View 2 RepliesEvery 5 minutes this error pops up "Sorry! the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectdly. please try again." It doesnt actually close anything. It pops up even when im not in an app. So it's more annoying than anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Xperia x10 mini. Whenever I try to add a contact to my phonebook, before clicking save this message appears: "The process android.process.acore has stopped unepectedly. Please try again." And I have no other choice but to click "force close"... Another thing is, even though my contacts' names appears in the messages in my inbox, when I click on the phonebook icon, the phonebook is empty...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new Samsung Moment phone and keep getting the error Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. This error does not seem to have a trigger, just happens when the phone is sitting there. I have tried a master reset of the phone and it did not resolve the problem. I've checked all contacts and I do not see any problems with them but I am not real sure what to look for as it doesn't error out on any particular contact. Facebook is not used on the phone so it's not a sync problem there. Are there any logs on the phone I can look at to pinpoint where this might be coming from? Or should I just take the phone back to sprint for a new one?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just started to get "The process com.htc.provider has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. FORCE CLOSE" error. I think I've narrowed it down to my HTC Weather widget, because I noticed that it now states "Current City" instead of the city name, such as Pittsburgh. So, when I open the weather apps and hit the refresh button, I get the error everytime I hit the refresh button.
The only apps I've installed since this started to happen are MyApps, Lookout (Update), MyVerizon (Update) and CNN News (Update).I've only had the ERIS for about two weeks and this is the first time I've encounter this error.
The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.
The process com.android phone has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.
So when I start my droid eris up this is what I am getting. The phone gets no signal. When I start up the phone is asks me if I want to use "htc sense" or "home". I did download "91pandahome" and I guess also "home". I can't go to settings and turn on WiFi or mobile 3g. iIhave no cell signal.
I Just installed a new theme (Live Wire) for my Lithium Mod Rom. Don't know if there is a connection, but when I need to update an app, I get the message something like "process android media process stopped unexpectedly" and it will not allow the update. Everything else works well. I have turned it off for awhile, and have done a battery pull.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI keep getting this message, "The process com.htc.provider has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." followed by a box to 'force close.'
I seem to remember it wanted to update about a week ago, so I hit ok and then the update failed. It has not asked to try and update again since then....
The phone will display this message upon start up and also will occur at other seemingly random times.
The phone works fine after pressing force close but does anyone know how to stop this annoyance?
I'm on orange, and I've just updated from 1.15.61.10 1.22.61.1 then to 2.17.61.2 (2.2 - froyo). After updating I've been getting quite a few process.android.acore force close messages. This error message was coming up during anything and everything I was doing. So I've done a factory reset, but after that, I'm still getting the messages. Maybe not so frequently but still getting them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently experienced the cyclic - and somewhat random: "Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" problem and googling it mostly came up with nothing and in a few cases "fixed it by wiping the phone". I found that unsatisfactory, so I decided to dig deeper. To me it was pretty clear that this was sync related - turning off Contacts sync stopped it from happening. Turning it back on will trigger the problem within a few seconds. So it would seem that something in my G1 Contact database will not transfer to Gmail's Contact database. Sadly I could not find any useful trace, but at least I knew roughly when it had happened.
By comparing what I could see in the database and what actually was visible in the Contact Editor I tracked it down to that I had some Contact Postal Addresses that had a TYPE with a value > 3. In the editor these will still show up as "HOME" ("Other" would have been more appropriate IMHO). If I fiddle this to some other value and save the contact again the problem disappears. In my opinion it would make sense for the acore sync process to handle incorrect values by replacing them with HOME/OTHER instead of crashing. I have not dug into the source, but I would think it would be a trivial fix. I suspect there might be several similar cases where a default fallback would make more sense than to crash the sync. In retrospect I also know how this happened to me: I optimistically used the Phone label to produce a Postal Address label - it never occurred to me that they could be different.
So, I decided to give Tridents ROM a try about 10-minutes ago.
I used ROM Manager, backed-up my old ROM, then downloaded Velocity 0.2.
Now, my phone will do nothing, it turns on and shows the red Droid eye, then when it's time to go to the home screen I get pop-up after pop-up saying that "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have no way of getting on my phone at all, what can I do?
So since I got the phone on Thursday, at random, I'll get these popup crash messages, that say "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly" it has a "Force Close" button, which doesn't seem to change anything other than to acknowlege the message. It will happen at random, sometimes while I'm on the home screen, or sending a text message, but more recently, as I was trying to manage & link contacts. When I searched for this message it seemed to be related to people using Gmail, but I always get this message when I'm doing other things and not even touching my Gmail account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a new phone, but I can not run it.
I get the following information: "Sorry! The process com.google.process.gaps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".
I have been using the SDK for a while now. For some reason only projects I create cause the home screen to go into cyclic lockup as the force close on android.process.acore just shortly launches another one that fails.
I can delete userdata-qemu.img to get a running emulator back. I've tried updating / replacing everything. I can write a very simple project and that is fine. Copy that and update it with say more resource files and it then causes the above problem for no apparent reaason.
It is hard to believe an appplication can inadvertantly cause such a major problem. I'm a bit like a headless chicken, I do not know where to start looking for the cause in my code.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I can't explain, when my app runs, I will on occasion get the following error message: "The application xxxxxxxx (process xxxxxx) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". When I debug my code, it seems to break at random places that doesn't make sense. On top of that I tried to surround the entire code with a try/catch block just to try to catch the exception, but it doesn't work either. I'm suspecting it's the OS that is producing this error message but I don't know why. As far as my code goes, if there were exceptions caused by it, it would've been caught by the try/catch block. Can someone shed some light here?

I have bought chinese android tablet last month.
Boxchip cougar a10c,similiar as mid/player momo tablet
[URL]
It's came with android ice cream sandwich 4.0.1+rooted+unlock bootloader Working flawlessly until i installed task killer app.
I used it,and after several times i killed app, suddenly there is pop up notification came.("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped")
I reboot the tablet, but when it turn on,it is just bootloop.I reset again, and it doesnt appear anything on the screen unless the black screen only (with sometime light flashing from the screen).
Then i flashed and format it to gingerbread (2.3.4) rom from their official web And yes,it is work and finally i can boot into home screen and do any else.
But after several time turning off and on,the problem came back again (bootloop and black screen) but somehow i manage to go to recovery mode and do factory reset+wipe data and cache, but it's useless.
I flashed it again with the same rom,and it's start working.And goes..after a while..the problem back again.
I choose to flash back to ice cream sandwich. When i turn on,then goes the same first problem at the begining ("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped").
I reset again then new problem came out.

Rather than use that guide,i choose to flash to gingerbread rom. Then it's fine,until..you know, reboot the device and back again to bootloop.
Is it because the task killer app?Or it is hardware failure?or maybe there is some file that has been deleted/terminated?
I have the HERO for about 3 weeks now. Until yesterday everthing was ok with the phone, but since yesterday i get this message: "The application TouchFLO (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" when i want to use the weather widget. When this message appears i get only Force Close as an option.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Eris has some apps that have stopped working. Google Maps & Latitude, Youtube, the Market will not load properly and will either give error messages or won't load at all. Gmail, Voice, Gtalk and the web still work. I have did a couple reboots, pulled the battery, cleared the cache and nothing has helped. Any suggestions short of a factory restore or the Verizon store?
