HTC Incredible :: What Is Icon That Looks Like Satelite Dish?
I have notived a new Icon that seems to pop up every thirty seconds or so, It lis located to the left of the GPS Icon and it looks like the side view of a satelite dish at a forty five degree angle with three flashing green semi circle "signals" coming out of it? What the heck is this.When I go to advanced task killer and kill absolutely everything it still comes up?

HTC Droid Eris :: GPS Satelite Icon
Was hoping someone could help me out. I like how my Eris has default buttons to quickly switch on Wifi and Bluetooth, is there an option to do the same for GPS Satellites? i hate going through the settings menu to turn it on or off. I think i've seen pictures of peoples setups where they have this and airplane mode as quick on/off buttons but i can't seem to find it.

HTC Incredible :: 3G Icon Gone After OTA
I received the OTA for my DInc this morning. The most noticeable difference is that I no longer have a 3G icon. It has been replaced with a new icon that looks like a stack of windows (or pages) and is always constantly lit and never changes. Is this Verizon's response to the grayed out 3G ? To remove it entirely?

HTC Incredible :: Phone Says GPS Icon Not Going Away
So after using google maps to navigate somewhere today, the small icon on top of the phone saying that the gps is active will not go away or turn off. i don't have any crazy apps and i even tried using task killer to stop maps and also the force close on it from settings not sure what to do to make this go away. hopefully it's not messing with the battery life. does anyone else have this issue or know more about it?

I've gotten a few icons on the notification bar lately i'm not familiar with.I don't think they correspond to events but more service notifications.One is next to the 3g. and it looks like a compass or crosshair.Is there a key online to see all of the icons in the notification bar?

HTC Incredible :: Constant Sync Icon
I've been having a problem for the past few weeks with my Incredible being in a constant state of sync. I can tell this by the sync icon spinning around and around in the bar up top. There's a rouge app calling for sync somewhere, how can I find it? I've already tried to obvious method of going into settings > accounts and sync and disabling literally everything in there. Facebook, Weather, Google, everything is turned off. Another app somewhere is using sync. The only way to get it to stop is to hit the cancel sync button on that page and then it goes away for a few hours and then it comes right back. I'm sure this is a huge battery suck. Is there an app that monitors other app usage with sync or something?

HTC Incredible :: How To Remove Message Icon?
I had a weird thing happen today someone was trying to call me i didnt get the phone in time.then i got a notification that contained my GV # saying I had a message. the person who called doesnt have my GV #. now when i go to GV on the computer or the inc it says i have no messages yet the notification wont go away at the top the INC saying that my GV# has a message.I use my VZW # for my VM through GV I never use the GV # at all.not sure how to remove the message icon.

Is there any way to change the default android icon that pops up when you receive a call? I know you can add pictures to the contact and get that to show up. But is there any way to load another "default" icon? On another note, this forum has been great. The incredible is my first smartphone and I've had it for about a week.This forum has been a great resource to get me going.

HTC Incredible : Driod Icon For SD Card?
Do want the icon for your Incredible's SD card to be a Droid icon when you browse your Incredible from your PC? (see image) unzip the two files to the root of your SD card. this worked on my storm (notice my Storm's internal drive still has a 9550 as an icon in the image). so i assume it will work on the incredible.

HTC Incredible :: Battery Icon Doesn't Drain
So I noticed that my battery icon is showing nearly a solid green battery, just slightly below it (a thin sliver of black). I've been on the phone for over an hour, played some games, got some e-mails etc and was wondering why it hasn't moved because before (had the phone since the beginning of May) it always seems to drop pretty accurately based on my usage (granted it's just observation, never studied it or anything). I went to settings - about phone - battery - and saw that I'm actually at 70%...but yet the icon hasn't moved down. Played a game for about 3 minutes and checked again, and the green icon now accurately shows what a 70% battery life should look like. Does anybody else know if their icon doesn't accurately represent their usage? Is this nothing to worry about? haha just concerned it will lag more and more with time or something...

HTC Incredible :: Any Way To Disable Location Setting Icon?
So obviously, I need to enable Location Settings in order to get GPS ability in Google Maps. But I don't see why it needs to have an icon taking up valuable space in the status bar (as a side note, there's an icon to indicate that it's OFF, so you can't NOT have a location setting icon on there). There was no such icon on my Droid. Is there a way to disable this icon that anyone knows of? With Wifi/3G, the battery meter, alarm clock, the time, and the bars, they take up over half of my status bar. The problem is compounded by the fact that I have a battery app that always displays the exact battery percentage on the left side (another side note; why isn't the exact percentage shown on the default battery icon?

HTC Incredible :: Remove Constant GPS / Location Icon?
I was wondering if it was possible to remove the persistent location icon that takes up space on the status bar. It doesn't make sense to me that the location icon ALWAYS has to be there, whether you enable GPS tracking or not, to let you know one way or another. Especially since the Motorola Droid didn't require this. Also, it would be nice if the battery indicator could be changed to a percentage. Right now, I have an app - Battery Indicator - that tells this, but it places an icon in the left side of the status bar, needlessly taking up space as well. It would be killer for me if I could get rid of these 2 superfluous status bar icons and leave room for other stuff. I'm running Third Wave, Hydra Kernel 1, but I'm guessing a separate ROM would be necessary to do what I want. MetaMorph doesn't work for me, for what it's worth.

HTC Incredible : Way To Maintain Icon Order In Folders?
I have seen this happen many times on my Phone. I have folders on my Homescreen with Shortcuts/Apps in them. Inside a given folder, I have a SPECIFIC ORDER to my Shortcuts/Apps. For whatever reason, my phone will decide to mess up that order that I created. Various things seem to trigger my phone to re-arrange the Icons in my folders. For example, unplugging my phone from my computer after disk use triggers it.

HTC Incredible :: Battery Icon - Hour Glass Effect
Does anyone else's battery go as such - full for a bit, then nothing but the nipple gone for half the day, then suddenly what looks like half left out of no where? No matter how much I use my phone. Like I guess I am looking for an "hour-glass" effect here, it should slowly drain until it's empty. I have never seen my battery icon look 3/4 of the way full, it just skips right over that look on my phone.

HTC Incredible :: Email Icon With "new" Count?
I am looking at some of the alternative launchers that are out there, mostly launcherpro but also home++.I am able to live without most of the HTC Sense widgets, with two exceptions. I use Exchange ActiveSync but I also connect to an IMAP account , so I find HTC's email icon that has a combined unread message count to be quite handy. Also, the HTC "messages" icon has a counter for unread SMS messages. Neither of those work under LauncherPro.I believe the email app is an HTC custom app, so I'm thinking it is unlikely that anything from the app market is going to be able to provide the same unified unread count on the icon. I would like to stick with HTC's email app as I like having both my email accounts in one place. I'm guessing it's the same story with the "messages" app, although I'm thinking I could just install a new standalone SMS app to deal with that issue.
