROM, or any ROM, or if i even can. I just need someone to give me some easy broken down instructions if they would.
