FedeX just delivered the Inc (ordered on-line Sunday night) an hour ago and I plugged it in to charge. Can't wait to use it - how long does the initial charge take?View 2 Replies View Related
I know a lot of people have been experiencing 4-5 hour time periods for charging the phone. If you want to cut that down to 2 hours or possibly less, just follow my fix steps!
1. Plug phone in
2. Turn Phone Off
3. Wait 5 seconds
4. Turn Phone On
Voila! But i still do the turning the phone off to get the full charge thing. Hope this helps you all!
My replacement Inc will be here on Tuesday. What is the recommended amount of time to charge the battery the first time? When I was talking to Tech Support when my first Inc was having problems he told me it was best to charge a full 24 hours the first time. I don't know if I can wait 24 hours after receiving my Inc before checking it out!View 9 Replies View Related
I've just received my new HTC Hero through the post. As i've read numerous messages regarding the poor battery life. How long should I initially charge the phone to get optimum battery life?... and should I leave it off or turn it on whilst charging?View 2 Replies View Related

First the camera button is unresponsive, and now after owning this phone for about a month, I'm at my wits end! Has anyone experienced this? Last night after leaving the movie theater I pulled my EVO out of my pocket and pressed the power button - the bottom row button lights come on, but the screen does not (battery is nearly full by the way). Pressing the power button makes the bottom buttons turn on and off, but the screen is off. I perform a battery pull, everything seems fine, I can get into the phone after it boots, but once I press the power button to turn the screen off, the screen never turns on again - but the bottom buttons light up like last time. Repeat, repeat, repeat. I have to perform a battery pull every time I turn the screen off. I've now changed the display timeout to 'never' - and if I keep the screen on permanently from the initial bootup, the phone works fine. Absolutely insane. If Sprint can't exchange the phone (due to lack of stock) I'm considering going back to a blackberry. This is my third EVO, and although I love it when it works, I need something a little more reliable.View 3 Replies View Related
i feel like my battery is not REALLY charging all the way, which may be for my lack of life in the phone as well. it only takes about 2.5 hours to FULLY charge from about 3-4% all the way to %100 with a green light. i have the phone ON while charging too so i just expect it to take alot longer... what is the average FULL charge time here?View 5 Replies View Related
Is there an app (or any simple way of creating one) that can turn bluetooth on when phone on charge and turn it off when taken off charge.View 3 Replies View Related
Mine is already on 59 percent for the last 20 minutes, I feel charging is extremely slow on this. Or is it a defect?View 7 Replies View Related
I have been trying to charge this thing for about 4-5 hours now and it still won't get a full charge. I'm using a wall charge because I know that is more powerful than charging through my computer, but even with the phone off it is not getting a full charge. In comparison my Evo, Hero, Palm Pre and iPhone charge full within 2-3 hours, closer to 2 with the phone off. I'm just wondering if this is an isolated issue or more widespread.View 7 Replies View Related
I just bought an HTC Desire a few hours ago after having been tempted to get it having seen a colleague's Legend. Anyway, the manual that comes with it doesn't really cover that much, and the only information about that battery I can find is on the beginning where it says that it takes about 3 hours to fully charge it. However, it doesn't mention how long you should charge it on your very first usage: until the LED-light turns green, or more (like when I had to charge my old Nokia for 8 hours the first time)? If anyone would lend a helping hand, I'd really appreciate it.View 2 Replies View Related
Followup question--suppose you pop the battery in and attempt to turn it on right out of the box, could that break the phone forever?View 3 Replies View Related

I picked up a Droid X today from a local NJ authorized VZW dealer, not a VZW company store. It's my first "smart" phone and I hope it will be worth the extra $30 a month that I will be paying. So far I love it!Anyway, the guy told me to charge the phone all night long.I played with the phone this afternoon and the battery completely died at about 7pm. I plugged it in and checked it at 10pm and it was at 100%. Should I keep it plugged in all night long? The paperwork doesn't say to keep it charging after it's reached 100%.View 4 Replies View Related
i just got my Droid today so I decided to join this forum to keep up on the news on it. I was just wondering how long I'm supposed to charge it the first time before using it.View 6 Replies View Related
I posted a thread about my battery life earlier this week, and I thank all the for the help! Here is another issue I am having that may be related. My phone takes forever to charge. Example: used my phone heavily this morning from 5:30 am till around 9am. Came home, battery was down to 15% or so. Plugged it into the AC charger around 10am, went outside and mowed the yard, etc. Finally checked the phone around 4pm, and it was still charging. Battery was showing 90% or so. Shouldn't it fully charge in around 2 hours or less? I did some research and found some people having charging issues after they upgraded to 2.1, which I did right after I got the phone. I did check with my local RS where I got the phone, and the guy I spoke with has a Hero, and his does not do this. He suggested I go to a Sprint store and have them look at it.View 8 Replies View Related
I know there are several posts about battery life this technically isn't one. I'm just curious how long a full battery charge takes?
