Anyone manage to register online at Product Registration SAMSUNG ? I cannot find a working serial anywhere - on the phone itself, on the box, in the phone menus.

Samsung Epic :: How To Find Serial Number On Epic 4G?
How can I find the serial number on my epic 4g? (it's a Sprint, Samsung Galaxy S, Epic 4G). The user guide says "the serial number is located on a nameplate inside the battery compartment". There's nothing under the compartment lid, but under the battery there is a "sticker" with many numbers but none of them say "serial number". The numbers I found under the battery and on the box are called "RS-SCK", "RS-KOI", "RS", "MEID - Hex", and "MEID - DEC". Are one of these the actual serial number?I purchased this 4 days ago direct from the Sprint store. All I want to do is get the serial number recorded for my records.

Android :: Generating Device Specific Serial Number
I would like to be able to generate unique serial numbers for each Android device for use in unlocking an application. How could I do this? EDIT: The reason is I want to revamp a paid application and provide users who have paid for the old version, which will have a different package name, a way to obtain the full version by downloading an unlikable free version of the application. I would push an update to the old version that would generate and display the code that they could enter to turn the Free version into a fully functional version.

Samsung Moment :: Number One Complaint / Voice Capabilities Of Moment
Most every other "issue" to this phone has been a non-issue for me to this point.However, the one feature Samsung really screwed us on is the voice capabilities of the phone.I think they are tied to the Nuance system and therefore unusable by other apps like google voice search and where.I hope samsung or sprint writes a live search app for this phone.I bought the phone with the expectations of this phone being capable of voice commands without being limited by nuance.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Get Serial Number Of Device When Search In Command Bar
I have the sprint HTC Hero with the latest update and when I'm to create a back up it doesn't let me do it. I then tried to downgrade the phone installing the the Sprint RUU and when I tried to install the AndroidSDK drivers I can't get to see the Serial Number of my device when I search in the command bar (following the steps of the Unlock). I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 2. Any help will be appreciated.

If I run several emulators with -no-window option in one machine. The command "adb devices" shows: List of devices attached emulator-5554 device emulator-5556 device emulator-5558 device However, according to this output, I can't tell the difference between each emulator device at all. I need to know which emulator runs on what AVD, then I can install APKs or send commands to the emulator.How can I recognize each emulator device or get the serial number of emulator after it runs?

Samsung Moment : App To Automatically Input Number Into Dialer?
Ive been searching for this for a few days and Ive got nothing so hopefully someone knows. Is there any way to call a number that's been sent via sms? Ex: My wife sent me a text containing the phone number of a client. On previous phones, that number would be a hyperlink and when I clicked it the dialer would open with that number pre-inserted. It seems on the moment I have to memorize the number, go to the dialer and input it in. This isn't so easy when your driving or doing much of anything. Is there any app or setting that allows me to automatically input the number into the dialer? I tried copy and paste but you cant paste into the dialer.

HTC Hero :: How To Put Registration ID On Phone?
Before i contact dataviz, I wanna make sure that maybe someone has done this. I just did a hard reset on my hero because my sense UI kept crashing, so i figured, "maybe if i hard reset, it'll stop the crashes." But before i reseted, i wanted to make sure if i could redownload doc to go before anything else, since this was my only paid app on the phone. I did the hard reset, and for the past hour, I've been trying to retrieve it back. I even purchased a maintenance package that i has the ability to redownload the app up to 10 times in the year. i tried that and it still asked me to register as a new user. Is there anyway i can put my registration ID on the phone? ugh this is really getting to me and i use this app the most for editing a lot on word.

LG Ally :: Anyone Have Any Luck With DivX Registration
I keep trying to get my device registered with DivX so I can play DivX movies, but i'm having no luck. I go through the registration process and transfer the registration movie to my Ally and play it with no problems. But after that, I can't transfer and play any of the DivX movies I've bought on my Ally. And even if I go back and try to replay the registration movie again, it tells me my device is not registered and can't play the movie.Now this is no big deal because I doubt I will ever really watch a movie on my Ally except maybe on a business trip, but I was just curious if anyone has had any luck getting their device registered and/or playing a DivX movie on their Ally? I'd just like to get it setup in case I ever needed it if I could.

what I need to do is auto-register device if not already done and then start polling messages with the credentials I received through this registration. Now, after I read quite a bit about services, threads, asynctasks and the AlarmManager I'm totally confused about how to handle this. :-s So, there are my two main tasks. What would you recommend as a not-too-silly approach 1.) Registration I'm currently spawning a service from my UI thread if there are no credentials saved in the DB. Inside this service I start an asynctask that POSTs my request to the server and receives the credentials for the new device. stopSelf ends the service.....................

Samsung Moment :: Is Samsung Moment Capable Of Multi - Touch?
I currently own a Palm Pre and I'm ready to ditch it for an Android device. Don't get me wrong, webOS is clean and has a lot of potential, but for now...lacking would be a good (albeit understated) word to describe it. I want to jump the Pre ship for the Samsung Moment, but one thing I keep reading about the Moment is bothering me - everyone says it doesn't have multi-touch. However, I recently read that multi-touch is something Android doesn't yet support. This knowledge was previously unbeknownst to me since I haven't used an Android device since the G1 first launched. Since the Moment uses a standard Android build, the OS wouldn't allow multi-touch even if the phone were capable of it. So my question is: Does anyone know whether or not the Moment is capable of multi-touch? If it's simple a shortcoming of Android, I can deal with it since I know Android 2.0 should finally support it.

so I've looked around but don't see any threads on this....but newho, onto the question. has anybody been able to sync their contacts via ATT online Address Book? I've seen like 5 completed syncs in the log, out of prolly 30 total attempts. Either way, i cant log in to check the contacts online. Samsung Moment :: Moment Intermittently Won't Respond / Wake Up When Receiving A Call
I've already done the update but both pre and post update, my Moment intermittently won't respond when getting a call. The call comes in, I hear the ringtone but no matter what buttons I press, the phone won't respond. I have to wait until voicemail kicks in or the call has ended. I called Sprint technical support and they're going to send a new (I hope it's new) phone. I hate to set up the phone for the third time. Is there a fix or should I just bite the bullet and get the new? phone? Has anyone had this problem? What experiences have you had with replacement phones from Sprint? Should I be worried about getting a lemon phone?

So i had a hard decision to make when buying a new phone. It was between the HTC Hero and the Samsung Moment. After about 2 weeks I finally made the jump. I know nothing about rooting phones, so i thought Id ask here. Im in the process of choosing between the moment and the hero, and I cant decide. The biggest concern I have is how fast will the Moment be rooted. Its sounding like they are close with the Hero, and once that is done will that make it easier for someone to figure out how to root the moment? Or is it like starting from scratch from phone to phone? Im also a bit concerned that no one at XDA will be helping with the process since the moment is not an HTC phone. I had a Treo800 when it first cameout, and it seemed like it took FOREVER for roms to make it way to that device. Any thoughts?

I am a Sprint customer looking for an Android phone for basic functions. I am trying to choose between the Hero and the Moment. I have 1 of each right now from Sprint, on the 30 day trial. Here are the challenges I find with each. Does anyone know of any fixes for these? Hero 1) Phone hangs up during calls because of lack of proximity sensor 2) Speaker phone wont turn off once activated, unless I end the call 3) Vibration mode is very weak and basically useless. Cant feel it in my pocket 4) Sprint Navigation does not work Moment 1) Battery runs out before end of day 2) Bluetooth is spotty and wont always connect 3) Web navigation not as smooth as Hero.
