Has anybody tried exchanging the free 2GB micro SD card that came with the Incredible? I didn't originally receive mine but then our Verizon rep had it FedEx'd to me. It says in the package that it originally cost $14.99. Can I take it in to a Verizon store and exchange it for some accessories? I already have 2gb card and will likely be buying a bigger card anyways.

I will be receiving a new Motorola Droid 2 in the next few days. I currently have a Motorola Droid 1.
I have a few questions and I hope that the readers here can assist me.
1. How can I (or can I )transfer all of the apps (including the ones I have previously purchased) I currently have on my D 1 to my new D 2 ?
2. Can I replace the 8 GB Memory card in the D 2 I am receiving with the 16 GB card that is currently in my D
I ordered my Incredible on June 9th, and it is suppose to ship by June 30th. When I bought it I was eligible for an upgrade, so I paid the 2 year extended contract price of $299.99 for the phone and a $100 mail in rebate.
My question is that if I get the INC and decide that I don't like it or don't want to keep it, I know that I have 30 days to return or exchange it, but if I do that and try and exchange it for the Droid X, will I still get the 2 year contract price for the X? And if I just decide to return the phone and stick with my old phone, is my contract still extended for another 2 years?
I'm just wondering for a what if situation so I can handle any issues or problems before they come about.
I'm considering exchanging my Incredible for a new one. The screen is really pink, I thought I could handle it, but it's really bothering me - especially since I use the auto backlight, so it's sometimes dim enough that the pink is very pronounced. The pink screen issue is NOT the point of this thread. I've read the other threads. I've read the other sources cited in those threads, the ones citing particular types of AMOLED displays using a particular layout of subpixels causing more pronounced reds. I understand it all, but I've also seen pictures of side by side Incredibles - one very pink, one very white. Pictures don't lie. I don't know what to believe, but if I go test an Incredible, and it's whiter, I want it. Sorry to waste so much space on this post with this, I just know how it goes on forums, and don't want to get into an argument over the pink screen issue.
That said - Here's my question: What's the best way to move everything over to my new incredible? I doubt I'll have the opportunity to have both in hand at home, meaning I'll need to copy whatever I'm going to copy before bringing it back. I primarily run Linux, but have access to a Windows machine as well. Contacts and e-mail come from Google, so I'm not worried about those. I'm primarily concerned with my Sense layout and installed apps.
I heard anyone who ordered a dinc from 04/24-05/30 gets a free 2gb data card. Are these coming pre-installed or what?

I didn't have a pre order for the Incredible but when I went in to exchange my current 10 day old phone for one the manager went to transfer the contacts over and apparently their machine cannot transfer anything to the internal Incredible memory. I received a free 2gb memory card to make up for it ($24.99 savings woot).
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen nandroid does a back-up, it does not error out or warn if the card runs out of space. It will go through all of the back up steps and even produce an MD5 parity check, but it is checking the file created- NOT the actual targeted files as part of its verification process (only the parity of the final file created). I discovered this (almost) the hard way, but noticed that my card showed zero space. The back-up should have been about 850mb, but was 395mb. I removed some files from my sd card and repeated the process and then did a titanium back up of apps.
Shortly after backing up, I tried to install the King #2 kernel and my Inc got stuck in a boot loop. Had I not caught the Nandroid back-up issue, I would have been in a rough situation. The sad thing is I have a 32gb card, but is loaded with PSX games, other game roms and MP3's. Even without this stuff and a smaller card, several nandroid back-ups can accumulate and take up more space than you expect. added: I am not sure if Titanium also does not verify the targeted files after a back-up. In summary: Check you card for space before backing up stuff!
I want to do a factory reset now that I have 2.2, but I'm traveling without my computer and need to transfer my pics and music from within the phone. There must be an app for that, right?

Of course i got the free 2gb sd card with the phone, its still in the package. And today when i went to the verizon store to buy a car charger and the red and black gradient case they gave me a 4gb micro sd for free! So now i have 2 extra micro sd's that i didn't have last week. Not too bad. So for those who didn't know i guess verizon has a deal going on now where if you buy a car charger and case you get a free 4gb micro sd memory card. I"m not sure how much they retail for but its got to be at least worth $10-15. The case and the charger came to $50 + change. Just a heads up for those that need these accessories.

My wifes EVO isn't quite as fast as mine for some reason and apps crash a lot....she is at work now trying to use pandora and it plays for about 20 seconds and stops working. It has asked her if she wants to force close it twice already today.....Her coworkers have sprint and they are using pandora next to her with no problem so its not coverage. Whats the best way to go about exchanging it?

But this last week, every day when I woke up and checked my phone, it would be off, and throughout the day it would shut off 4-6 times a day. Then I looked up the problem and saw that I had purchased a bugged phone. The thing is, I noticed this OUTSIDE of my 30 day window.
Now I'm about to call AT&T, buy I am scared that I'm going to get my exchange rejected, or they're going to try to give me a new battery when clearly that's not going to help. What can I say in order to persuade them to make the exchange? I was running apps2sd them upgraded to xrtrom 4.2 with cach2cach. So i was wondering how do i remove all the apps saved on my sd card so that i can free up that space.

So I flashed Fresh .5 over MocaDo 1.1 and the force closes stop. The phone feels a lot zipper. I have WiFi tether. Spare parts is great. Now how do I move apps to the sd card to free up more space?

I did the nandroid. I did the titanium. i flashed using rom manager and selected clear cache/data.
ROM loaded perfectly.. and when i went to titanium to restore, nothing was there!
I plugged the phone into the computer, and i can't even view the card.
I can browse the phone's memory, but not the cards.
I'm hoping there's some adb command or something that'll fix this...
