View 5 RepliesEver since updating to Froyo, my DX won't play any Youtube videos, it just says "Sorry this video cannot be played" and below that, "There was an error trying to play video". Is anyone else having this issue, or does anyone know how to fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've used Handbrake as recommended in this helpful thread (Put Videos on Droid) to convert .avi files to .mp4. I got a "Sorry, this video cannot be played" when I try to play it on my Droid.I also tried downloading an .mp4 file from a YouTube video (as converted by file2hd.com). But I still get that error message.I know this topic has come up before and it usually seems to be the way that the file was converted rather than some kind of setting on the Droid. What else should I try?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone get the videos on NFL.com to play on their Droid X?I follow the NFL on Twitter, and when they post a link to a vid on NFL it doesn't play. It acts like it is loading, but then it says the video isn't available. I know the video is available because they JUST posted it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was trying to find a video on YouTube on my Droid that I could easily find on my computer, but I could not get the video to come up in the YouTube search using my Droid. I tried this in the YouTube app and the browser, but I got the same results. For this particular search, my Droid came up with 4 results, and my computer 20 results. I've also done google searches for particular videos, only to get a "video not compatible with YouTube mobile" (or something like that). Are these 2 issues related? Is my search on my Droid only finding mobile-compatible videos?

View 17 Replies View RelatedI have had the droid x for a little over a week, my last phone was the eris. I have yet to be able to play any youtube videos on my phone, whether it be from the youtube widget, a browser window, or a facebook link. It just goes to loading video, and it never loads. Has anyone else had this problem?? I have tried it both with and without using wifi.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone figured out what the magical combination is to make videos actually play on the phone from a DLNA server? I have tried Tversity and a few others changing all the settings around to find a combination that would work. Most of the settings I tried should have worked based on the formats supported on the X matching the transcode settings I had on Tversity but no luck.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi notice when i try to use my phone's "flash player capabilities" that it works like chit. for instance, it won't play videos streamed on justin.tv. and today i tried to go to kings of leon's website so i could listen to their new album from my phone (Kings of Leon | Come Around Sundown) but it failed to work again. i can see all the songs, click on the buttons, even track forward in the songs, but NO SOUND and the songs remain on pause and won't play. is there an update or some kind of APP i can install to where i can actually get some benefit from the flash player.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI figure maybe it's a Flash problem, but I can't seem to play ANY YouTube videos on my Eris. The error I always get is something about the video not being found. This is a new Eris, got it about 2 weeks ago so I am assuming it's got the most current ROM. Does anyone know how I can get YouTube to work while on the cellular network and not WiFi?
View 13 Replies View RelatedIt is absolutely ridiculous that the eris can't play 95% of the online videos I want to watch.
Is youtube seriously it? WTF!? No fox.com, NBC, adult swim, comedy central?
I had a Motorola flip phone that could play almost any video, including from the above sites. I thought I was upgrading when I bought the eris. Am I missing something?
For instance: when I click on a video on cnn.com, the phone goes through the motions of downloading it and then I get a message: This content cannot play on this device.
When I go to the YouTube app and click on any video displayed, the message is Cannot play video. Sorry, this video cannot be played. The videos that I took with my phone and are stored on my SD are playing OK.
When I get an MMS video I am unable to view/play the video. I had no issues on phones I have had in the past. I am stumped.

View 8 Replies View RelatedEver since my update I get a message that I the phone cannot play the video. Some play in low quality but when you try high quality it says it can't play it. I just go to the music category and most of the top videos I no longer can view. Did they change something with the update to prevent youtube videos from playing. A very low percentage play.
I'm using the youtube app on the menu.
First off I would like to apologize to all the kittens, but I was just curious. Will the update make it possible to watch videos on websites like cnn or cubs.com. They all say phone cannot play videos. Thank you and once again sorry kitties.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Evo wont play any videos, i've tried through crackle, tru tv app, sprint tv, you tube, on and on and on. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, and updating profiles and software. I am real close to throwing a $200 phone against the wall! (breathe) Has anyone else had this problem? And do you know of any fixes for it? On Sprint TV, i get an error message saying This channell is not currently available. On other sites/apps, I get an error saying only that this video can not be played.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am a CrossFitter and like to download and view videos from the site, but none of them will work. I tried to figure out why through hours of researching and different video players, but I got nothing. The site is Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness and I can't seem to get 90% of the .wmv videos working at all. Sometimes some of them work and I can't figure out why. I thought it was the frame rate because the occasional lower quality one (non-widescreen) work fine. Most are high quality and these are the ones I want to play. Can anyone get this one to work as an example: http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/Games2010_ Oconnor Speal _Tapering.wmv? I can successfully convert them, but I want to view them right from the web with no adjusting.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering if the Droid can handle voice commands such as "Play Music", "Party Shuffle", "Play (Artist)", "Play (Song)", "Play (Album)", "Open Email", "Play (Video)", etc, etc; or if there are plans for this in the future firmware? I personally could make use of this, especially "Play (Artist)". I tried to make it play a song and it called my grandma ):
Also, can anyone tell me the difference between voice search and voice dialer? It seems like when I use voice dialer, I say "Call Home" and a list of options pops up of who to call (one choice being Home) (When I wish it would have just automatically called Home), but if I use voice search it automatically does call Home.
I've had my HTC Desire for a couple of months now and it's truly a great phone! Today my 32Gb micro SD card arrived for it and I set about moving my media onto it. I wanted to see if I could watch movies on my phone so I set about converting one from a full HD .mkv file to an .mp4 using handbrake. I read up on what the best parameters are and stuck to them religiously.I can play other videos on it no problem but when it comes to my own it just says that it can't play them, I've tried Meridian (which seems unstable as hell btw) but that doesn't help. My file is a couple of gigs in size when the encoding is done but I'm not short on space so that's not such an issue. I don't know why the phone is being so picky, can anyone please suggest what I might be doing wrong?
View 10 Replies View RelatedIS pretty much the only way to watch them on the EVO is get them on your computer and convert them to mp4 then swap the the SD card?
View 1 Replies View Relatedtrying to play videos on my DI. I didn't spend a lot of time looking into what it takes to play videos but I assumed it would be pretty straight forward and "drag 'n' drop." I've loaded a .mp4, .avi, and a .mkv. So far, none of them work. I didn't try them all at the same time (mostly because each time I just threw the video on there, assumed it would work, then found out later it didn't) so they have all been different videos, thus shouldn't be corrupted files. What do I need to do to get them to play?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having great difficulty getting my Android application to play videos from the SD card. It doesn't matter what size, bitrate, video format, or any other setting I can think of, neither the emulator nor my G1 will play anything I try to encode. I've also tried a number of videos from the web (various video formats, bitrates, with and without audio tracks, etc.), and none of those work either.
