View 2 RepliesWhen i used the face book app to take a photo and post it to my wall, the quality was the worst i have seen an image in in a long time. Is there a way to change the default quality of photo upload with that "take a picture" feature?

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe stock one on the droid stinks. i'm currently using nswviewer but i'm not in love with it either. i would like something with customizable folders and possibly flick to the next pic...not click.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new to this phone and so far so good.Working things out and getting it set up like I want it. I have two photograph widgets on one of my screens, one set up for newly taken pictures and one set up for newly shot video. The only problem is, I don't know how to change the default video save location. I am using the astro file manager and have seen that all videos and pictures save into a file named DCIM on my SD card. How do I change this to make it save pictures and videos into different files?I have made a different file for my videos and manually moved them into the folder but the phone is still saving new videos to the same old default place.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI never watch YouTube videos in anything other than high quality. But the only way I can see to change the quality is via the menu on a per-video basis. It defaults to the lesser quality, which is REALLY crappy!
Is there some way to change the default to play videos in the best quality?
And also, what's to gain by playing them in the lesser quality? Bandwidth? Battery conservation? Load time? For a phone with such a magnificant display size & resolution, I can't imagine why anyone would want to view videos in anything but the best quality possible.
Is it possible to share my video or my photo from my application on the web in android? If possible how to do this? I made a application and now i want to share some my feature on the web so how i can do it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone keeps telling me I'm low on space, but I cleaned out my sd card and I know I haven room. Just today my phone at the top scroll bar said I was running low on space, and that my text memory was full even though I only had very few.

Found this topic on the Droid forum. I find it pretty interesting and pretty interesting that the Eris can keep up with the Droid and that no flash isn't as big of an issue as you would think.
Might change some minds if the flash feature is something you thing is big when deciding between Eris and Droid.
I moved to a different town after buying my Eris. I changed my service address at verizon.com but my phone keeps showing my old town as it's default location on the clock widget and in other apps. I know the clock widget has a change city setting, but my small town doesn't show up in their cities database. Is there any way to change the default home location of my phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhere are the pictures taken on the EVO located? Are they stored on the SD card, or the internal memory of the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedYou know that Google+ Instant Upload photos don't count against your storage, but do you want that free storage for any photo at all? Here is a little workaround
Simple, but effective: just hook your phone up to your computer and drag and drop any photos you want into your phone's camera folder and, viola, they are treated like newly taken photos and uploaded to G+. (or use a file manager right on your phone to copy and paste there). Then, just delete those photos from the camera folder afterwards.
Now, keep in mind that they will be reduced to the "free upload" pixel limit of 2048, just like any other instant uploads, but for many of us, our camera phone pictures are not much bigger anyway.
Extra pro-tip: videos are also "free storage" and they don't reduce their quality at all. You can really maximize your free G+ storage with video.
I have a SGS4, Is there any way to recover deleted photo from the internal storage? My phone is 100% stock without root.
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust a quick thank you to all the regulars who give up their time to populate these forums with some great advice that has made my first week of Hero ownership so much more fruitful. Now I wish to move a photo from one place to another folder using Astro and somewhere I'm losing the plot. I long press the photo, I then choose edit, then move......but then how do I actually move the photo/file to it's new location?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have not noticed this posted yet so just adding here for those that have not found it. The new camera/video/gallery application supports cropping. After taking a photo or viewing in the gallery, press the Menu button and Crop. You can resize the crop box by touching the edges or move it by touching in the center. Using this feature I was able to create and share panoramic images that were much more interesting. Clicking Menu and then More reveals the "Show on Map" command which displays the location the photo was taken.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI watch a lot of anime from Nwanime or TV series from Couchtuner When I open these video webpages on Android I have to nagivate like on a desktop browser (tiny play button and maximise button and seek bar) On the iphone the video would open in the default video player.
How can I enable my Android device to open these videos with a default video player like mxplayer for example?
*note. Mxplayer is already my dafault player, so if I open an actual video file it plays in mxplayer. My problem is with web video
I have Iocean X7S phone, which runs perfect except one problem. X7S has opportunity to save apps to either internal storage, phone storage or external SD-card. Every location works as saving files. However, I can't use phone storage as apps saving location. There is Phone storage and SD card opportunities in Settings -> Storage -> 'Default write disk' . However, whichever I choose as primary, there doesn't happen anything. If external SD card is mounted, there is "Move to SD card" button in apps and a tab 'SD card' in Settings -> Apps. If I unmount SD card, there disappears opportunity to choose primary save location, SD card tab and button to move app another location. However, there reads 'Phone storage app 0.00B' and 'Phone storage data 0.00B' in apps instead of 'SD card app and data' when SD card is unmounted. So I think it is some kind of software issue.
I have tried factory reset different ways without any result, there is still only opportunity to keep apps in internal storage or SD-card. In storagesdcard0 is external SD-card and sdcard1 is phone storage.
Android browser passwords, where are they stored? I need one that I've forgotten. I'm using 2.3.4 and ES File Explorer. ADR6300
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else experienced a strange problem with the Milestone (running 2.1) camera - in every photo, the right edge shows a thin vertical strip of the next photo! Shows in both Gallery & Media Gallery.. but don't have a similar issue in a video.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an application with a lot of media data (images and videos) that were previously stored on the sdcard. With that, images and videos are displayed fine in my app.
Now, in order to secure the content more, I wanted to move the content to the internal storage / data dir of the app, which I did. I copied all media with a routine within my app to the data folder (/data/data/com.myapp/some/folders/video.mp4) and adjusted the path in my app so that it would look for the media in the internal storage data directory and not the sdcard anymore.
Everything works fine, images are being displayed (decoded) properly, but videos don't play. They files do exist though - I do not get a FileNotFound exception. But an IOException: java.io.IOException: Prepare failed.: status=0xFFFFFFFC
Why is that? Everything is handled within my one app and the videos have been copied with the same routine as the images, thus having the same permission settings. Looking at the stack trace, it all runs in process id 18060).
Why I cannot playback the video from internal storage? Or how can I?

I have set the install location of my phone to external. Even though I am installing apps to ad directly, I can't install apps higher than the internal free space left.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYou know when you call someone who doesn't have a photo linked to their contact it displays the green android guy. Well I really like what forum member sprint fun did with his avatar by making it into a OSU buckeye. I would much rather see that image rather then the green default android guy. Sprint fun has already said I could use the image, but I have no idea how or if its possible to set it as the default image for callers with no photo linked to their account.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've come over from a Window's based phone and love the Incredible, but am having a problem with pictures that I can't find an answer to in the manual.
I simply want to save all the pictures I take with the phone to the SD card so I can transfer the entire file later to dedicated photography software to be cataloged and tweaked.
I can't find how to set up the system so that every photo goes directly to the SD card by default.
Is there a way to set USB mode as mass storage as default instead of MTP mode on Android 2.3.5?
