HTC Incredible :: Accessibility Option In Settings Menu
Aug 24, 2010
In the settings menu on my DI there is a menu category called "accessibility". When i hit that button, it brings up a dim option to check or uncheck, but it can't be checked. What is this for, and how is it accessed?
I go to settings from the icon, and there is no option to change my Data Sync options! It has totally disappeared. I'm running AOSP 1.6, but it was just there earlier today. I only did a Nandroid restore recently, but I can't think of anything I did to make it re-appear if it was already missing. Help!
I have a Galaxy S3 that I got a couple months ago, love it but there's just this one problem. The headphones that I was using at the time that I got it were a little damaged so the left side was quieter than the other. I used the accessibility option to shift the sound balance to the left so that it would be balanced. A little bit after the most recent update (4.3?) rolled out I happened to purchase new headphones so I went to switch the sound balance back, but to my surprise there was no longer the "sound balance" option in the accessibility menu. It seems like the settings for the sound balance managed to stay how they were but the actual option to change them disappeared. This makes it extremely hard to listen to music in headphones and when I plug my phone into car speakers it's much louder on the left side of the car.
I know that Poweramp and Rocket Player both have sound balance options, but I often use apps like Songza, Google Play Music, and Soundcloud so buying the full version of Poweramp wouldn't cut it. No equalizers gave me the sound balance options I needed either.
If I absolutely have to I guess I could do a factory reset of my phone, but that's the last thing I want to do as it would be a huge hassle to transfer all the music/pictures/apps back onto the phone.
I'm using Go Launcher Ex Notification, but i can't see the application on accessibility settings! so i can't use notifications badge for all applications (facebook, whatsapp, skype, etc...), they required Accessibility ON but there is no Go LAuncher Ex notification there
I saw an Android tip that said "Use the power button to end a call", but it needed to be turned on in the Accessibility menu. When I got to Settings->Accessibility, it is grayed out and it says "Downloaded accessibility application is required to activate". What app do I need to download to enable this accessibility setting?
I was wondering if there is an option to setup "auto answer" (like if my phone is connected to my car via bluetooth) for incoming calls. My old phone (LG Dare) had an option to auto-answer the call after the second call, not sure if there's an option for this (I tried looking under advanced bluetooth settings).
standard four option menus displays 2 by 2. but i want to know that How to arrange 4 by 1. I just want to custom option menu like that. With the froyo update, there are so many apps running, both in my task killer, but also in the running apps section of the settings menu. Like Skype, and several I don't use and don't want running. Anyway with froyo to stop these from starting up and running all the time?
I now have "Low on Space" and "Not enough storage space for SM (then it's cutoff)". I have done 6 factory resets since getting it and after the last two I have added no apps to it. I have plenty of memory left but the message still pops up and GMAIL sent and Trash is empty, I have 29mb in use out of 7486mb in Gmail in use and i am about to walk into a Verizon store and beat someone senseless with this piece of crap phone. The INC is the only Android+Sense phone doing this right? Now my Bluetooth wont turn on or off. The widget and menu+settings doesn't work.
On my old droid eris there was an option to "delete mail on server" in my email settings. the inc doesn't have this option.. it is quite annoying that every time i get on my actual computer i have to then go in to my email and delete those emails that i have already deleted on my phone. anyone else hate this problem?
the difference between context menu and option menu in android? When I click the menu button on the emulator, is that option menu? or context menu? And how to invoke the other menu (not trigger by the menu button)?
I'm looking for a way to add a new custom menu item to the SMS interface. The idea is add an option like "Insert predefined message", and control the predefined message from other application. Is this possible?
I want to customize option menu items. I can change icon when selecting using a selector but how can i change the text color during selection. If it was TextView i could use again selector for textColor property but for menu items there is only resource for textValue not for textColor. So my question is how can i change the textColor of MenuItems on selection.
I have created an option menu which also has a sub menu. In the sub menu I have a setting for enabling/disabling images in my application based on the application level flag that i change based on the option being clicked. What I am observing is that when i click on the "Menu" and change the settings from enable Images to disable Images. its not reflecting.I have put the debug log and what have been seen is the onOptionCreateMenu method is getting called only one time- first time when i click the "Menu" button. That is the reason the changed sub menu is not getting reflected. My question is that is there a way i can re-create the option menu every time user presses the "Menu Button".
well I am back to using a home replacement, this one does not seem to slow me down like pandahome did. my question is does anyone know how to get the notification option in the menu, it seems that in GDE you have to access it from the top bar wheras in other home apps you can get it via the menu option
