I'm running Cyanogenmod 6. I just noticed that I can't find Google voice or Google maps in the market. I do have the apps installed, but can't see them int he market to get updates. I tried out LFY1.7 and Ultimate Droid 1.0.0, and see the same issue.
Anyone get their device to register? Froyo Feature: How to use the Google Chrome to Phone Extension | Android Central I'm trying, and it's just stuck at "Registering Device" This is one of the most important features for me.
I received the invite for Google Voice/Phone today - I set up the phone, received my new number, and have even called the number to make sure it works...it does....But I want to be able to toggle back and forth from my verizon number and google number when making calls....how do I go about this....
I have publish a app with this AndroidManifest.xml:
and with publish option Copy Protection = ON(Helps prevent copying of this application from the device. Increases the amount of memory on the phone required to install the application.), Locations = all Locations but i found that some device can't find it in market , it including Acer liquid, sony ericsson x10 mini pro, and even a Sansung Galaxy S.
Before i posted this I did see 5 other threads about Google chrome but only one stating another phone that will ( possible ) have Google chrome web browser in the phone. I'm writing wondering why if this is a Google phone why doesn't Google and htc implement Google chrome web browser in the phone i mean come on there's opera mini browser in there. I'm not saying anything bad about opera thats other people vote on good or bad but why not have Google chrome in a Google phone?? when Apple makes a device the use what they make ( I'm a huge apple user I work for them ) notice i didn't use the word "fan"?
Ive got fabs 2.2 on my droid but how do I use chrome to phone? Got my phone registered with my email and that box checked on the actual phone itself. But what do I need on the computer side? I've searched through the goggle extensions and haven't found anything?
I'm new to this, but this site has helped me a lot. I recently viewed my friends droid and saw that he had a different, quicker home. So I searched for the exact app he has called home ++ and my droid cannot find it. I'm running on 2.2
Google Chrome ships by default with a terrific little feature called "Sync". Sync basically allows you to share your bookmarks on any computer running Google Chrome, simply by configuring Chrome to use your Gmail account. I love this because I have two computers at home, and one at work, and can access all the same bookmarks from any of the computers.
My question is, is anyone aware of a method or application that would allow me to access these synced Google bookmarks through my Android phone? I am using an HTC Desire with Froyo (Cyanogenmod 6.0). I use the Dolphin HD browser, and am aware of options of importing my bookmarks manually, however I prefer to keep my bookmarks organized into folders and not just displayed as one long list. If nothing already exists, I may just get scripty and server up a website that would display all of my Chrome bookmarks in the browser.
Is anyone having trouble with Chrome to phone? or Fox to phone? It was working like a charm and then stopped sending pages. It happens on every computer I use it on and every browser. All I get is nothing or and error "error can't send page" from a Chrome browser and I actually it the devs page on Fox to phone saying 404 page not found. I've uninsulated and reinstalled both the phone app and the browsers plug ins numerous times. After doing that it may work once but generally does the same thing.
I have google map 4.4 on my HTC Evo 4g but i cant find it in the android market searching for maps, google maps, maps google, etc. i realize i have the new version and it shouldnt matter but i dont understand why it wont come up in a search. i have other apps that i have installed that still show up in search.
Based on some quick tests, I've noticed the following: if you kill the Google Messaging Service, Chrome to Phone (a.k.a. Send to Phone) will stop working.
This seems rather obvious, but I had been in the habit of killing the Google Talk Service (GTalk) prior to Froyo. After Froyo, it looks like the service was renamed/replaced with Google Messaging Service.
I suspect that killing the Google Messaging Service could affect other Google services too.
I have not looked at Chrome OS yet so I am looking for some feedback on how to tether with it.
Using a non-rooted Droid, is it possible to tether with Chrome OS?
I know there are ways to tether your non-rooted Droid with Linux/Windows/Mac, but the software required will not run under Chrome OS (for example, one of the Linux solutions requires you have the SDK installed).
So Google has finished their announcement and it's Chrome to Phone & Google's One-Button Voice Actions. Basically my question is are these features that would just need to be turned on in the ROMs or are these things going to be released in future Froyo updates? I understand for Chrome to Phone it's going to be a plugin in Chrome and a download from the market for the phones.

After doing some research I've found Chrome to Phone available in the Market and in the Chrome Extensions. Works perfectly
Initially got the package signed incorrectly error for the Voice Search, did a nand backup, used titanium to uninstall the default voice search, rebooted and installed voice search through the market. Worked perfectly. I'd assume this would work for any Froyo ROMs but haven't tested.
Is it still not possible to sync bookmarks from google chrome (pc) browser and another browser on the htc ? I know it is possible to sync opera desktop version with mobile version but it does not open a few pages correctly on some of the sites i use and i am not too keen on the pc version of opera, its trying to do too much. Surely i would have thought googles own browser should be able to sync with google mobile browser.
I had recently read about an amazing new Car Dock app pushed out by Google, but when I searched for it on the Android Market, it was nowhere to be found. I then attempted to download it from the web, but all links took me back to the market, where I would receive a 'file not found' message.Did Google remove this app for some reason?
