Incredible :: Fast Forward And Rewind Audio With Htc's Sense Music App?

Jun 21, 2010

How do you rewind and fast forward with htc's sense music app? You would think that holding down either button would do it but it doesn't. I know you can click the scroll bar but it gets annoying when I want to skip say 10 seconds. Any ideas anyone?

Media :: Player - Long Files - Cannot Fast Forward Through Song At All

Jan 10, 2010

I was wondering if anyone has had luck playing .mp3 files that are around 100-200+ meg in size? I'm working through the "Best Player" thread trying to find something that will. So far the only one to come close is Ringdroid, of all things, but try as it did it would not load the file (all other apps I've tried so far just say it's an unsupported file).

Ps the file I'm trying plays fine in Audacity on my Linux box. An iPod will play these files but you cannot fast forward through the song at all.

HTC Incredible :: ROM Retains Aforementioned Sense Music Player?

Sep 13, 2010

So I tried 5 or 6 different Roms of various degrees of sense retention (sky raider, jager, cyanogen, virtuous, ruby etc...) yesterday. i'm on page plus so the power button data toggle that sense brings to the table is a godsend. the sense music player is also much better imho, especially on the lock screen. pretty much everything else sense is bubbly designed counterintuitive bloat to me: the keyboard, the email app, the dialer, the messaging app. i'm a big fan of chomps ms and launcher pro and had a setup i loved on my droid. SO, is there any ROM you know of that is mostly vanilla but retains the aforementioned sense music player and data/3g power button toggle but has the android dialer and email app?

If you aren't seeing this behavior on yours, would you mind telling me the compression method you did?

Samsung is so easy to use and I have no probs (yet) with my mini pro but haven't tried sending a music file using bluetooth..can it be done? Any nice guy/gal who can answer my question?

HTC Desire :: Main Music Player Seems To Drain Battery Fast

Jun 17, 2010

So, after getting rid of my iPod Touch and a lovely Sony Ericsson Elm, I'm in the possession this beautiful device. I've been currently using this device as my main music player as well, it seems very good (apart from no equalizers).

The problem is, the music player seems to drain the battery pretty fast. I've been searching around and people have said to have gotten max 7 and a half hours on a full battery? Compared to even the iPhone 3g, which I know is UP TO 24 hours, but that doesn't ever mean you'll get full time, probably 15 or 16 hours, thats very poor.

General :: HTC Android 2 With Sense - How To Reset (stock) Music Player

May 10, 2012

How can I reset pre-cached info of stock music player?

I edited tags of all my music files, having categorized them by Classical, Folk, New Age, Pop, Rock, Russian, Soundtrack.

These are ONLY genres I specified.

When I open player, it displays a bunch of Ethno-Lounge, Classic Prog, JPop, Light Classical Crossover, Minimalist Techno and all of those Mumbo Jumbo.

Then I erased all IDv1 and APE tags, I edited and resaved IDv3 twice, I ensured no genres except specified by me really present in these files.

But it looks like the player displays just an old info.

How can I reset pre-cached info of stock music player to force it to re-read new tags?

SettingsApplicationsMusic and Music EnhancerClear Data - already pressed. No effect except options "Shuffle" and "Repeating" are reset, and buttons take the default order.

It seems to treat the entire flash player as one object rather than different objects within the player. Anyone else having issues fast forwarding flash video? General :: Send All Music / Audio Over DLNA?

Jan 25, 2013

I'm very much interested in being able to send my music/audio from my phone to a DLNA renderer on my home network. There are plenty of individual apps out there to do this, such as BubbleUPnP, Twonky, etc, or even indeed the music app built in to my HTC One X. However what I'm wondering is if there's a way to have all music/audio re-directed over WiFi to a DLNA renderer?

What I'm looking for would be something similar to when you plug in headphones or connect a Bluetooth audio device: any application that plays media has the audio directed to the headphones or bluetooth connection, instead of the internal phone speaker - that's exactly what I want, but with the audio being directed over WiFi to a DLNA renderer. I'd configure the app/service/whatever to send all audio over DLNA, and then it doesn't matter whether I'm using Dogcatcher, Spotify, the built-in Music app or Google Music - all audio automatically gets directed to the DLNA renderer.

Having to use yet another app on top of the various media applications I already use is a real pain; plus I highly doubt any of the existing applications will support Spotify streams (Twonky and BubbleUPnP don't), and I had little success when experimenting with Twonky yesterday. As mentioned my built-in music app already does this so I'm already part of the way there, but I'd like it to be system-wide rather than app specific.

The DLNA renderer I'll be using will either be a standard PC running XBMC, or a headless Raspberry Pi embedded Linux computer; either way they'll both be fully UPnP/DLNA compliant.

HTC Incredible :: Battery Draining Really Fast - Cell Standby And Phone Idle At 36% Each

Aug 6, 2010

Just yesterday my phone was getting more than 14+ hours of battery. Now it's draining really quickly even when I'm not using it (I left it on while I was asleep). It's not facebook because I already downloading the fix and rebooted. My "time without signal" is 0% so I don't think that's the problem. I did download Quickpedia yesterday but a quick search tells me that's not the problem either.

The only other thing I did differently was switch from ADW to LauncherPro yesterday, but if that was draining the battery wouldn't it be under Android System and not standby or idle? Regardless, I switched back to ADW just to see if that works

Android :: Why All Audio Formats Always Passed To Music Player?

Jul 27, 2010

I am writing a music player for esoteric music formats, and have defined mime types for them in my Manifest.
However, the standard music player is always started even though it can't handle the format. Looking at logcat I see;

: D/MediaScannerService( 688): IMediaScannerService.scanFile: / sdcard/download/Cybernoid.sid mimeType: audio/prs.sid : I/ActivityManager( 578): Stopping service: com.android.providers.media/.MediaScannerService : I/ActivityManager( 578): Starting activity: Intent { action=android.intent.action.VIEW data=file:///sdcard/download/ Cybernoid.sid type=audio/prs.sid flags=0x4000000 comp={com.android.music/com.android.music.MediaPlaybackActivity} }

.. so it seems the component is explicitly set to the music player ? Is there any way around this ?
