View 5 RepliesI don't know if it's from some app I installed or what. But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.

I have battery booster installed on my phone and i think it is using up more battery than its saving but the best feature i like in this app is it auto turns off the wifi when the phone is locked i like this feature very much as i forget to turn off my wifi many times and it will continue to eat up my battery, is there any other app that does this specific function so i can uninstall battery booster?

It says to increase your functionality of phone. I am bit skeptical to download it looking at the permissions its looking for.
My reception at work is terrible. My colleagues have full reception, and I dont have a signal at all. Seems to be an issue with some of the desire handsets. Have any of you tried any passive antenna boosters, like this one: HTC Desire Antenna Booster ? Or some bigger boosters that I can place on my desk.
I love my phone, but it is essential that I can use it while im in the office.
While I've never dropped a call and I alway have 3G I always have either zero or one bar of signal showing. And my battery hits yellow midday with fairly light usage. Compared to my old house about 2 miles away (just moved last week) I would have full bars and my batter would last 16hrs before hitting yellow. So I think I need a network booster. First, do they actually work? Second, if so what is a good recommendation. Third, do they boost boost data evdo signal too or just voice?
View 28 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone knew of an Audio Booster or Equalizer for Android. I have searched the App Store but haven't found one yet. I use to have a Touch Pro and HTC had an Audio Booster program that let you have an equalizer that you could change while listening to music (only with headphones plugged in) from Hip Hop to Rock and etc...

View 6 Replies View RelatedMedia volume is too low on my HTC Incredible, even if turned all the way up. My ringer volume seems just fine though. After reading several posts for other android phones it seems the suggested route is to restore the phone to its original settings. I would rather not lose everything I've installed on my phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI work in a shop and it tends to be loud so i don't always hear my phone ring, or hear my notifications. Is there an app or a way to make the volume louder besides the side volume buttons etc... Also i don't want to blow the speaker on the phone either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'd like to make the mp3 files I've uploaded on the phone from Itunes LOUDER, *without* having to buy a several hundred dollar computer program.
I've noticed that the songs which were pre-loaded on the phone are louder than the ones I've uploaded from itunes. If it isn't a techno/hiphop song (and I listen to classical mostly) I can hardly hear the tracks when I'm walking around town, even with noise-cancelling headphones. I never had this problem with the iPhone, so this is a little frustrating.
Is there a way to change the percentage that the volume goes up by for media? While I am at work the lowest setting is too soft and the next one up is too loud and I cant hear whats going on around me.I know its most likely my headphones but if there is a way to do this that would help.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe volume button won't turn the volume up but you can turn it down. i took it to verizon and they ordered another one, should be here Wednesday so thats good. anyone else have this problem? they said at the store that this is the first they've seen with the volume button. i think it may be due to the verizon silicone case and the how the volume button is covered, maybe we've been mashing down on it too hard? either way its getting replaced so I'm happy. on another note on that same phone friendstream won't load, it keeps force closing everytime you try to open it. anyone had this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI searched online and tried fooling around with the phone forever, but was wondering why the side volume controls control the media volume and not the ringer volume when on the main screen. Any idea if there is a way to switch this? Like I am at work and just want to lower the volume I have to dig into the settings for ringer volume and wish I can just do it from the main screen by using the side buttons.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSorry if this has been posted before, I'm new to this site, but does anybody else think the volume on the inc is just too low? I keep the volume all the way up, but when I'm in my car or just outside with other surrounding noises, I just cant really hear it. It's useless to even put the ringer volume halfway or less, you could barley hear it at all. Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an Android application that plays back voice mails using Media Player, which are just WAV files that have been sent to the device. When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?

View 27 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased the Virgin Mobile Supreme (Sprint Vital, ZTE N9810). The one thing that is bothering me is that there is only one volume setting for the combined ringtone and notifications. I would like to set these volumes separately.
I tried one volume control tool, but even though it had 'separate' controls changing ringtone changed notification and vice versa.
I want to set my phone to ring only. I don't want any other notifications (text, email, etc.) to make any noise or vibrate. No matter what I do, when I set the Ringer Volume the Notification Volume gets set to the same value.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody know of any app that will allow the headset volume control to work with the HTC inc? I just bought the Klipsch Image S4i headphones with the mic and remote. It was designed for the ipone but I thought it would work for this phone also. The pause and play work, and even answering the phone works. Although all of those are the same button.
I can skip forward, depending on the media player I am using, but the volume controls do not work. Does anybody know of any good apps that fix this problem? Maybe a iphone volume control app or something like it? I did find this app (Headset volume control): But it is $3, I don't know much about it and there isn't even any comments left by anyone.
I've had my phone a few days and have noticed a crackling when making regular calls at anything above around 65% volume. This seems to happen only on louder parts of speech. It's pretty frustrating when I'm in public and need the volume louder.
