I don't know if this is a normal function, but are the videos you take supposed to show up in the photos area also? I don't know if there are supposed to be separated into their own category.

I hate that the incredible default gallery shows videos and photos together in the same app. Is there any app out there that just shows your photos or is there a way to hide videos in the default gallery so I can see my videos with another app?

View 35 Replies View RelatedI noticed that when I take a picture that the photo does not show up in the Gallery until I restart my phone? Also when I select to edit a contacts photo to select a photo to put in it the gallery comes up empty with no photos in it. I close it and open again and they all appear. I have had this issue with the original microSD card and a new 16GB card. Is this a common problem or is this just my phone?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI recorded like 5 videos with my inc, but now only 1 is there. I watched all of them fight after I recorded them, and then tried to email them to someone. Since then the videos wouldn't work. It said the video would not play. Now the videos are gone. Has anyone had any problems like this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I updated to Froyo when the official one was released for the UK my Gallery has been almost useless, it now sorts photos based on where they were taken which I don't want and it doesn't show any new photos/videos I take, possibly because the phone saves them to the external SD card now instead of the internal one. Is there anyway to fix this? I've looked everywhere for some gallery settings but I can't find anything, to change the sorting etc.. Or can anyone recommend a half decent gallery app? I just want something that shows the recent photos I've taken...

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to the category section of Youtube, it'll only show a limited number of videos. THe previous versions used to let you browse an unlimited number of videos as long as you load more. I'm also no longer able to sort by most viewed for the week/day, most discussed, etc...
The app does look nice though but in order for me to access those old features, I go to the mobile website version, which isn't that great.
Is there a free app in the Android Market that will organize my photos? Seems like every time I take a photo or save it from a message, It goes into the gallery at the end of a Long line of pictures that I previously stored and I have to scroll all the way to the end to view it. Am I doing something wrong?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've made folders and added pics to the sd card while i had it in my computer but the stock photo app won't recognize the folders but it does see the pics and puts them in both the stock folders (All Photos, Camera Shots).
Why can't the stock photo app (photos) recognize the folders I put on my sd card? I'm fairly tech. savvy but can't figure this photo app file structure for the life of me! Is there a photo/camera app that asks where and what folder I want camera pics to be saved too?
Anyone know of any good apps that create a 3D photo gallery similar to that of the nexus one?

Of all the review videos I've seen it appears it does not but it might just be they chose not to show that off. I really liked that ability to show 3d stacks of photos sorted by date. View 3 Replies View RelatedI noticed that I suddenly lost thumbnails of images that showed the previous day in the stock photo apps and also the Gallery app. They show up and open using Astro, but appear to no longer be seen by the indexes of photo and Gallery (but open fine using those apps via Astro). I tried B&B as well and same thing. They all must use the same index source.
I like the stock photo app the best, since it shows pics and movies for both internal and external memory. Never had this problem before. I tried SDrescan, but it just says "scanning" and even after two hours, never stops scanning. I have tried clearing cache, etc., but still they do not show, even when I created a new directory to put them in.
After Froyo update, the photo gallery icon "Photos" has disappeared. Is the only way to view my photos by opening the camera now?!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to get the input/opinions of some other people on this topic. I have a couple of big events coming up that I will be recording with my (soon to have) Evo. Now I know that Qik is gonna be huge when it comes to 2 way video calls, but my question/dilemma is to either use the native Camcorder/Video Camera app and upload them to Youtube, or to use the Qik app and have it stored on the Qik site. From what I've heard and seen, when a video is recorded/streamed to Qik, the quality that results on the Qik site is NOT nearly as good as what you're actually seeing and recording on your screen (compression, whatever, bla bla bla). However, I have seen videos on Youtube from people with EVO's where the quality is a ton better and it looks really good. So, why would anyone want to use the Qik app to take video recordings, when the end result on their website is of less quality as supposed to using the Camcorder/Video Camera app and posting it to Youtube? Is the only benefit for Qik is that people can watch your video being streamed pretty much right then and there (with only a little delay)?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI can not figure out how to transfer my videos from my SF to my PC via USB. I successfully transferred one video via dropbox, but it seems to be having trouble with the current one I keep trying to move, maybe due to it's larger size, and it seems like it should be obvious to just plug in the USB and transfer it. The trouble I am having is that once my pc finds my SF and I "mount" it, and I have tried this via mass storage and via the media sync options, my pc will only let me view and transfer the files from the sd card, but apparently the videos I record with my phone are not stored on the sd card.
I need to know how to a) make the videos/pictures store on my sd card rather than the internal memory and b) transfer the videos/pics from my phone to my pc via USB. Usually I can figure this stuff out, but after searching all day, and reading tips, and going through the manual, and installing samsung's usb drivers, I have had it and need a nudge in the right direction.
A few weeks ago any video taken via Hangouts would get automatically be backed up (like photos). I could view them online in my google+ autobackup area.
There recently was a change though so now those videos don't seem to be backed up automatically. (Photos still get backed up fine.) And I can't figure out how to save such videos while within Hangouts.
I have a HUAWEI g300, and while the quality of still images taken with the camera are great, video quality is awful. Or, to be more specific, the audio that goes with the video is very poor.
I believe that this may be due to the file format of the video.
For this reason, I would be interested to know whether there are any ways to change the file format which videos are recorded in. Are there any alternative camera apps that are any good, which ideally allow the user to select their own file format? My device is rooted btw.
I recently took my Epic to a concert and recorded some videos. The picture quality of the videos was OK but the audio was amazingly distorted. There was a lot of bass at the concert which greatly I assume distorted the entire videos sound. I am greatly disappointed as I cannot listen to the songs cuz the sound so bad! Is that normal?

I mean I can record video at 720p 25 fps, but the DAMN audio gets recorded at 12 kbps!!
It's just tinny and annoying sound cuts up all the time.
So it is it possible to increase the bitrate of audio via modifying some system file or changing some parameters in phones hidden settings or something like that?? my phone is a Chinese Zopo PILOT ZP100. .
btw, When I use Sound / voice recorder, it records in 3gppp at high setting with 127 kbps AAC audio.
I just manually updated to 2.2 (successfully) but I started to panic when I couldn't find the camera shots category in the new gallery app. I mounted the phone to my computer and found the photos on my phones internal memory, so they're all safe, but I still cant view them on my phone. Also, whenever I take a picture and try to go back to review it later, I get a "no photos found" error, and the new photo doesn't show up in the directory of the previously "lost" photos from prior to the update. It's safe to say that I'm utterly bamboozled. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know how to fix it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use to be able to search for categories of things in my area by opening google maps and then clickin 'menu' and then 'search' and immediately a list of categories would pop up and i could click on 'restuarants' for instance and then select by sub category such as 'chinese'. Now, the search button only opens a search box. I've seen the places icon but that's no more than a macro to search for broad words like "bars" or "restuarants" in google maps. It's not a full categorization.

(open from an email or use in window's movie maker)I have a new computer with Windows seven at work and a Vista laptop at home. I can send the video to myself and try to open in from my email or tether to the computer and transfer the file manually. Either way I can't open with windows media player. Video's taken with default "Camcorder" app on a myTough 3G running Android 1.6.I know it has something to do with the codec's the phone uses but wonder why they wouldn't use codec's that are compatible with the most commonly used pc's?Is there any way around this? Some kind of converter for the computer or for the phone?Is there another camcorder app that can record video with a different codec or is it phone hardware specific?So far have been able to use these forum's to sort out most of my Android problems but I'm stumped on this one.
