I bought a se x10 mini pro and have got the problem that I seem not to be able to access any apps the cost money. I can access the market, but no pay-versions of the apps are found. Is there some place I need to activate this feature or what?
If i place the Widet that covers up the whole screen called Stocks by Yahoo. Then click it to open it I can add a stock or index. However, right under that text it says *This service may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. It's Yahoo Finance Stocks which comes with the phone. Anyone know if it cost extra money to use? Also if I go into settings/wireless controls/mobile network settings/ data roaming (connect to data services when roaming) and check that does it cost extra money to use 3G when the phone is roaming? Do you guys have "enable always-on mobile" (uses more power on some mobile networks) checked?
Can "tethering" on the EVO realistically replace a home internet connection on a desktop computer? I have 2 computers at home that rely on AT&T DSL for the internet (which is really slow). If I get an EVO, can I easily drop my DSL and instead use the EVO "tethering" feature? Is it complicated to use? That is, I sometimes just want to quickly check a website, and if it's hard to set up every time I want to use the internet on my desktop, it won't be worth it. Does it cost extra to "tether" the EVO to a home desktop computer?
I just posted this thread Charging the Battery - Alternative Methods? Charging with USB Cable to any Computer? While on this topic, where might I find an extra battery for the Sprint HTC Hero? What's the take on lower-cost, third-party, batteries for this phone?
For those concerned: I just got off the phone with a Sprint CSR, Kathy, who assured me that Sprint will NOT charge extra for using 4G on your new EVO 4G. So I think we can breathe easy and assume for now that the same plans will *just work*. Calm Down ? I just got off the phone with 3 separate Best Buy stores about how much the EVO will cost off contract because I wanted to come in and pre order. All of them told me $600!.I guess that $450 was a pipe dream... Did sound too good to be true. Especially when the Incredible is $529 off contract
I'm looking for a financial app that will sync with microsoft money. Something like Ultrasoft Money. I used that on my windows mobile phone and it synced flawlessly and effortlessly. I know there are other financial programs out there that will allow you to keep a checkbook on your phone, but I don't want the checkbook solely on the phone, I want it on the desktop too and microsoft money is already there and works great. Some of these other apps out there will sync with ms money if you download the file in this format to your sd card, hold your tongue to the top of your mouth, move the file to the computer via USB, move your tongue 90 degrees to the north, change the file format and then import it from within money. well, you get the idea. I don't want to have to do all that.
I was just looking at my Verizon Plan, and though I don't have it currently as an option that I'm paying for, it costs $20 a month to use the 3G Hotspot feature? I thought this was just something the phone did through your unlimited data plan. if the 3G Mobile Hotspot app does indeed require this $20 a month charge, and whether there's any other app or way to get the same functionality without paying.
I want to write a game for the Market. So where can I get adds for it to earn some money (a page like admob.com for example)? I am searching for an advertising page, where I do not need to do anything and earn the most money. The ad-page has to dynamically change the content of my ads in my program.
I used to have one for my Helio Ocean, and I would like one if possible for my Hero! I was looking at the EasyMoney app and that looks amazing! I saw you can export to .csv at least, but how can I look back over that on my computer? I'm not too smart with some of that stuff...
