I know some people are having some problems installing the Angry Birds game, im one of them im using HTC Magic and haven't been able to install it, first i cant find it in the marketplace but i got it from the getjar website, downloades the APK and run it and it gives me a message that cant be installes on this phone and also tried the appbrain suggestion made in other post and couldn't also.
I downloaded the gameboid lite version for my tattoo and have been having some problems. Most of the games freeze or have audio issues. Is this because I just have the lite version or because gameboid isn't formatted correctly for the tattoo?
Ive read the specification sheet of the HTC Tattoo, and realized this feature:Java MIDP 2.0 - Yes
Then my question is, why cant I install .JAD nor .JAR files? - ASTRO keeps opening the file, as some sort of text editor, and when uninstalling ASTRO, the phone tells me that its an unknown file type.I mean, if the phone supports Java MIDP 2, then it should be able to recognize the Java files... right?!
Just wondering how do i go about installing games for my xperia mini pro is there an article i can read cause when i attach phone to pc i see all folders that are on the phone but which folders do i put.
my newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh. The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".
I accidental dropped my Tattoo yesterday from a height of 12 feet on to a ceramic tiled floor..I expected it to be dead when I picked it up but was pleased to find it was in full working order. Either I was lucky or HTC got something right with this phone!
been trying to download and install a couple of apps last night and this afternoon but they are getting stuck on the "starting download screen"? Is this an issue with my device or an android market issue - ive rebooted my phone, cancelled the downloads then restarted but they always get stuck on the "starting download" screen?
how to install game in my xperia?just bought it and have no idea..i have downloaded a game from the net with the apk files and i bluetooth it to the phone.but i have no idea where the location of the file in phone and how to install it? i've checked the settings>application>unknown sources.
I'm trying to install angry birds on my Galaxy S. I've found several methods and none of them have worked. The android market does not even list the game in search results. I've tried scanning the barcode from the distributor and that doesn't work either.
Can anyone give me any input on how practical it is to play games on a phone with no hard buttons? Examples would be the HTC Eris and the potential Bravo/Passion. I kind of don't want the Droid because of the keyboard, the D-Pad seems necessary to play games with...
I am using Tata Docomo on my HTC Tattoo. Just want to confirm if tata docomo gprs works on tattoo.I Asked Tata people to send the gprs settings, but anyhow i am not receiving it.I tried to add manually, but didn't worked.
That's what I want to know. If yes - awesome, if no - who can we "request" to root that thing?!? If maybe - what are the risks I'm running into? How can I aver those risks? Backup? System Restore? What are my options.
I don't know if this is the place or not, but I installed Angry Birds 1.3.5 on my girlfriends phone a while back because it wasn't in the Market for some reason. Now I want to update it, but she doesn't want to lose her saved game file with all of her stuff on there. The new version is in the market now, but if I get that one, I don't know how to install that and keep the saved game file... anyone know how I can solve this issue?
The vibrant is advertised as 16gb internal memory, however after all of whatever is on the 16gb we're left with about 12.75 give or take of room left. Now i see that 2gb is apparently reserved for apps and the like, while the other is for music, movies, and so on. here is where my questions begin...
What if I have more than 2gb of apps and games to install? Will it not let me or will it partition more room? I think its kind of stupid to have a phone with this much internal memory and only let 2gb of it be for apps and games, that is absolutely stupid. I may consider activating my 14 day buyers remouse should this be the case. (and its not really 2gb, its 1.58gb)
I do plan on getting an 8gb+ class 4 or above microsd card, can i install apps to this WITHOUT rooting? or is rooting needed?I really, REALLY, hope im not screwed over with only 2gb of wiggle room for apps and games. that will definately put a halt on things.
I've just read this on android community.com.."When you say "only 2GB", this is plenty. Most apps are well under 5MB, so you can easily install 500 to 1000 apps on your phone.Android 2.2 is due out for these phones in September, which allows you to move apps onto the 14GB partition if you need/want to."Any truth to being able to move apps to the bigger partition? Becuase this would definately put my mind at ease.I also read that its not your choice if you can, the developer has to enable it in said application. so that it gives you a choice of where to save it, or you can move it at a later date.
I did notice, however, that Asphalt 5 was 8mb but required 103mb of additional data to be downloaded. i was worried it would save it to the whimpy 1.58gb of space but alas, it was smarter than that, and saved it on to the 12gb part. But if the option in all/certain apps is to save it to sd (or in the vibrants case, the 12gb partition sd space, or an external SD card) that would be HUGE.
I own a tablet UTOK 700Q Lite with 1 GB RAM and 1GB Inter, which are free 200 MB RAM and 130 MB internal. Do you know if there is any way to install GTA III - for example - considering that's odd size is over 1.4 GB? I WANT TO SAY THAT - FOR NOW - I DO NOT WANT TO ROOT TABLET!
Even if I add a sd-card, free space for androidodd is the same. Can I expand or map the "odd" folder on the external sd-card? Is there any partition manager to extend the space, but - once again - without doing root on the tablet?
I've downloaded the FULL version of Angry Birds loads of times today via Getjar and recently on the Android Market but keep getting the same messag 'Application not Installed' with the Getjar version and 'Installation of Angry Birds unsuccesful' with the Market version. I've just unmounted the SD card and copied all the files to a new 8GB card and then put that in but still won't install. My handset is unbranded/unlocked. My wifes is exactly the same but that installed 1st time no problem.
So I just bought a HTC Nexus Ones as my new Android phone. I've been preparing for this new phone, such as knowing that it's old, I'm going to flash a custom JellyBean ROM to it, ect. Anyways, I've been reading that you cannot install applications to the SD card of a Nexus One, only to the very small 512mb internal memory. I'm wondering what I need to do to be able to install all the apps and games I download and install to the SD card, so I do not run out of space.
