I have noticed after 2.2 update that with the stock alarm you can't use custom ringtones, just the stock sense ones. Anybody else figure out how to fix this without using an alarm from the market?And if not, what alarm from the market are people using that is reliable and uses any of your custom ringtones?

I also made a song a ringtone but it was not available to the text app. Someone mentioned Handscent but I was hoping to use the stock app. The Droids stock app apparently does allow music for ringtones as I just confirmed from my brother in law.

But when I am in Settings for Notification Ringtones, I do not see the mp3 I added but only in Calling Ringtones. Why is this? I want to use the same ringtone for notifications too!.

1. How could I set a mp3 for the alarm tone? I copy a mp3 file to the alarms folder but I can not set it.
2. I want to set a ringtone to a contact when calling, but not for notifications, is this possible?
You can add and manage your own sounds without a 3rd party app. manager.I copied some n otifications from the root to alarms on sdcard, "heaven" is sweet to wake defaults.

The program its self works fine for making ringtones but I cannot find anyway to delete them. I even looked in Astro. If someone doesnt mind could they please lend some advice on this. View 2 Replies View RelatedEverytime I "sync" or "load" more music from my computer to my EVO, the stupid custom ringtones I have for individual contacts reset, and I have to manually go in and change the ringtones for individual numbers. This has happened roughly 8 times so far. I've created the ringtones using RingDroid, and they are "on" the phone and available, they just won't stay on the contact I designate them for after plugging the phone into the computer.

Step 1. Get Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Step 2. Find a file named Lame_enc.dll This is the mp3 encoder needed for audacity to export files as mp3 files.
Step 3. Find something worth making a ringtone out of. Audacity has an excellent ability to record anything you can hear through your speakers. I instead just loaded the program. then open the mp3 file I wanted to use.
In this case I choose a file I recorded while I listened to it for the sole purpose of turning it into a ringtone. takes a sec to import it. Then Play the song to ensure it is what you want. Also note the time marks for when you want the ringtone to start and when you want it to end.
I've just got a Wildfire (Telstra Locked) and I am trying to change the Text Message notification ringtone but I cant see any options apart from the included tones, which are all crap.So any clues.By the way it is easy to add custom ringtones and change them but not the notification tones.

It always says "you're alarm is set for 8 hours and 37 minutes from now", yet it never goes off at that time. Does anyone else have this problem?
