Motorola Droid X :: Themers - Hide Status Bar Clock?
Oct 25, 2010
For the sake of keeping this from going the way every other thread I've seen on the subject always goes: Yes, I am fully aware that adw launcher and launcher pro give you the option of hiding your whole statusbar. No, that is not what I am after, nor is that what this post is about. This is a question for theme developers... Is there anyone out there that knows how to hide the statusbar clock in FroYo? I've been poking around for the past two days trying to figure this one out on my own, but it's not going as smoothly as I would like it to be.
Most of what I've been reading points to the Services.jar file. (Specifically comandroidserverstatusStatusBarIcon.smali)... but any of the threads I've found mention changing the border. I can't find anything in the StatusBarIcon.smali file that indicates border spacing at all. Am I even on the right track here, or am I looking in completely the wrong place?
I finally uninstalled Home ++, as bad as it killed me to do it, I couldn't tolerate the force closes and bog down any longer. My Droid is screaming fast now, but I plan on reinstalling Home++ when the issues get worked out. One of the things I liked was the way it hid the status bar. Is there any other app or option out there to hide the status on the stock home?
I came across a droid1 theme called Luna Theme. The website from the creator is here: The LUNA THEME for Android - Anthem Of The Sun. I contacted them and basically was told that he doesn't have a droid x to test the theme on and doesn't know the differences between the droid1 and the droid x. If someone who is good at porting themes over to the DX could/wants to port it they can contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org. I personally would donate to see this come to fruition.
Just wondering if there is a way to modify the main status bar at the top of the screen. I don't see the point of having a widget clock and a status bar clock, personally I don't want the one on the status bar. Any help is much appreciated. Any modifications are welcome in this thread.
I apologize if this has been asked before or if this is in the wrong section. I have been searching the forum and the Internet for the answer on how to display the time on the status bar of the Droid. I think I remember seeing it before but now its gone and I've looked through the settings looking for an option to turn it on with no success. Let me know if this is possible.
Please give me solution to hide the status bar of translucant screen, i have tries by setting Theme.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen but it works for normal activity, but its not working for the screen witch is translucant. Please give me the hint to solve the problem.
I am creating a WebView which is being launched from an activity named StartUpActivity.java. My intention is to hide the status bar at the top when the WebView comes to the front, so that the WebView remains full screen (no status bar). I can hide the status bar when I launch an activity using this code : getWindow().setFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN,WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN ); Is there any way to hide the status bar when using WebView?
I want to get ride of android status bar.Using Htc desire c, custom ROM 4.1.2 Simplicity. Already ask on HTC d C forum about that, the developer too. This thing is called : google search bar,i removed google search but the white template ,not.
I've been using various ROMs (including various Xposed modules) in the past and most of them allow me to auto-hide the status bar.But whenever I swipe down from the top and the statusbar is displayed, it resizes the entire content on my phone.
What I was looking for is a statusbar that will show up above the content, like the immersive mode in KitKat but for JB so it doesn't resize my content but overlap it.
I know there are some apps that give you this kind of auto-hide status bar but it will only work in fullscreen apps, so I tried to make everything on my phone full screen (using expanded desktop) but it doesn't seem to work...
I'm pretty sure the answer is "no" but, is there any way to hide the clock in the notification bar? If I'm using a clock widget like Beautiful Widgets I don't want to see another clock in the notification area. I like home++ but I don't want to hide the whole notification bar, just the clock.
I used the following theme to set fullscreen mode in Android 1.1, but the same code doesn't hide the Status Bar in 1.5. The Activity goes fullscreen, but the Status Bar always stays on top of it. The theme used:
Even tried setting the flags for the window using the following, but nothing worked.
Is there an app, or a zip file to flash, to where i can choose to hide certain icons from the status bar? i like to just turn my screen on to see if i have any notifications, but i hate it how i get the "more" icon, where you have to drag the status bar down, only to find out it was just an update notification.
I've looked all over the forum, but don't see any recent posts for my question. So I'm hoping someone can help... I would like to hide or remove unwanted icons from the left side of the notification/status bar. I realize most programs give you this option, but some don't (such as the latest version of Norton security program). It just sits up there and hogs up real estate. Ideally, it would also be nice to be able to rearrange the icons, or make them larger if desired..
im running fabs latest rom and on the phone i have both clock and alarm clock the old app and i think there conflicting cause i have my alarms set in clock but no alarm clock displayed near the time or in the lock screen like it should
Anyway to remove it without getting rid of the notification bar entirely? When I started to type this thread a "Here are similar thread we found:" deal came up. (I think that is amazing btw) Only thing is all of those thread were regarding phones that aren't a Samsung Captivate. Also I am running Cognition 2.2 beta 2 if that makes a difference.
I don't mean 12/24 hr format. I mean HH:mm:ss format. I want my status bar clock to display something like 23:59:59, I want the "seconds counter" included. How do I do this? Are there any app that can do this or I need to modify some system files (SystemUI.apk perhaps)? My phone is xperia mini pro (rooted).
With my G1 it was possible to hide apps from the drawer, but I can't remember if that was something somone enable via a ROM or a separate app. Anyone with a Droid able to leave an app installed and fully functional, but hide it so it doesn't show up in the app drawer?
