Samsung Fascinate :: Office Outlook Sync - Not Corporate Email
Sep 27, 2010I am using Office 2007 Outlook to pull email from gmail. I want to add personalized ringtones to contacts but can't when syncing with gmail (weird), apparently I can with Outlook if I can figure out how to sync with it. I have a Samsung Fascinate.

Sep 28, 2010I finally got my work email sync'd on my Android phone (Outlook). However, all my annoying meetings from work are now popping up as "notifications" in my phone's status bar. I can't stand corporate meetings, which are a colossal waster of time, and i don't want to be reminded of all the meetings on my work schedule. I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?

May 18, 2010I am using active sync for Exchange, we are running Exchange 2003 SP2. When I attempt to go to the out of office on the phone it says the following: "Unable to get your Out of Office settings from the Exchange server right now. Please try again later." I've never seen it work & was wondering if anyone has the same issue or knows how to fix it.

Dec 9, 2009My issue is with Google Sync and Office 2003. It works perfectly for 99.9% of what I expect it to do. I add an event on my work PC and -WHAMMO- it appears on my gCal and on my Eris in moments (If I do a force sync, otherwise it takes 1hr). The issue is, when I receive an invite to a meeting. Such that there is an "Accept / Decline / Tentative" option that we who use MS Office are probably familiar with. If I accept that meeting it will appear on my work computer, but will not sync in any way, shape or form w/ gCal, or my phone. I have to enter all these by hand on my work computer and THEN then they will show up. The reason I ask is: a) I'd like to not have to enter the meetings I'm INVITED to manually.....

General :: Microsoft Exchange Email Doesn't Sync On Office WiFi?
Oct 11, 2013Android default email client when connected to office wifi doesn't sync my e-mails while if i configures my exchange account in enhanced email it works absolutely fine and all my emails starts syncing on same office wifi.
I was having an offline chat with my system administrator and he told me that they have blocked something to avoid IP pool full issue ( new users were not able to connect to office wifi as almost everyone was using two IP, one on smartphone and one on laptop).
Question is how enhanced email client is able to sync? Can i make some changes in default android email client to make it sync.? My Edge connection is too slow to download emails and can't switch to 3g as it is a company provided connection.

Aug 1, 2010I have had my Sony Ericsson Experia X10 for 4 months now and are happy with it although I seem to be continuously charging the battery? I haven't really looked at that many Android apps but I can't find a decent office type program similar to Microsoft Office or Open office to use excel, or similar office documents whilst I'm away from my laptop? Also are there any Krazy kiwis living out there using the great Android networks living in the UK, or even better in Bristol? I would love to hear from you soon

I currently use the Google supplied sync app and it is a piece of crap. I does not resolve conflicts. It does not delete entries that I have deleted oin Outlook. It does not transfer appointments that were created by others that I have accepted. I never had a problem with my old Win Mobile phone and Active sync. I cannot connect to our Exchange server for updates so I must sync directly with my local client. I am getting so sick of companies telling me how I should be doing stuff. First Verizon with all the bloatware you cannot remove and now this. I was told I could sync just like my old phone. Using XP with Office 2007

I would like some very simple straight forward answers in lay person language. I work in a company that uses Microsoft exchange and outlook. I currently have a blackberry that syncs everything wireless and seamlessly (ie., contacts, emails, tasks, calendars, notes). I would like to get a new Verizon Indredible but company does not and won't enable active sync (whatever that is). My question is is there a program that I can install directly onto my office PC myself that will "push" or otherwise wirelessly sync all of my outlook information that is currently synced on my Blackberry? Pardon my ignorance.

Feb 5, 2012I am looking for a way to keep my contacts and calendar from GMail in sync with Outlook. What is the best way to do this? I used the Google Calendar Sync in the past, but I didn't like it. As for the contacts, I am wanting to keep EVERYTHING synced with Google, such as contact photo, notes, ect. I do use more than one calendar on Google. I am not sure if that would make a difference or not. Is the best thing to do set up my own Exchange/Activesync server? Or is there an app that will do just this?

Mar 6, 2010I'm using HTC Sync to sync my Outlook contacts to my Hero... The contacts sync as expected but everytime I perform the sync the time on my Hero is set 30mins forward which would correspond with the time in the eastern states of Australia. I've checked the timezones on my PC & Hero and they are set correctly. I've scoured the net for fixes but haven't found a fix for this annoying issue. I did discover that in a previous version of HTC Sync you could set the timezone within HTC Sync during the installation if it detected a mismatch, but I wasn't presented with the option to set it to get it's time from the PC...

Dec 22, 2009I just bought my first Android (Acer Liquid) and there are a few apps which I think I can uninstall ....
a) Messaging - I use handcent SMS now not the default app.
b) Acer Sync - Does this just sync with Outlook? I don't use Outlook or need to sync any windows files.
c) Default Browser - I now use Dolphin so the default browser.
d) Email - I just use Gmail.
e) Gmail - I think accessing Gmail via a browser is now Google's best supported method.
f) Gmail Storage - as above.
g) Nemoplayer - I use TuneWiki.
h) RoadSync - I do not use Outlook. This sounds the same as AcerSync.
i) Sync Feeds - Not sure what this does.
HTC EVO 4G :: Sync Exchange & Outlook With No Duplicates
Jun 6, 2010Is there a way to sync my outlook and exchange data as the same appointments and info on my phone? For example: When I was on winmo, my Exchange appointment and outlook appointment would update each other not create a duplicate. Now that I've synced my PC, I have the same appointment twice on my phone. Green for Exchange and Orange for Outlook. Is there anyway to keep the data the same? In other words, if I have a 5pm meeting on exchange, and I sync with outlook, I want both sources to update the same appointment. Not create another 5pm meeting.

(i'm using plain vanilla Outlook, no Exchange). i happen to run all email via a gmail account for backup, spam filtering, emergencies when I don't have my laptop) so syncing email is not an issue.

Jun 8, 2010I am using HTC Sync to sync my Outlook contacts and my Incredible. I noticed that some of my contacts weren't making it to my contact list on my phone, but they were on my PC. It was very random. Some were there, but some weren't. I was trying to fix it just now and somehow deleted 52 contacts from my PC!I guess when it sync'd this time, it used the contact list on the phone as the primary and since those 52 contacts weren't on the phone...it just deleted them from my Outlook. Very frustrating because I don't know which ones were deleted.

2. I don't use GMail and I plan to use using a POP3 profile to access my webmail account. Will using either "HTC Sync" or "Companionlink" to sync my contacts -- allow me full access to the multiple email addresses I have stored in my PC's Outlook 2007 account -- for each of my contacts? Or do either of those applications only "capture" one email address data field?
3. Is it possible to compose and send an email in Android's POP3 client -- without necessarily Receiving (downloading) all email that happens to be in that POP3 host's Inbox? I can do this in Outlook -- just not sure about Android.
4. When using a Blackberry and IMAP -- you can specify that you only want the email headers downloaded to the mobile device -- not the entire email. Is this function (headers only) available on Android?
5. I'm assuming it is possible to setup multiple email profiles on Android -- and I am assuming that one can setup an IMAP profile AND a POP3 profile. But, is it possible to setup an IMAP profile for one webmail account (non-Gmail) -- download and read an email from that IMAP account -- but then reply to that email by selecting the POP3 profile that uses an alternate webmail account?
