Nov 21, 2010I rooted my lg ally, now I need some steps on how to move at least some of my apps over to my 4gb sd card which seems useless if I can't have apps on it?

Sep 26, 2010Is there a way to move my apps from my internal storage to my sd card. My phone is rooted but don't know what to do past that. Also, I have overclock to speed phone up but when I set min and max to higher settings after I. Save and exit it goes back to exsiting. I tried to find on here but I'm getting overwhelmed with a whole lot of talk that I do not quite get.

Aug 17, 2010Anyway, we all got 2.2 now and can "move apps to the SD" card. I presume one might want to move apps to the SD card to "free up some space" but is that the ONLY reason to move the apps to the card?? Is anyone NOT WAITING until space on the phone is an issue and moving the apps to the card right now?? Are there certain apps that are recommended to be on the phone for proper/faster performance? (I know this was an issue with the Palm Centro I used to have where certain apps HAD TO reside on and launch from the phone)?? What are the general pros/cons (if any, besides "saving space," perhaps regarding performance or other concerns) with leaving apps on the phone vs. the SD card?

Sep 19, 2010I am going to try to hard reset my Incredible in hopes it fixes a couple problems I'm seeing since getting 2.2. I want to back up my apps though, so I go into manage applications and pick an app, but the 'move to SD card' option is grayed out. Also, to hard reset all I have to do is from home screen touch menu-settings-privacy- factory data reset - reset phone. Or is there something I should do instead?

There are still a lot of apps I would like to DL and try out, but before doing that I would like to move as much as possible to the SD card, it says I have 3.67 GB available, so plenty of room. However When I go to Applications--> Manage Applications the ption to move them to the SD card is grayed out and the option is not available to me. What do I need to do to turn it on?

I tried to open run command on my pc with phone connected and typed pm setInstallLocation 0.....but all that comes up is command is not recognized.

Jun 13, 2010I am trying to move a couple of apps onto my SD card. I know you long press the app you want to move, and select the choice to move it. is TiBu shows the notification of it being moved. I then go back into setting, look at the apps on SD card, and they do not show up. I am running NexBeast FRF57 V0.1.1. My Titanium Backup is at version 3.2.4, I can reboot, still doesnt work. Superuser shows Titanium has permissions, so I am not sure what the deal is.

1. This message doesn't appear to be causing any problems with my phone. Is this something that needs to be corrected? If so, how? 2. Are all of these partitions located on the SD card itself or in the ROM? 3. What do I need to do to correct this? 4. Does the apps2sd application move the applications to the apps2st/sd-ext partition? If so, I'm confused. I use the apps2sd app. If the partition doesn't exist, where are they moved to?
HTC Wildfire :: Low Internal Memory / Trying To Move Applications To SD
Nov 11, 2010This is extremely annoying since I have a new 32GB memory card class 6. There's about 11mb of internal memory on the phone left and I have tried to move applications to memory card but some don't have this feature. I have used swapper2 but this only makes the problem worse. I have a rooted HTC Wildfire mobile with the WildPuzzel rom installed.
Low on memory and the phone is slowing down and is becoming unresponsive some times. Completely ridiculous how the device comes with only 500mb of internal memory, since this is a smart phone/computer that's not very smart. Is there a method to use the memory card as internal storage space or as ram. As mentioned I used the swapper2 programme with no success. Any other hacks, I have tried over clocking but don't want to use this. I want to address the issues of low memory.
I have some games that take up about 20mb of ram:
galigochaser 18.7mb
hungry shark 11mb
speed forge 7.3mb
Just an example of application that I would like to move but the feature is not built in the application.
