View 6 RepliesI was able to unlock the device and install CWM. I wasn't paying attention when i did a wipe, and didn't see it was unable to wipe /data and several other locations. Its probably because its encrypted. I thought it would have asked for the password to access those areas to wipe them. So i just went ahead and flashed Cyanogenmod 10 nightly build. Now it wont boot past asus logo. Is there a way to flash a rom on an encrypted tablet?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this animation I made but I'm not that knowledgeable with the desc.txt file. My part0 folder is below could someone please write the desc.txt file, zip it and get it working for me please. I'd like it to stretch the width of the screen and the height doesn't matter. I have it currently at 480x240 and like it there. I've tried a few times but I keep getting the dreaded black screen.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI made a boot animation. Not great but I am trying. Anyway, I can get it to look right when it is set to the center of the screen (480x427 not full screen) but when I set it to 480x854 (full screen) it gets stretched out. I was told the png files had to be 256x256 so I don't know what I could change so it doesn't look stretched. My animation looks like my avatar that I made and it looks just like it does here before applying the 854 settings. After seeing a lot of other custom boots mine isn't looking so good.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI went to reboot my Droid because it was lagging a little and when it came back on it go stuck at the Cyanogen boot screen. I pulled the battery, put it back in and held the X to boot in recovery and my recovery won't come up either. It just skips right to the Motorola M and if it doesn't get stuck there it goes back to the Cyanogen screen.
I haven't made any changes to the phone at all so I am completely puzzled on why this is happening. I obviously can't take it back to Verizon since its rooted so if there is a way to fix this I really want to because I love my phone and my wife will kill me if it is screwed up.
Was wondering if there is anyone out there on this forum that might make me a custom boot animation. I suck at photoshop. I have tried to do it but it looks terrible. The one I want should be simple (I think)for a person who knows what they are doing. All I want is the stock boot animation droid word highlighted in neon green like a lot of blue ones I see where it splashes blue with highlights and the red eye turned the same neon green with my name highlighted neon green like the word droid but name will be above the eye. Kind of like this but with my name from sort of beginning to end.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been searching around the forums for some custom boot animations, and I noticed that there is not one consolidated thread for all of these animations. So, I thought I would start this thread where everyone can post their custom animations. I just rooted my Droid, and I am looking for the default eye animation and the nexus one boot animation. I would love to see all the custom boot animations everyone has made.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI finally figured out how to get my custom boot animation running. My friend is working on the graphics for my custom animation. I will post a video and full how to writeup when I'm done!
View 49 Replies View RelatedI've found plenty of tutorials on how to get a custom boot animation on my droid. First question, they all say to use the "terminal". Is this just an app? Secondly it asks to copy a file in the systems folder, can i pull this from a nandroid backup? I love the boot animation from smoke themed liq frozen yogurt, just not the ROM itself.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI finished my boot animation and uploaded it to YouTube, so I thought I'd share it again. (Last time I embedded a .gif file, and it wouldn't play on the DROID.)
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I decided to hijack the "Red Rage" boot animation and use it as the base of my animation. Mine just has some Georgia Bulldog love to it. Also I have modified my boot logo and no longer have the "M" its now a lot nicer. I will include the bootanimation.zip in case anyone wants this. Just place it in the /data/local/ folder. Do not Unzip it, leave it how it is. If you have another one there just rename it with a .bak extension in case you don't like mine. Its stretched a little vertically, not sure why not too noticeable tough.

Anyone know how to put a custom boot animation on froyo? I really like the one I had previously and it matches what i got now.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to put a custom boot animation on my moto droid 1. I have root I have done it before and I am using froyo. My big problem now is that I tried putting a different one I downloaded on and it worked. So I need someone to tell me whats wrong with the one I made, because I am out of ideas. I have compared size, resolution, ppi, bit depth but for some reason my images are way bigger files. The sequence was created by using virtualdub to clip a section of an animated short, then exporting an image sequence as png.
But I've fed the images through gimp and an image resizer. The frames are only some of them because I went through deleting every other frame a few times to cut down on the total size. The file is too big to attach here so i put it on my web space at:
http://www.freaksed.com/stuff/bootanimation.zip
I am using the patch that lets me put the files in datalocal and be named bootanimation.zip. it works I've tried with other animations like I said.
I have tried this on 4 Different Roms (Smoked Glass 4, 5, 6 and Nextheme 0.9) And no matter what I do, if I use a custom sound for notifications, the phone upon restart will boot loop indefinitely, and the only way I can make it stop is to VERY quickly slide the mute left so the phone is muted the next time it boots, then it stops, or if I cant get that to work, I have to restore from a nandroid backup. I have the files on my sd card in /media/audio/notifications All lower case (but have tried with a cap) The only things that hasnt changed, is that I have only tried mp3 files. But I also tried, by using the Zedge Ringtones App to the same effect. Whats the deal? Any Ideas?
Currently running Nextheme 0.9 ESE81 R3
BaseBand C_01.3E.01P
Edit: Also worth note as it may help, its only notifications that causes this issue, custom ringtones and alarms are fine. Even using the same short (8 second) Mp3 as a ringtone causes no issue. And the mp3 plays in the list of notifications when you select it, as it should. The only thing i can think of is possibly that the phones mp3 decoder loads after the boot up sound? Is that even logical?
On previous phones such as the Droid Eris and Droid 1, users were able to use custom boot animations without being rooted. All you had to do was push the new file to the boot animation location and it would over ride the old one. I really want custom boot animations on my X but am not rooted. Does anyone know a solution to this other than rooting and how to install without being rooted?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a program where I can convert a clip into .png files? I would like to start making my own boot animations, but can't seem to find a program that would allow me to do such a thing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am going to post some custom boot animations here. I will update the thread as i make them. It might not be chock full of updates every day, but i do plan on making a lot of video game related bootscreens, and anything else i think is awesome.
Just rename to 'bootanimation.zip'

