I recently got the Epic 4G and I am trying to get Gameboid to work on my Epic. It's telling me, "You MUST specify the BIOS file in the settings before you can play any games!" So I downloaded gba_bios.bin and saved it onto my SD card. How do I get the Bios mounted so I can actually use the application to play my ROMS?
I downloaded the gameboid for my droid. I also downloaded some roms for it that a friend who has the gameboid suggested. I also downloaded the bios required and out them in the same folder i made for them when i open my gameboid it directs me to that folder , but when i click either the bios or the roms it says, ". The BIOS must be specified in the settings" I didn't see this in any othedr forumn I have the samsung moment from Sprint.
Question concerning the gameboid app. What exactly is the difference between it and gameboid lite? It is just that you can save games in the paid app? I downloaded the rom for FF tactics advance and realized i couldn't save my progress, will this change if i spend the $4 on the paid version? Also are there any other perks to actually buying the application?
I've downloaded psx4droid and wipeout rom. it asks for a BIOS file upon loading of the app. it opens up SD card and when I click on the wipeout folder its empty, yet it isn't when I use my file manager.
So every emulator on my droid works fine but GBCoid. I have all my roms in a 'Rom' file on my fone, this one says to specify bios file, which i did, even made a mock gba_bios.bin file in my rom file. Still no luck. Can anyone help me here before i kill this thing? This is the only emulator i cant get to work.
I'm new to android but just used the guides at this forum to root my LG Optimus V. I was wondering if now that I have root there is a way to install a boot password similar to the one I have on my computer. Before it loads the operating system, the BIOS asks for a password. Is there any similar functionality for android?
Also, is this possible on other devices even if it is not on mine? It's one of my favorite laymen security measures.
Downloaded the app, and realize that you have to make a folder and download gba_bios.bin and put it in that folder with games. However ive downloaded at least 10 different websites gba_bios.bin and when i try to open it, my computer( its a pc, not mac) doesn't know how to so i cant put it into the folder i made.
I've been playing Mario & Luigi: Superstar saga for a few minutes and I got to the part in Bowser's ship where you learn to fight as a team. After I break the barrel and get attacked by a Goomba, the game freezes at the battle transition. I've tried skipping this battle, but so far, every battle makes the game freeze at the battle transition. Playing the PAL version, by the way.
I have a DS and can play these games on it, but I would rather have them on my phone. That being said, knowing that the EVO battery life isnt the greatest, I'm concerned about how hard of a hit the battery would take if i played 1-2 hours a day. Can someone who uses either gameboid or gensoid fill me in on how well/bad the battery use is on these emulators?
Gameboid and Nesoid are very good emulaters and they were developed by the same Creator. I'm trying to decide on which one to get but don't know which one is better. I noticed that both of them are rated 5 stars so its harder for me to decide. I'm wondering if anyone has download them and if they prefer a certain one. Also if anyone has good websites to download the games off of that would be great.
I have managed to root and lag fix but thats about all. I would love to be able to play some oldschool games. Can anyone give me a step by step guide to doing this. I found some threads about it but they are really a bit too advanced. So maybe someone could start kind of basic.
I downloaded Gameboid recently, and I definitely have a GBA_bios.bin in my SD card, but whenever I select it after clicking browse for bios it just says it has failed. Any Idea why?
And while I'm here I can play GBCoid fine (I am using lite) but for some reason I can't understand, the select button doesn't work. I have to use the virtual keypad as the Pulse doesn't have a hard keyboard.
I downloaded the gameboid app and i also got the bameboid bios bin. now it will load up and go to the gameboy screen. then it just stays there. how do i get games for it. i think they are called roms? where do i get them?
I have a HTC Wildfire and I bought Gameboid, (The emu for the GBA). I also downloaded a Pokemon rom and Gameboid is running a little choppy, its nothing serious, but not desirable, since its not smooth. Does anyone know what settings could smooth it out? I disabled audio.
I've been unsucessful in getting gameboid to run on my EVO. I installed gameboid lite. I install the bios.bin file. I go to search the Rom's on Rom Find, but everytime I try to download the rom I get an error message of failed to download message.
So I've downloaded gameboid, I have the bios that ive setup(ive tried getting them from several different locations, same results). I have about 10 roms and not a single one runs, some of them get to a white screen where it looks like it wants to load it but it can't. SNES and NES emus work fine. Anyone else with a captivate have this problem?
I just found out about the Gameboid emulator and out of curiosity, I downloaded Pokemon Emerald. It runs great on my Droid X. Sound works perfectly, game runs at 100% of its normal speed.
I want to use cheats, though. It is my understanding that no one can figure out how to use the cheats feature correctly. Does it simply not work? I grabbed codes off of Gameshark's official website and they still don't have any affect on the game.
So what I decided to do was download VisualBoyAdvance for my PC, load the rom, use the cheats, make a save file and transfer it over to my droid. But I can't find any ROMs on the web to download for VBA that aren't corrupt. Somehow the ROM I have on my droid is fine; I downloaded it via DroidEmuRomGet. But if I try to grab the ROM off of my droid and transfer it over to my PC, I find that when I browse my droid using my PC, it doesn't show any of the files I can see using AndroZip... Even though the file extensions are the same.
