View 1 RepliesWhen I'm on a call and a 2nd call comes in, my phone doesn't ring or anything. Is there anyway to change this so that I know when I have a call waiting without having to look at the screen (which is usually pressed up against my ear)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone will sometimes not ring at all when I receive an incoming call. It will be waiting for me to pickup, but nothing will be coming out of the speakers. Also, sometimes when someone calls it rings and rings on their end and go to my voice mail, but my phone will not even register that they called. Oh, and it randomly revolted once or twice just sitting there. I am probably going to exchange my phone, but I wanted to see if that is the best course of action.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my Droid Incredible for about two months now. I was really one of the lucky ones!! I usually can fix problems by myself, because I am skilled in Android, but this one I have to turn to my friends in the Android community and ask for some assistance. Next, the phone will randomly change my ringtone. Next, the Sense clock/weather widget displays a location that I don't even live in, and sometimes it will show just a number. How I can fix this, without rooting (waiting for official Froyo).
View 1 Replies View RelatedMY Evo stops ringing after a brief half ring on an incoming call. It doesn't always do it. But I notice it more now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to mute the ring tone of an incoming call while I am deciding what to do with the call? This morning some idiot rang me at 0150h. I was fumbling to mute the tone before it woke up the whole house. But I could not find any option. In meetings, it is a nuisance if the ringing blares away while I make my way out of the room to take the call.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have read a couple of threads that touched on this ring issue, but was unable to find any that had a solution or work around.Since the 2.1 update and the OTA update, many times when an incoming call comes, the phone doesn't ring. If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings. If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI own an xperia mini pro and I can replicate the issue always now. When I get an incoming call while the screen is off, if you slide out the keyboard (without opening the screen lock), immediately I get a Force close error for com.android.phone. I have Lookout Mobile security along with SayMyName installed. I have tried removing both, but the problem does not seem to go off. I am using Zeam as my home screen. On FC, SayMyName continues to call out the caller (or number if its not recognized), but the phone application crashes and on closing the FC pop up, the GSM mobile connection reinitiates (I am not in 3G).
Its just like when you switch on the phone after a shutdown. I have even tried changing home screen (ADW same problem), but seems like this issue persists. The problem is I keep my phone in a pouch attached to my belt and when I get a call, many times while bringing out the phone, the sliding of the keyboard happens and I get an FC. Then, there is no way to make out who had called and its very irritating (the call log does not register the call due to the FC).
I'm having a very annoying problem with my Sprint HTC Hero, as follows:
When an incoming call comes in after my phone has been dormant for a while (screen off), I am often unable to answer it, because the phone just hangs for about 5 or 10 seconds. That is to say, the phone rings, and the screen lights up and displays the caller ID, but when I try to drag the slider down on the screen to answer the call, nothing happens -- the screen is basically frozen up. It hangs like this for a few seconds -- just long enough that I'm unable to answer the call in time.
Does anyone else have this problem? Do you guys think this is a software issue or a hardware issue? And, most importantly, does anyone know of a fix for this?
I have htc hero phone. at first time when i answer the incoming call , ı can't to hear people voice... but at second time i can hear...
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs anyone aware of an APP, or any way to change the way i answer an incoming call. First when i am pulling it out of my pocket i accidentally answer it before i am ready to. The other problem is when i see someone is calling and i try to answer it, the call gets hung up on sometimes. I was hoping that somehow maybe an app would appear on the screen where i could enter a code or something like that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI love my Hero! There is however, one setting on my Blackberry that I did like that I haven't been able to duplicate on my Hero. There was a setting on the Blackberry while sleeping, the phone would be the only thing to ring or make nose. Email notifications, etc., would be silent. Is there any quick setting or app to do this on Hero?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Hero running the latest 1.5 software off of HTC site. One thing I have noticed, is that if I have any photos associated with a contact, the photo is heavily pixelated when it is displayed via an incoming/outgoing call.
I am using Gmail Sync to push email, calender and contacts. If I use the Pre or iPhone, then it shows up fine.
Is this a known bug? I have tried re-creating the image on the Hero - but once I select the area, it pixelates it again.

Ok I cut up a few different ROM's (some Eris and some Droid) and got it working on her phone. I made a nandroid backup, if someone else was to use the nandroid on their phone will there phone ring when someone calls her number?
View 11 Replies View Relatedmy Droid X is doing something completely unacceptable. It misses calls. There's no ring, no missed call indicator, just suddenly a voicemail indicator pops up to tell me that someone left a voice message.Sometimes it only happens once, and will receive the next call without a problem.Sometimes it'll do it three or four calls in a row.I've already talked to Verizon about it, and they've gone through the script. Before I call to yell at them until they replace the phone with one that works, I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with the problem.
View 9 Replies View RelatedStill debating on which phone to buy. With the droid x the major concern is soft volume (some phones seem softer than others); rumors of over heating and wifi issues.
Is there a known hack to fix the volume issue; or has Motorola ack the issue and have publically indicated a fix is in the works? Next weekend is no-tax weekend (in Ma) so I might try to pick a phone up then...
I'm pretty sure the wifi issue is a firmware problem (shame on moto for using an encrypted boot loader and having bugs like this one); not sure if overheating is limited to a few phones or is a design issue.
Anyways please add comments (negative and positive) relative to alternatives (samsung s and evo are major contenders). With the samsung the major negative is it pauses now and then and also have soft volume (there is a fix for the gps issue); for evo the major negative is +$10 and poor battery life (this phone is nice and loud) also the display is a bit dimmer than the droid x (an issue for outdoor usage).
The Eris has been a good phone for me except the mentioned issues. The fix the worked for me was to remove the appollo software task manager. It kept closing something I xouldnt see and caused me issue. I went from 5 resets a day to 5 days and no reset. I now use task manager 1.11.9 with 0 issues.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I make a call there is a short, odd ring-tone that occurs just after I press Dial and before the normal ringing sound begins to indicate the call is going through.
It's about 1/2 second long, can be quite loud sometimes, and is kind of high-pitched....sorry, it's hard to describe. The tone modulates up and down quite fast - da-dum-da-dum-dum (if you can imagine).
I tried re-programming the phone, and also updating roaming, and it's still there every time I make a call. I haven't made any changes to call settings to speak of...never had this on my D1.
The whitelist/blacklist "block call" apps I have tried often will permit a partial ring sometimes before it recognizes the number and sends to voicemail.
Are there any such apps which NEVER have a partial ring?