I've tried pushing the bootanimation.zip using ADB, but every time it just boots with the new bootscreen. anyone else having this problem...anyone with a solution?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've seen the Motorola Droid users doing this, but I'd like my own custom animation for the boot up screen on the Galaxy. Anyone know how you go about that? I tried copying a bootanimation.zip file in there as per the Droid instructions but looks like the Galaxy doesn't use it. Where are the boot up screen/animations stored on the Galaxy?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make my own boot animation (A simple android kitkat logo), but when I put it in /system/media/bootanimation.zip and reboot the phone, it goes to black screen.
I followed the steps described in that guide and read that post, but they didn't share the solution and the mediafire link is dead. I'm attaching my current bootanimation.zip
just out of curiosity do you have to use the activation screen that comes up when you boot or can you just do it online like any other phone and once activated that screen wont come up?
View 1 Replies View Relatedalright well i was running flyx and decided i wanted to restore to a backup i made on 2.1 pre installing a rom. after the backup began it ran through and ended up at the motorola boot screen. stuck! this is the only recovery i have. now when i boot into recovery i get this message: e:can't open /cache/recovery/command
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I'm relatively new to rooting. I'm running BB .4, and that went okay. I'm trying to install a theme using ROM Manager. I backup and wipe and it loads into recovery and all that. That runs okay. Then, when it's rebooting, it gets stuck on the DROID screen. Well, actually, it does it once, goes to the Droid eye, and then just repeats the DROID screen over and over. A battery pull allows me to get back into recovery, which lets me restore my back up and then it boots just fine, but I'd really like to make my phone purple. Any ideas?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone and have been using the 3G hotspot and some overclocking apps. Today I decided to load a custom rom. I did some research and bought Rom Manager and Bootstrap. I did the bootstrap and than rebooted to recovery. Than I installed rubix from the sd Card. I found someone else with the problem here and people told them to pull the battery and get into recovery. When I do that I get a droid with an exclamation mark screen. I cant seem to get into recovery or do anything and I am stuck at the rubix boot screen. It seems my problem is because I did not wipe my date or clear cache when installing... but I can't get into recovery to re-do it!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my droid to froyo (sapphire) and everything seemed to be going smooth until i rebooted the phone from recovery. The motorola M screen came up and then the sapphire came up. After about ten seconds it goes away and reappears and has been doing this for the past 35 minutes. Is this normal? Any clue on what i need to do to fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have to send my X back and well, it has the boot image of an android peeing on an apple. I don't think Verizon will take to kindly to that. So I have to reset the entire phone and get it back to factory defaults. I don't know how to change the boot animation.

Works well, I keep rebooting and installing incorrect apks to bootloop.
Where the config settings, calibration data etc for asus transformer prime touch screen (and touch pad as well) are saved? I know for files in /system/usr/idc/atmel_maxtouch.idc for example. What exactly do those numbers in the atmel_maxtouch.idc mean. I can imagine what some numbers mean but not all...
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor the past 2 hours I have been searching this site and reading about Rooting and Flashing new ROM's etc. and I'm still having trouble. I downloaded Cyanogen 6.0.0 and when the phone re booted it got stuck at the Cyanogen boot animation screen, and when I pulled the Battery and rebooted in to recovery I was able to restore everything and now the phone works again.
So first off, how long should it take after downloading a new ROM to boot back up with the new ROM installed? And how can I save the ROM in to the SD card? And when I go to DL Cyanogen it asks which home application I should use and gives me ADWlauncher and Launcher 2 as options.
I'm kind of new to Rooting and Roms but I keep getting the same problem while installing Roms using Rom Manager. I flash and then I install the ROM and everything goes well until the boot up screen. It gets stuck in a loop of the Droid and Droid Eye animation and I have to restore it. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I am using the Droid with Froyo, rooted using Easy Root.