My phone is currently "off" and plugged in. if i click the end button the little battery chart shows that it is charging because the meters are still climbing up. does it ever tell you that your battery is full?
Have any of you found that it takes a really long time to charge the phone to 100% battery? Maybe i'm coming from a sidekick and it was short to charge fully but is this true for you guys too or am i just not used to needing this long to charge a phone up?View 2 Replies View Related
My question is how long should I keep my new x10 mini charging for the first time? Is it OK to disconnect it when fully charge or should I leave it for some hours in charging?View 2 Replies View Related
My Droid Eris will charge from about 20% to 100% in a matter of 1-3 hours- it's always quite fast! Last night, my phone was at 20% when I went to sleep at about 12am and when I woke up at 6am it was only at 40%. The phone felt very hot. I took it off the charger and put it in another plug. It is now 4pm and the phone is only at 80% and at times feels hot. I checked out the cord and there are no lesions or breaks or any visible problems w/ the cord. I'm not sure what's going on- any thoughts? I'm going to take it to the VZW store to obtain an understanding. It's only been 3-4 months that I obtained the phone.View 2 Replies View Related
I recently got tablet called Acme TB02 with ics 4.0.3 and I have some problems with it:
1: random reboots
2:long battery charge time(about 12 h) and very fast drain(30% in h)
3:touchscreen problem- I touch one place and some times it reacts in different place of screen.
It wasn't long so I never paid attention before, but since the upgrade to 2.1 it takes my Moment around 2mins and 50secs to turn on (from black samsung logo to home screen) and about 50 secs before gps and everything is loaded up and ready to use. I timed it to find out if this was normal.
How long does it take your Moment to power on and load up?
I switched to an HTC One last week from my iPhone and I'm starting to regret it.
I was using my phone all day yesterday and it was fine. THen before bed I picked it up and noticed that the home and back button were flashing and then it stopped. I clicked the lock button but the screen didn't respond. I plugged it into the wall and my laptop and nothing happened, the red light doesn't even come on.
I've tried holding the power button down and the volume button down for over 30 seconds and nothing happens. I really need my phone for work and school and nothing is working for me.
I just got a new htc one and have had it for a couple months, its been running fine but the other night i was doing some major multi tasking and the phone froze up and became wont work so i held the power button down to reset the phone, it rebooted and came up with a report error to htc message. i hit dont send and then the phone turned off again and wouldnt turn back on. And now it wont even charge like if i plug in the usb it doesnt even show the led light come on. I tried to hard reset the phone with the volume key and power button but it wont work. The only thing it will do is when i hold the power button down the back and home soft keys just blink but nothing else happens.View 6 Replies View Related
I've seen quite a few threads like this, with phones not turning on - but mine's a bit different.
It was at maybe 20-30% charge level when it just shut down, and it had one this maybe 4 times earlier in the night so I didn't think much of it, I went to trn it back on... and it just didn't. And I tried plugging it in, and the little white light blinks rapidly, and then turns off as well.
I tried plugging it in with 2 different Droid 2 chargers, rebooting it in recovery mode (the screen won't turn on at all), and I took the battery out all night to see if I could fix it that way.. no luck.
It's literally a brand new phone, I got it 2 days ago, never dropped it or anything. Am I going to have to get a replacement? I would really rather not, because the closest replacement center is over an hour away, and I need a phone before I can get over there if possible.
yesterday i was walking to my gym, and a few minutes in it started downpouring. after i got back my phone's background light was flickering like a flourescent light in an old abandoned building. i tried restarting it a few times and eventually like 10 minutes after my last restart finished the light's complexion faded and made everything on my phone look pail. i dont know if this was because of the restart or not. anyway, i turned my phone off last night right before i went to bed, and when i woke up it won't turn on, and if i plug it into the charger, the orange LED light doesn't come up. it blinks occasionally when plugged in, but very slowly, alot slower than it's normal blinking.View 2 Replies View Related
Last night (03/06/2013) my HTC Desire X was connected to my laptop (Lenovo Ideapad Z570) and was connected to HTC Sync Manager, and I was trying to sync my contacts, because I didn't want to loose them. I had previously backed up my photos and music, and just before I went to the Contacts tab, the phone screen and touch buttons went off, but the little red LED at the top stayed on, and didn't flash, and I think the phone turned off, but it showed no screen with HTC on it, it just went straight off. It wasn't the battery loosing charge because it was plugged in, was charging at the time and was over 50% charged before I plugged it in. When I plug it into either AC power or USB charger, the little red LED comes on, but nothing else happens.
