I have a DInc that I plan on shedding before year's end, and I too want to make sure all personal info, pics etc. are off. Do I just learn how to restore to factory setting & remove the sd card?

I have an un-rooted phone.

Android :: GSM Phone With Front Facing Cam?
Jul 1, 2010I am currently using an e71, a phone Nokia released back in 2008. I am looking to upgrade to an Android phone, and here are some of my requirements.I am on AT&T and can not switch. However, all the phones I have used, include my current e71 are unlocked. I can not bear to see my phone locked down by AT&T with all their custom crap. Therefore the phone should work on AT&T 3G bands here in the US and should be available unlocked.It should have a front facing camera. I use Fring on my e71 and video chat with my parents all the time over both 3.5G and wifi, and I LOVE it. This is by the far the only feature holding me back.I would prefer a physical qwerty like the e71 but a virtual one is ok too, but the camera is a must.

Before I go round and round with Verizon, I would like to start my phone without all the add-ons running. Mar 24, 2014i've been having some trouble lately with taking pictures on my front facing camera. I'm using the t-mobile variant of the samsung galaxy s3 (its actually from wind, but theyre the same). The last rom i had installed was cyanogenmod, and it was working fairly well, except every once in a while, when i took a picture or video from the front facing camera, the phone would crash immediately and reboot. I tested this with many different camera applications and they all had the same result. I decided that i would try a different rom to see if that was the issue, so i installed the latest version of Carbon. The problem persisted, and it even got worse. Now every time i take a photo using the front facing camera, the phone will crash and reboot instantly. I read around, and there appears to be some issues with snapchat and such, but i dont think that is my problem as this is occuring with every camera application i have. I have also checked out some other threads related to this issue, and some seem to have the same problem, with no real solution. Apparently a temporary fix seems to be clearing the application data, but even that doesn't work for me. If i could guess, i would say it has something to do with custom roms in general as i have seen no reports of a stock rom phone having this issue, or perhaps a gapps issue, but those are just some thoughts.

Sep 15, 2010I just got a samsung captavaite and i was told that the buddies now widget was also suppose to show your friends whom you added to the widget status/post on facebook if they had facebook. is there something that i need to do/activate for this to happen? also does anyone know what the 2 dots on the front of the phone is? i know it's not a front cacing camera, but it's strange.. can't seem to figure out what it is.

Sep 7, 2010I don't understand why while using the lock feature on my Incredible when i recieve a text it shows up on the screen before i unlock the phone. isn't the point of locking it to keep prying eyes from seeing your stuff? Is there a way to prevent the contents of the text from showing up before unlocking while still being notified that you have recieved a message?

Jun 23, 2010I'm sure the engineers who build these phones are quite brilliant individuals, and certainly, at least one of them has figured out by now that, "Hey, if we put the speaker on the back of the phone, the sound is going to be muffled when the phone rings!"So I'm just curious if there is some logistical/technical reason why this is done? I figure it would be much better design-wise to put the speaker on the front, or maybe even on the bottom. Other than not being able to see the screen in direct sunlight, this is the only real gripe I have about the phone thus far.Also, do you guys lay the phone face down when not using it, assuming you'd otherwise sleep right through the phone ringing when sitting on its back?

Jun 28, 2010First, whenever I make or receive a call the speaker on message appears and my phone calls all are on speaker. I can't seem to fix that, I looked in settings but can't figure out what happened and how to fix.
Secondly, for some reason when I am in a program and hit the "home" icon my Evo no longer opens the home menu and allows me to go to other programs on my home screen. I am forced to hit the back arrow on the phone which is annoying. So if I am browsing like 10 web pages I have to go back to the first page to the first page I opened of the internet , then it allows me to press the "home" icon. very inconvenient...
Please tell me what I did wrong, i don't recall hitting any buttons to change these settings.
HTC EVO 4G :: Top Of Speaker Hurts Ear When Talk On Phone?
Jul 27, 2010The metal bar at the top of the speaker hurts my ear when I talk on my phone. Its mostly when I have to press the phone against my ear like if some talks quietly and the volume is all the way up. I fixed this by putting a case on my phone but I have an extended battery and door on the way so I won't be able to use my case anymore. My question is does this bother anyone else and is there any way I can fix this?

Nov 24, 2010Both speakers in my phone went out...since i've had the phone for about 5 months? I maybe have a combined usage of 2 hours talk time. goto Best Buy "it's a manufacturer defect, we'd have to send it in" die in a fire guy. goto Sprint, pay 35$ to fix it. The reciept shows they only replaced the speaker(s). Both work fine now so I'm all 'wooooo', however, closer inspection, the camera glass isn't cracked like it used to be, andi had a crack in the shell on the bottom left next to the home button, it's gone. Pull off batt cover and its spotless underneath it. Should I assume i have a new/refurb phone and not my old phone with new speakers? I don't mind, phone looks MINT, also, my kickstand isn't squeaky anymore, ha.
