HTC EVO 4G :: Make Photo Full Screen Size For Wallpaper
Jun 8, 2010
I am so sick of the little crop window you stretch to only see a portion of your photo and it's being reviewed at full screen size. I saw someone post that you grab the upper left and bottom right corners to stretch the window, but it did not work for me.
I bought some cool skins on ebay which 3 came for $10 which you can find stupid easy with a search but they come with matching wallpapers but when I put them on they go on as images and of course we don't get the full image you have to zoom/crop it and you dont get the whole image. Photobucket might resize this so I hope it works but this image I want as a full size. Is there a certain folder to put it in to get it to full size?
I am new to the android phone and have a Galaxy. For some reason my live wallpaper has reduced from the full size to a fraction on my screen. Does anyone know how I can take it back to the full size please?
When you go to select your wallpaper and u can select the size big or small ect, well yesterday it was fine, my wallpaper was in full size on my screen but not it seems to be only centered in the center of the screen, did I hit something?
http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll248/R1C4/Raiders-8.jpgraiders.bmplooking to make this my wallpaper on my droid , I took it from google images but it doesnt fit. help resize for me so it will fit my screen ?
Tried to search for this one but the search terms I used didn't seem to find worthwhile results. I'm creating an application to run on a device with a 800x480 resolution (the archos 5) so I've created an AVD in the emulator with that resolution. However, when I run my program in the emulator it simply shows the program with the default android size, centered in the 800x480 window. It is not stretched to cover the whole screen. How can I fix this? I'm using Android 2.1.
Ive been tweaking with the crop tool but all it gives me are zoomed out versions of the photos. ive also tried to change the size of the photos but given up after a couple of unsuccessful tries to make it fit.
i have tic tac toe game and it looks different on every device on my galaxy s3 its covers 3/4 of the screen and on galaxy s1 it covers the whole screen and in tablet it only covers like 1/4 of the screen i read android.developer tutorial but i didnt understood how do i make my app the same In every screen size ( also get the images bigger)
I updated my Evo to 2.2 when it came out, but I just noticed something about flash in the browser: I cannot interact with any of the buttons. For example, when browsing the youtube full site in the browser (not the youtube app) you can hit the button to turn on captions, and hit the other button to switch to HD resolution. For some reason, I cant figure out how to hit those buttons. I tried zooming in all the way, and I hit the resolution button, and the resolutions popped up for about .5 of a second, then went away, its too quick to hit it. I tried double tapping the flash to make it full screen and that doesnt work either. The only thing I can get to work is the slider bar, which seems to work fine.
I'm working on a site that's supposed to scale fluently down to low resolutions, so that it would work just as well on a phone. This works well in Firefox and Chrome when I just make the window small, but when I try it out on an actual Android phone (Nexus One running Android 2.2), it renders it super-huge! (Using JS's window.innerWidth and window.innerHeight properties, it seems the viewport resolution it reports is 800x1271!.Is there a way to render the page at actual-size in the browser window so I can have my full design show up on the phone? User-agent sniffing is allowed, JS is allowed but discouraged.
So I'm loading images from a web service, but the size of the images are sometimes smaller or bigger than other images and the visualization looks silly when I put them in a ListView in android. I'd like to fix the size of my ImageView so that it only shows a portion of the image if it's larger than a preset amount. I've tried everything I can think of setting the setMaxWidth/setMaxHeight, setting the scale type to centerCrop, using ClipableDrawable wrapping my BitmapDrawable, setting using Drawable.setBounds(). I've tried setting in the XML and programmatically, but neither worked. I'm very surprised setting max width/height didn't do anything. Below is the XML I'm using ImageView definition in my layout file
I'm trying to set a photo as my wallpaper and I can't seem to get it how I like it. I want this image http://bgstaal.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/screen.jpg to just be on the main home screen. But when I try to add it as a wallpaper it keeps trying to get me to move those resizing arrows. I dont want it to span over into multiple pages. I just want it to fit perfectly on the main page and not be tiny. Can anyone explain to me how I would go about doing this?
So I'm playing with my new Vibrant, and I came across and oddity. I wanna use a pic of my wife and I from our honeymoon as my wallpaper, and I only have ONE page (as opposed to the 7 pages Vibrant comes as default). But the pic does not fit to the screen. How do I get my wallpaper to fit the size of the screen?
Anyone know a way (or app) to stop the scrolling wallpaper? Even if I put a photo on my phone at the right resolution for the screen, it makes me crop it to fit the phone for home screen scrolling. Sometimes I like that, but sometimes I just want the apps/widgets to pull over without the picture moving.
Why is it when I save a photo as wallpaper it stretches beyond it's normal size? I'm sure it's a setting that I've looked at over and over but sometimes you need another pair of eyes to look at the problem.
What do you use to reduce the size of photo's to upload here? What I do is right click the photo and select "Send To" then " Mail Receipt" then window's asks me if I want to "Reduce the size of the photo so they will send faster" and I click "Make my pictures smaller" then when outlook express opens I right click on the jpg and drag it to a folder on my desktop so when I upload I get the picture there. Is this OK or is there an easier or better way of doing this?
I took a picture using the camera on the HERO. I want to use it as my wallpaper. When i choose the picture to set as my wallpaper, it asks me to crop the picture which is all ok.... But then once the wallpaper is set, it's spread across all 7 pages. Basically, i want the exact same, "full" picture on all 7 screens. Is there a way to set it?
I sync all my photo from PC to Google Photos and sync back to my android devices (Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Acer Iconia A500). I can view the photos in Gallery but when I try to setup wallpaper (Multiple Live Wallpaper, Wallpaper Wizardrii), I'm not able to see those photos/albums. I also not able to find the actual file for those photos.
May I know how to download those photos as actual files??
I'm trying to draw an image in an ImageView, but i want it to be unscaled, with scrollbars as necessary. How can I accomplish this? Right now I just have a drawable set as the android:src of the ImageView in the XML. This autoscales the image to fit the screen width.