So I tried to take out the battery for around 5 mins and then put it back in and leave it for about 5 mins, but still nothing. I then tried to hold down the Power button for around 30 secs and it didn't work. Then I tried to hold down Vol- and Power for around 6-10 secs, and still nothing. I then tried to leave it on charge over night and see what that would do, but it did nothing. When I leave it on charge over night it charges fully, and the red LED turns green, but when I plugged it in, it just went red and stayed red. The phone was new when I got it. I haven't rooted it at all, haven't loaded any ROMs onto it or anything. I haven't tried rooting it or anything, and haven't tried any ADB stuff.I haven't downloaded anything from a website I can't trust.
I was going to root my device, and that's why I was backing up, but I had already backed up my music and photos from before, but I wanted to make sure so I did it again. I don't know if it's bricked or not, but I've a feeling it is, and I don't know what it is that I did to brick it. I really need the contacts off it though, and I have ADB set up from before when I was just about to root it after I backed everything up. I now have the SIM and SD out of the phone in case it damages them, and I have the phone connected to the laptop with the battery out. I heard that you can take data from a phone using ADB, so when I set up everything, everything was ready and the red light was on on the phone, but the ADB couldn't find any devices. I am running ADB from cmd, and run cmd in administrator mode. I want to try to take all the data from my phone, and then hard reset it using ADB, because the hardware buttons won't come on on the phone.
I just restored my factory image with Android 4.4.2 and then flashed Cataclysm ROM and just a few moments ago I was setting everything up and then started messing with AdAway. I was having trouble with applying the host file but got it working by turning on ADB in developer options. When I rebooted for about the 2nd time the battery started to not go above 0% (it recently shut off right as it was applying a host file)... I got it back on and it wouldn't go above 0%. I took off the charger for a second and it shut off right away after it was on the charger for about 5-10 minutes. Now the red light is blinking while its off and charging but I can't get it to turn on, even when taking out the charger and making the red light go off. I haven't tried rebooting into bootloader yet, and right now it's just sitting on the charger with the red light blinking.
UPDATE: I got it ON, but it won't charge past 0% and right when I take it off the charger it is going to shut off. Should I delete the battery stats file? If so, where is it?
I'm trying to create an app that allows the user to read a long text and horizontally swipe to change pages pretty much like the Kindle app. I understand that I can implement the horizontal swipe function using the viewpager and pageradapater classes, however I'm not sure how to split the long text over the different pages. At the moment I think I need to take the text and split it programatically before passing it on the the pageradapter. Would this be the best way or is there some easier way using the pageradapater class itself.View 2 Replies View Related

My Note 2 stopped connecting to charger and PC last week. It eventually died. I have since tried another charged battery from my sisters phone and it still will not turn on. The initial start-up "Galaxy" logo appears, but doesn't go further than that. All functions seemed fine until battery initially drained after day two without charging. The data storage was at it's limit at the time too.View 3 Replies View Related

I am expecting delivery of an Tattoo Ink today. It's been a bit delayed and there's no credit left on my old phone, so I have a backlog of calls I need to make. How long does it take before plugging a new phone into the charger for the 1st and it being safe to turn it on to use it for the 1st time? (without doing the battery any damage)I have searched through the online manuals but they are disappointingly vague about this.View 8 Replies View Related
We'll this is a deal breaker for me, after being pretty happy with the RUU update and the speed improvement it brought to the stock music player. When using the turn by turn navigation, every time the voice comes in the player puts itself on pause. After the instruction is over it remains paused instead of resuming. Then I have to manually hit play again to resume playback. This is a big deal while driving since I don't want to be fidgeting with my phone every couple seconds. This was not an issue with 2.1 , since as soon as the turn by turn instruction was gone the music would automatically resume.View 11 Replies View Related
in Virtuous Rom 3.1 the Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation voice doesn't work...instead of speaking the directions, the voice rambles on about XML versions and a random website in a slow-motion voice. I'm shocked that I can't find any information at all about this on XDA or here.Does this happen to anyone else who uses Virtuous Rom 3.1? I tried to contact RMK via XDA PM but he hasn't responded yet, sent last night. I would really like a fix for this, Google maps navigation is fantastic.View 2 Replies View Related
