I just got my droid incredible. Seems like a decent phone but for some reason my facebook pics won't sync with the comparable contacts. On my old blackberry this was automatic but for some reason it won't work on this phone. Also do you guys leave your fb signed in all the time? I don't mind leaving it like this but I'm wndering if it will always how me as being on fb if i'm always signed in from my phone.

View 9 Replies View Relatedjust a minor inconvenience: I used to have my phone set to sync with google, which alerted me every time I received an email. I then found out that google sync was causing an issue with my contact pictures, taking them from facebook and resizing them. it caused them to looked pixelated or "zoomed in" in hilli billy terms. So now I have it set to never sync with google. So now I never receive a notification when I receive an email. Anyone know a way I can set it to sync only to gmail and not sync the contacts? I don't really need to sync them anyway, as I have backup assistant for that purpose.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately, when you link the Facebook contacts to your device it will save their picture that you had when you first linked the contacts to your Gmail.You would have to delete them and re-add them if you want to change the pictures.

If your facebook contact has changed their picture and you want to update it on your phone, go to People > Online Directory > Facebook > Click refresh. It updates everyones pictures so it may take a while if you have a lot of contacts.
View 35 Replies View RelatedFor the sake of simplicity, the pages on facebook that you "Like", I will refer to them as 'fan pages' (old name). I am admin of a fan page (which doesn't matter since everyone can post photos/videos). How can I upload photos from my phone to this page? The phone's 'Touch' page and 'Mobile' page will only allow me to upload to my profile, but that's not what I want. When I go to the fan page using the 'Touch' or 'Mobile' page, it never gives me option to upload photos, only to view them. I tried using the normal 'Full' facebook page on my phone but it just says "Upload Disabled" because I'm not on a PC. Can someone explain how I can upload a photo to a fan page? This was one of the bigger reasons I got this phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI go into my GMail account and add pictures, using the tool on the site. I check my phone, and some show up. Others don't. I wait a while... still no go. I go into the settings and force a sync. Still no love.
So, some pictures show up on the phone, and others do not. Should I wait a few hours or something? Is there some pictures that will work in GMail, but the phone rejects? I'm not all broken up over this, but it sure is inconvenient.
I am using the People widget to display the Favorites group on one of my panels.
I figured out how to get the picture from the phone to be the one used for the contacts, but three of them keep reverting to the facebook pictures and I can't figure out why.

Apologies if this has been covered in some other thread - but I couldn't find one.Just got my HTC Droid Incredible. I have my Apple Address Book set to sync with Google. I have my Droid also syncing with Google.
Issue 1) Pictures I set on my Apple contacts did not sync to Google and therefore not to my Droid either.
Issue 2) I manually loaded pictures onto my Droid then edited the contacts to use those pictures. After a bit of time (maybe one hour), the contact pictures reverted back to what Facebook has for those contacts. Is there some way to turn that syncing with Facebook off?
Issue 3) even if I wanted to use the Facebook pictures, they appear very fuzzy and cropped badly on the Droid. To the point where they are not recognizable.
Coming from an iPhone I guess I was spoiled because the facebook app for Android sucks! Friend Stream is a little better but you can't upload pictures and don't' get notifications. Just wondering if there is anything better out there?

Is there a way to have your images on your SD card backed up to Picasa as an automated process? I think I lost some recently after I did a factory reset the image numbers started over I think and it has overwritten about 50 images.

I logged out of Facebook through the Android App then logged in and all is well. I dont know why it had to come to that, it should do it automatically.I have even done battery pulls which should theoretically log me out, oh well, it works now.I have done some searching around and there was a problem with Facebook a couple weeks back, but I dont think this has anything to do with that. I added a new friend on Facebook on the 25th of July, I also added them manually into my People on my Inc. For whatever reason when I go to the Link part of the contact and go to the Facebook Link, it says to pick from my friends. He does not show up in my friends if I am browsing through the link area. I can go to facebook from the phone and from the computer and he is there. It is making me insane.Also the profile pics are not updating, and havent for many months. My wife's picture has not changed on my phone's end in 4 months, but on the actual Facebook site it has.

Wanted to update all the pics for my contacts, so i did what I always do.. removed Facebook for HTC and wanted to sync it back.. only this time, it wont update any photos, just syncs for a second and thats all. Anyone else have this issue today?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've rooted my Dinc and got skyraider 2.5.2 with full backup through titanium and nandroid.
Here are my questions.
1) Is there a way to transfer the exact status of my previous contact to my new rom? I've linked and synced all my contacts with facebook and stuffs and it looks like all those links have been disconnected. I don't want to link again manually.
2) Why does titanium not backup SMS? I've restored my titanium backup and none of my SMS got restored. Luckly I've used SMS Backup & Restore to backup, so that's not a problem, but I was wondering if I'm misssing something in titanium.
3) When I'm restoring apps with titanium, I have to keep giving permissions to install apps (clicking install button). I have around 80 apps, and I would much prefer if it's automatic without asking for my permission. Is there a way to do that?
