I downloaded the gameboid lite version for my tattoo and have been having some problems. Most of the games freeze or have audio issues. Is this because I just have the lite version or because gameboid isn't formatted correctly for the tattoo?
my newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh. The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".
Since I've been using the cm 10 and 10.1 based roms (4.1.x and 4.2.x, respectively) I've noticed the DSP Manager or Awesome beats audio effects randomly stop effecting the sound. It was noted here:
HTML Code: [URL] .....
That pausing and playing the audio player will re-enable the EQ effects. I normally use Google Music on the HTC Rezound running a variant of CM10.1 (4.2.2) but others have stated other devices and are doing this as well.
I just played with it by force closing the DSP manager process while listening to music. This did not in and of itself stop the EQ effects. Once I reopened the DSP manager app and again stop/start or pause played the effect was re enabled. Simply restarting the DSP manager app did not re enable the effect.
I am using Tata Docomo on my HTC Tattoo. Just want to confirm if tata docomo gprs works on tattoo.I Asked Tata people to send the gprs settings, but anyhow i am not receiving it.I tried to add manually, but didn't worked.
That's what I want to know. If yes - awesome, if no - who can we "request" to root that thing?!? If maybe - what are the risks I'm running into? How can I aver those risks? Backup? System Restore? What are my options.
I'm trying to play around with the wifi settings on the Tattoo. Other threads suggest that there are some advanced settings under wifi settings, I can't find these on my Orange UK Tattoo. Is this another of Orange's helpful modifications (still smarting at their gmail app trick).
I just found out something today: my reception is exceptionally poor with the Tattoo. I have poor reception anyway But I found out that if I stand near a wall in my office an tile my head at 55 degrees, then I get 'ok' reception (exaggerating) But this is with other phones. The Tattoo doesn't want to know And I have to move to somewhere where there is a much stronger reception
I am thinking of getting one of these for my girlfriends Xmas but would be getting it on a tariff without a data plan, relying on wi-fi for any data requirements. We were in the orange shop briefly - so i could sneakily test the water as to which phones she likes - She likes the look of the Tattoo and loves the idea of custom cases (her idea of a good phone is very superficial) but hasn't used a smartphone for any longer than 10 minutes. She doesn't like WinMo because it is very straight-laced and business orientated. I played with a hero in the orange shop and found it a pleasure to use but i have been using smartphones for a few years now. I have a couple of questions :
Will the Tattoo be usable/of any use without a data plan? What will work? what doesn't? How easy is Android to use for a complete beginner to smartphones? She currently has a Samsung D600 (which she loves). Is she going to struggle to use basic functions?
I've had my Tatto for a couple of days and wanted to pair it with my bluetooth headset for driving. The headset is quite new, but has no makers ref on it so can't find out what it's setting are, but when its on and the Tattoo is scanning, it is never found... I have also tried making the Tatto discoverable during this process as assume its a two way process....
I found a downloadable app online called "mobile banking UK", but I'm not sure if it would be compatible with the tattoo's resolution and everything? Does anybody know for sure if mobile banking UK actually works with htc tattoo? Or know of any other mobile bank apps for UK users?
I have been emailing the people at copilot asking when they will get it on the market. Finally go to the development team and explained about the screen size on the Tattoo and they need to "sign" the file as compatible. They emailed back saying they have found the settings and will submit a new copy to Google soon
I've read a few posts about the amazing deficiencies of Tattoo's bluetooth connections.I've got a built in car bluetooth kit - I forget the name, but it's one of the more expensive ones that comes built in with company cars.My Tattoo refuses to pair and connect. Before I give up, I wanted to know if I 'root', will this help?I say 'root', I know what it's about, but haven't looked into what is needed to do it and how easy it is and what disadvantages, if any it has....I can't do without the bluetooth usage on my car, if I can't get working, then I'll just have to sell - which I don't want to.
Im a new user of the HTC tattoo and i find to be a great value for money,i got used to the android OS pretty fast and i think it's great, but there's one thing that's really buging me, the tattoo or gps or whatever it is keeps sending me messages where i am, it keeps sending me my location and i get around 10 messages per night not counting the ones i get in the day and it's very annoying, can anyone please help me. I've searched everywhere to disable this option but i can't find anywhere.
I have a HTC Tattoo on Orange and im trying to discover how to get the usual black theme you see on some Tattoo phones on mine, rather than the dull grey one that comes with it. Is there something im missing on the phone to set the theme to black or do i take it Orange have removed that along with the google stuff?
I managed to unlock my HTC Tattoo which was locked to Orange UK (still locked!). Thanks to my friend who adviced to try one of those i-SmartSim 2008 SIM Card Unlock Attachment for Nokia and Most Other Cell Phones I used I-SmartSim and it works with Vodafone now!I am so happy as have all Google applications installed too.
has anyone yet tried a docking station? If so, does it work well? Do you think it wears the battery down? I only found the Paserro Docckingstation for Tattoo so far and I would like to read some reviews first. Also any idea for a docking station clock? I think Bedside looks nice, but I'm not sure if there are more apps like this one.
