I was on the menu thing (the bit where you touch the arrow button on the main screen) with all my apps up on show but I must have touched something when i looked away because now, none of my apps are showing up when i go onto it. I have to find some other way of getting to them. The only ones that are showing up are Settings, App Sharing, Setup and a few others. But i just want to get all of my apps back onto one screen?
I just got a htc wildfire and was playing around on the home screen then suddenly I go to the all apps menu and there are only 8 apps there and i had at least 30. I must of hit a button to clear them when I looked away for a second. Then I went to my settings and the apps are all still on my phone they just arent appearing on my all apps menu. How do I get them all on the all apps menu again? I need serious help I have no idea what to do.
I am using HTC wildfire and using Rom galaxy nexus by Gmerv . the work good but the YouTube is not working prsoperly it shows errors mostly like "connection to the server is lost . please try again later " or " there was problem in playing in video please try again". also I am using WiFi have no data plan.
I'm considering getting a Wildfire over the Desire/Legend to save some cash. but i've heard that the wildfire doesn't get some apps due to it's lower screen resolution Would just like to know if there are a large number of apps that can't be used on the wildfire because of this? because if that's the case i'd rather spend the money and get a desire
Has anyone installed an external app i.e. from an SD card on there Wildfire. If yes, which app did you use. One way to install an external app is through HTC sync, however considering that sync doesn't work with the Wildfire yet, I need to find another way to do this.
This is extremely annoying since I have a new 32GB memory card class 6. There's about 11mb of internal memory on the phone left and I have tried to move applications to memory card but some don't have this feature. I have used swapper2 but this only makes the problem worse. I have a rooted HTC Wildfire mobile with the WildPuzzel rom installed.
Low on memory and the phone is slowing down and is becoming unresponsive some times. Completely ridiculous how the device comes with only 500mb of internal memory, since this is a smart phone/computer that's not very smart. Is there a method to use the memory card as internal storage space or as ram. As mentioned I used the swapper2 programme with no success. Any other hacks, I have tried over clocking but don't want to use this. I want to address the issues of low memory.
I have some games that take up about 20mb of ram: galigochaser 18.7mb hungry shark 11mb speed forge 7.3mb
Just an example of application that I would like to move but the feature is not built in the application.
I asked my parents for a new phone, specifically a HTC Desire because I'm a gamer so obviously I wanted a phone with an awesome processor. But at the time of my birthday I got a HTC Wildfire (apparently the Desire was sold out at every store my dad went to). Now there's nothing wrong with the Wildfire. The battery life is great and it doesn't take to much space in my pocket but I felt a little bit disappointed when I checked out the market. The games I found were at the same level as the games I had on my old phone, a Sony Ericsson K550i. Also, when I checked Youtube and various other websites for game tips I couldn't find them. For example Buka, Robo Defense, ToonWarz, Speed Forge 3D etc etc. Is this because they are not available for the Wildfire because of the 589 mhz processor? If that is the case, will the maybe be available when the 2.2 update arrives (with the processor speed up)? Or do I need to download them from a specific site because all the games I find on the market are free.
Been thinking of getting a wildfire, it looks like a good phone for the price range I'm in. However today I've read something about the HTC desire that it suffers with a lack of internal memory and this limits the amount of apps available you can store on it (because you cannot store onto SD card) Does the wildfire have the same problem as this, and if it does will it be rectified with the release of froyo?, or is there anyway around it? It seems a shame to have all these apps available on the Android Market but only a limited space to store them on.
hey so im a newbie and just got the G1 and wanted to download the app Chomp Sms, but since i couldnt find it in the Market, i went straight to the website and downloaded it with my G1. after downloading the app i installed it right away, it completed the installation successfully and everything, but the app isnt showing up. what now? did i do anything wrong?is it possible to download apps with a computer first, THEN install them onto the G1, or do i always have to download apps directly from the G1?
I have a problem with showing icons for menu items. The items which appear when I click on menu button are having icons but When I click on "More" option in Menu, The newly shown menu items are not having any icons even though I have set the icons for these items in my xml.
I know there are multiple widgets for showing battery percentage, but is there a way of showing it in the menu bar. Just like as an overlay of the battery icon? I don't see the need for a widget AND a menu item, plus it would be helpful to see it as a percentage at all times, without the need to exit to the homescreen during calls or using apps.
Restoring from Titanium, I apparently hit the back button instead of "done", and now Titanium is showing in the status bar menu as being at 29%, however I can't actually access it. Instead, if I select it, I get the standard Titanium window. Basically it's like the update is waiting for my input, but because I hit "back", I can't select anything. What the heck, Titanium? This has happened three times now.
I am trying to display menu options while showing an AlertDialog i.e. when MENU key is pressed, it should show whatever options that have been created. I read the following in the Dev Guide at....................
I just rooted my android (LG p500) and was removing bloatware using titanium backup. I accidentally deleted something which caused the homescreen to go black with no widgets showing, I cant even see the menu. I can still see and work with the top bar. When the phone is locked I can see the wallpaper I had but as soon as I unlock it goes black again.
My application is working on images. I want to a add my menu in Gallery application and other image handeling applications. There are many posts regarding this but still I could not succesfully achive that.
I could not find any sample code for full application.
It will be great if any one can pls share a working sample code for full class and full manifest file.
Today several of my applications are showing twice in the drawer. Barcode Scanner, ASTRO File Manager, Barcode Scanner, Dildroid, Imeem Mobile all show up x2 in my drawer. Does anybody know why or how to fix this?
I'm using SenseHero and in the past I've restored nandroid backups a few times. I've also wiped the phone before restoring a backup. But after I've used Titanium to re-install apps, the manage applications shows apps that have been uninstalled. When I select them in manage applications, I get a FC.I've investigated a bit, and it seems manage applications thinks the apps are still installed for some reason. If I find the app in Market, then Install and uninstall it, it no longer shows in Manage Applications. Is there a way to force a refresh of Manage Applications? I don't want to have to install/uninstall all the rogue aps.The main reaons for wanting to sort this, is so that when I backup/restore from Titianium, I don't have this issue and I can create a Nandroid backup that is correctly up to date.
Is it possible to appear in link for say launching one application in some other applications. Typical example would we on desktop when we right click and get option Open With and see all choices of applications to open with.
When I hit the "phone" button on my HTC wildfire it brings up all my contacts on both my SIM card and in the phone memory. Is there anyway that I can see just the SIM card contacts as it shows up all of my contacts twice! When I hit the HTC people button it will just bring up a list of each contact only once, but this takes a few seconds to load.
I was wondering if there are any applications for free or cheap international SMS available for android (wildfire). I found a application with the name Free SMS in market but that doesn't work and get disconnected from Internet every time.
I bought myself the HTC Wildfire about a week back. I have a few questions regarding the wallpaper and the lock screen resolution.
The Wildfire screen resolution is 240x320. What should the ideal resolution be for my lock screen and wallpaper images?
When I set a 240x320 image as wallpaper or lock screen it appears very pixelated. However, when using resolutions of 640x480 and above, the wallpaper looks great but the lock screen is still pixelated. Also, when selecting the lock screen image I can't select the whole thing. Parts always get cropped.
Somehow the HTC backgrounds that are present on the phone don't look as pixelated although they are of a lower resolution.
