I've recently been having issues with my Eris because it won't send or receive text messages. It comes up as Network not responding or some kind of Radio Interface Source error...also when I make phone calls it always comes up restricted. I've contacted Verizon support and they have not resolved the issue...has anyone else had this problem?

I had hard reset my phone earlier on because I'd accidentally locked myself out of it, stupid as it sounds. I was playing with the lock screen and had accidentally set up a random lock code which I was unable to remember.Ever since then, I've not been able to send or receive text messages. I can make calls, go on the web and and even update my Facebook status from my Contact Card. Any suggestions? I've soft reset the phone, hard reset it once more, taken out the battery, all that good stuff.When I try to send a message, I get this Error code coming up a moment later.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with sending text messages to a few people and they aren't even all on the same carrier.I have been using CM 5.0.6.1 and really haven't had any problem until today.I switched to the stock 2.1 with root because i thought that maybe it was the rom and still these people can't receive my text messages they can send me messages and I receive them but I cannot send them out.I have reactivated my phone twice now and nothing has worked.Any help would be much appreciated.I know I said in the title i can't receive them but I can sorry i'm kind of tired at the moment.

I went into the application manager and cleared the app data, and also power cycled the phone. Any other suggestions? I doesn't appear i can delete and re-download.

For example, texts from T-Mobile appear as from "T-Mobile". However, for some reason every text I get off a company starts a new thread, rather than all being in the same thread.

I saw other posters had those issue, but where mine is different, is that all of my conversations were deleted, except for sent/received picture messages. If a particular conversation didn't have a picture in the conversation, it was completely deleted.
I've tried my settings, turning the phone off, doing a battery pool. Nothing has worked. I of course would like to do everything possible to not have to do a factory reset, but if I have to, I have to.
I have a Droid X2 running version 2.3.5. I have Verizon.
Im using the stock messaging app and for about 3 weeks or so I haven't been able to receive an MMS messages. Everytime i receive one it will say in the notification bar "message not downloaded, retransmission scheduled for xx:xx" and in the actual message there is an option to download but when that is selected it just reverts back to the message in the notification bar.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust to start off, I have a Droid 3, flashed to metro. I didn't flash it myself, so I don't have very extensive knowledge, but it is rooted.
1) My biggest problem: I can't receive or send group messages. I tried both handcent and go sms pro. In GO sms Pro, I've checked Send Settings > MMS Group Chat. I can send and receive MMS, but when I send it to multiple people, they all receive individual texts rather than a group text. Long story short I'm trying to message a group of people with iPhones. How can I do this or what exact settings do I need? I've looked at other threads, but to no avail.
2) 3G isn't working. It worked when I initially got it, and when I called the place that flashed my phone, they said that Metro sent out some file that blocks the 3G access.
I can send and receive normal texts, but not pictures. When I try to send a picture, it says "Message not sent." "MMS not supported by network." "Server response error." And when someone tries to send me a picture, I was directed to a website called viewmymessage.com.

I got the Samsung Stratosphere smartphone last week and I couldn't figure out how to send or receive any multimedia messages. I got home, googled it and found out I had to turn my data on, and turn atuo-receive off, then click download. That worked to receive them but I have NO clue how to send them! It will act like its sending but say pending, and never send? how else to send/receive the messages!

View 2 Replies View RelatedEven after numerous factory resets, through both the Volume Down+Send+End and Settings>Privacy>Factory Reset methods, my Eris has been unable to send or receive texts, and will not allow me to send or receive calls. When I try to text, I get an SMS error with Cause Code: 34 and Error Class: 3. When I try to call, I get an automated error saying that my phone can't be authenticated at this time, and am advised to call #8899. Even after doing so, I get the same authentication error. Wi-Fi seems to work correctly, and my Google and Facebook accounts all sync pretty much perfectly. Is anyone else having any kind of problem like this? And, either way, does anyone know of any possible alternatives that may fix the problem besides a total replacement of the phone?

View 24 Replies View RelatedI've been looking high and low for something that can achieve what is mentioned here, but to no avail. I would like the ability to send/receive messages directly from my Desktop without having to touch my phone (something similar to AirDroid, though unfortunately it only supports SMS).
AirDroid claimed they were able to make it work, though it requires root and other permissions that may infringe privacy rights. this leads me to believe that a similar software should exist.
Don't suggest emulators/BlueStacks - as the experience is suboptimal, and/or one would be required to have a separate phone number or sign out from the phone service in order to use it exclusively on the desktop.
