For the last few weeks my notification light doesn't come on for anything except a low battery. I've seen from other posts here that it only comes on in sleep mode in 2.1, but mine doesn't even come on then. I downloaded LED Tester from the market and those aren't coming up either which has me worried. If this means a VZW swap, backup recommendations?

My light has stopped working. The LED isnt dead, cos I DL'd Missed Call from the Market, and it works with that app, but not when I get a text, tweet or FB invite/msg/event. It flashed green for: tweets and texts and Blue for FB notifications.

I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem or knew of any possible ways to fix it.I was thinking it might have been a bug with the app Missed Call, but I've played with all the settings on there and it hasn't changed. I don't know what else could be causing it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anybody else ever been in an SMS (Google Voice), email, or IM conversation with somebody, with your phone continually beeping every 30 seconds when you get a new message? This happens to me a lot. The phone is sitting next to me on my desk, and each time it beeps, I pick it up, push the power button, swipe to unlock, swipe down the notifications bar, and then look to see what's new. After doing this about 30 times in an hour, I have to ask myself, is this really necessary on a modern smartphone? The dumbest dumbphone I know will light up when you get a new text. Now, I have searched high and low, and am I just stupid, or is there no setting or app available to turn the screen on for like 5 seconds and display new notifications as soon as they come in?

(So much to do, I was bored with i Phone 4 ) So far battery life is not that great, drops 10 % every hour or 2 without heavy duty. (is this normal?) But yeah my question is every time I unlock the screen,(so when the screen wakes up) the notification light blinks with blue/red color. Is that normal? I checked Motorola, it wasn't on the manual.

Wow, I thought, maybe they fixed the facebook app in the background without forcing me to update. Haven't seen the blue light since, and it has been 2 days and 7-9 notifications later.
Any idea when they will fix the facebook app? Or better yet, any idea how I got it to light up once randomly? It was somebody posting a comment on my wall post fyi (and the notifications still don't refresh in the app itself). Also, why can't I view linked youtube videos from other peoples comments? Obviously the droid can use youtube, so it seems odd that they wouldn't let you watch posted videos.
I'm currently rooted (Easy Root) on a stock ROM D1 (2.2 FRG01B) and I receivced an OTA update this morning - most likely FRG22D. I've made a nandroid back up and a ROM backup before I made any changes. So far, I've only removed some of the bloatware from the stock ROM - 5 or 6 programs.Do I unroot, install the update and reroot? Is it that easy? Or do I have to install one of the backups?

I just yesterday noticed they aren't working, emails nor text messages. I don't know when it started not working, but I think it was working when I first installed bugless beast v1.0
LED notifications:
Stock email = none
Stock messaging = none
Custom stock messaging in BB = none
Handcent = none
I wiped cache/data/system everytime I installed a ROM to fix it.
Bugless beast v1.0 (twice) - not working
NexBeast - not working
Leaked BB - not working
It was working before with the leak for sure.
I don't have any other roms and with the alldroid drama I can't get them.
I checked setting and spare parts multiple times for some setting to no avail.
So my FB app doesnt re-up any FB notifications for some reason. It has been two solid days and on my phone it says I haven't had any notifications for 2 days on FB... while on the reg site (from my comp) I have had approx 15. Why isn't my FB app getting notifications?

When I click on send, search, or login nothing happens. It's frustrating when you're on the road and need to find something. I'm using the stock browser. I found several programs in the market but they only seemed concerned with "changing" the color of the light (which does not work) and how fast the light will flash. View 13 Replies View RelatedI received my new Droid recently (yes, for Christmas), everything was working fine - even while using the Open Home feature.
However, some time this past week - or longer - the voice mail notification has stopped working. No blinky light, no icon, nothing. I have tested using the regular Home and the Open Home - same results. Just a missed call notification. Further troubleshooting steps I have taken was just powering off the phone and powering back on. I have also removed the battery for a couple of minutes and replaced, still the same. I have also cleared out all voicemails and left myself a voicemail, still same thing. Only the missed call notification.

I could just do a complete wipe and reload to see if that resolves my issue - but my question is, the applications I have paid for, will I have to pay for them again? Or does it keep track of what you purchase?
I just picked up an Eris after having the nearly identical Hero for about 3 weeks. On the Hero, there was a notification LED on the top of the phone. It blinked when I had new e-mail, texts, or voicemails. I see the Eris has a small LED light in the top right corner, but that seems to only light up when charging? Is that all that light does? Indicate when the phone is charging? I would think that would blink when notifications from SMS, calls or e-mail come in? Is it supposed to?

Well, i have putted to be notified in 1 hour if i have new emails the problem is the phone didn't check the emails and didn't have the notifications. only if i enter on the "Mail" application i have the new emails.. if i didn't enter, this didn't check the emails. View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of the nice things I had with my BB was an app that allowed you to modify the length, frequency, and color of your LED light notifications for when you had missed calls, emails, etc. That way you didn't have to bring the screen alive to know if you didn't hear the audible notification. The LED on the EVO seems to be pretty short and sometimes infrequent. I seem to keep bringing the screen alive to find I have missed emails etc. but the LED wasn't flashing at all. Has anyone found a good App that does this?
