Sorry if this has been posted before, I'm new to this site, but does anybody else think the volume on the inc is just too low? I keep the volume all the way up, but when I'm in my car or just outside with other surrounding noises, I just cant really hear it. It's useless to even put the ringer volume halfway or less, you could barley hear it at all. Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem?

I'd like to make the mp3 files I've uploaded on the phone from Itunes LOUDER, *without* having to buy a several hundred dollar computer program.
I've noticed that the songs which were pre-loaded on the phone are louder than the ones I've uploaded from itunes. If it isn't a techno/hiphop song (and I listen to classical mostly) I can hardly hear the tracks when I'm walking around town, even with noise-cancelling headphones. I never had this problem with the iPhone, so this is a little frustrating.
I keep getting complaints that people can't hear me because my voice is too quiet however I can hear phone calls just fine. This started happening when I upgraded to Froyo. I wiped the phone but that didn't seem to help. Is there anything else I can do? Is there a mic volume I'm missing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone's speaker used to be pretty loud. I could leave it in the kitchen and easily hear it ring in the other room. Starting yesterday I noticed it had gotten quieter for some unknown reason. Now I can't hear it in the other room, and it just sounds quieter overall. Any ideas?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI put some MP3s on my Inc and the audio player plays them fine and they're pretty loud coming out of the speaker.
Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
I am coming from a blackberry..and this is my first Android phone..the Incredible..
I made a mp3 as my text message tone...its only 6 or 7 seconds long..but, the problem I am encountering is that when my phone is idle and my text message tone goes off upon receipt of a new text...I am finding myself using the unlock button to awaken the phone..swiping my finger on the screen to unlock the phone, and then going to the message icon to FINALLY disable the text message tone from continuing.
Is there a way for the phone to recognize that I am touching it, using the lock button on top of the phone or the volume keys..or SOMETHING other than having to actually wake, unlock, and enter the message area?
Recently purchased the Virgin Mobile Supreme (Sprint Vital, ZTE N9810). The one thing that is bothering me is that there is only one volume setting for the combined ringtone and notifications. I would like to set these volumes separately.
I tried one volume control tool, but even though it had 'separate' controls changing ringtone changed notification and vice versa.
Just got my Incredible and love it. I charged it up last night for the second time. Turned it on this morning and all looked good. Received a call this morning and I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. Several more incoming calls and the same issue. Then I made some calls...I could hear the person but they could not hear me. Finally turned phone off and back on and it is now fine. Mute was not on.....anyone know what this could be?

There are times where I like having all the sounds muted, but still want to have the phone ringtone on so that way I can hear the phone. I haven't found a way to do this yet, does anyone know how to?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought the HTC Hero recently, and I got this problem ever since. When I speak with someone on the phone, his or her voice is barely hearable. Literally, I have to ask the person on the other side to repeat her or himself 2-3 times before I'm actually able to hear her/him. So, long story short: the volume is abnormally low. What I've tried: volume control apps. They're all set at maximum volume. Hard-reset.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that when I have my headphones plugged in (but not in my ears) and the phone rings, the ring tone comes out of both (the phone and the headphones, which is fine) but it is not as loud out of the phone as when the headphones out not plugged in. If I pull the headphones out while its ringing the phone starts ringing almost twice as loud. Anyone know how I can make sure the phone will ring at full volume for those times when I forget to take my headphones out and put everything in pocket?

I have bought LG GT540 Optimus few days ago. Everything works fine except the volume of ringtone. I have set the volume on 100%, but the sound is still quietly. So I can't capture when somebody is calling.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used the htc ringtone trimmed for one of the song in my music library on my phone and I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this but how are you able to delete these ringtones when you no longer want them? The program its self works fine for making ringtones but I cannot find anyway to delete them. I even looked in Astro. If someone doesnt mind could they please lend some advice on this. I've searched in the forums and I havnt found a solution to it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed that the ringtone volume is really really low and the headset earpiece volume is really low too. Its so low that I am thinking that i may have a faulty unit. The ringtone on max is about half as loud as a iphone and the earpiece volume is about half of any other phone that i have owned.
Has any other owners experienced the same?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a couple of questions about the volume rocker: if i've got an incoming call I hear my ringtone going off, but when I click the volume rocker the ringtone gets shut down. You can imagine that's pretty annoying when the rocker gets inadvertently pressed in your pocket (since it's so sensitive), you'll practically always miss the call. when the phone is locked, the rocker is used for media volume when listening to music. This combined with the sensitivity of the button is pretty annoying as the volume keeps getting adjusted when the phone is in my pocket. Is there a solution to these problems? Can the volume rocker be disabled completely? I must add i'm probably noticing these things more because I've purchased a rather tight glove (Puro) for the phone, and the buttons get pressed rather easily.

View 28 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased my X10 no more than a day ago and find that when talking to someone the ear piece volume is not very loud. I have set the volume setting to max and its still very faint and hard to hear.
I also find the Ring Tone Volume is not very loud, even after setting it to max. I have confirmed the Firmware is the latest version, just as a process of elimination.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or could be that I have a faulty handset?
I noticed that when i turn don't the volume with the rocker button on the side it says ringtone and only lowers the ringer volume. The system and notification volume stays loud. Is there and way to control them all at once?

there should be one step in between 6 is way to low and 7 is way to high.
using JM2 maybe it's fixed on a later firmware?
is there any other way to add a more sensitive adjustment?
The only fix is to hard reset. waiting on a replacement but was curious if anyone else had this issue...

But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.
