HTC Droid Eris :: Memory Full - How Do I Use SD Card?

Mar 23, 2010

Getting memory low warning on my Eris. Available space on internal storage is only 28MB. Available space on SD card is 7,506 MB out of total space of 7,572 MB. So, I guess the only thing on the SD card is the pics I took. What can I move to the SD card, and how do I go about doing that? I would think just moving all the Market Apps to the SD side would solve my problems. Any help out there?

HTC Droid Eris :: Transferring Videos From Phone Memory To Card

Dec 27, 2009

I have a ton of videos that were transferred from my old phone to my Eris, and they must have been saved to the phone's built in memory. I want to transfer them to the card so I can put them into my computer. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been unable to sync using the cord because of a driver issue. (I am too un-tech savvy to install a driver from the website-it was too complicated)

Motorola Droid :: Phone Storage Space Getting Low - Text Message Memory Full

Sep 24, 2010

Have the warning message "phone storage space getting low"

Have 11G of 14 on SD card, but only 25MB free on internal phone storage.

Just got a text message that wouldnt come thru, and it said 'no text message space left'.

Just uninstalled somethings that were 10MB, now giving me 35MB free but

I keep getting texts, the phone vibrates , which it wasn't set to do, and says 'text memory full'. I am assuming it is vibrating to give me a warning.

Can I clear some of the text memory, or must I clear all of it. And if so for either, how do I do this.

I have moved apps to sd card that makes sense.

How can I free up more space.

Motorola Droid :: Full SD Card Lag?

Jan 25, 2010

I have about 2 gigs of music on my sd card and my phone still runs smooth as silk. Then I put 8 or 9 gigs worth of videos (mp4's) on there and the whole phone started lagging BIG TIME. Like, lagging more than a...Err, slower than a...Well, something. I mean, I'd swipe from one home screen to the next and the screen wouldn't actually change for 4-5 seconds; And scrolling up and down through gchat IM's or in the app drawer was VERY choppy. I tried a power cycle and a battery pull to no avail. The only thing I did before this laggy behaivor started was dragging-and-dropping those videos onto the card, so I tried deleting them, power cycled the phone and now I'm back to the original smoothness.

I suppose I can live without watching videos on my phone (though, they would have come in handy on a roadtrip I have later this week), but has anyone experienced anything like this?

General :: Galaxy S3 Says That Memory Is Full Actually Not

Aug 8, 2013

I have been having a major problem with my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone. The internal memory of the phone should be 11.25GB (even though it should be 16, but I know how these stuff actually work), Surly I have an extra external SD card, but that's not the problem. The internal memory keeps being filled with nothing.here is a picture to demonstrate the situation:

As you can see the total space is 11.25 GB and if you count the applications, pictures, videos and miscellaneous files, they constitute no more than 2GB, which means that there should be no less than 9 GB left as available in the phone's internal memory, but as you can see I have got 5.84 GB available. How did that happen?

I have rebooted the system yesterday when the internal memory was completely full (even though I have only 2GB filled). And I have a feeling that by tomorrow I will get the memory completely full without downloading or adding anything on the phone.

And don't tell me I should clean cache or whatever that thing is, because I have already done that, and it's not working.

Here's something I haven't seen addressed before. If I am looking up an address on my phone (2.1 leak v3), there is no way to see the full address. Even in edit mode, I would have to maneuver just to see the whole address.

Am I missing something, or is there some kind of a fix?? I noticed the same issue with 1.5 and hoped that the 2.1 would fix this.

HTC EVO 4G :: Phone Memory Full After Fresh Install

Oct 31, 2010

I am fairly new to the whole rooting thing but I managed to get my Evo rooted with unrevoked and then loaded Fresh 3.3 on it a week or so later. I did a couple of back ups using titanium back up, one of the stock ROM and one with the fresh ROM. I kept these on the SD card but I think I should move them to my computer b/c they are large files. What should I have done once I installed Fresh 3.3? Is there something on the root of the SD card I should have deleted? I don't have the space to update to the fresh 3.4 right now and would like to get it updated ASAP.

HTC Desire :: Internal Memory Almost Full - But How Can Reduce?

Oct 3, 2010

This is a problem that has been annoying me for some time, but has recently become ridiculous. As we all know the internal memory is pretty small on the Desire, and i've tried to be conservative with the apps I install (unless I know they can be moved to SD). However, despite this i'm constantly low in internal memory. at the moment, the only apps i have installed on the internal memory are beautiful widgets (1.36mb), colornote (524kb), facebook (3.05mb), mixzing (3.70mb), multicon (316kb), swiftkey (1.84mb), (tasker (1.43mb), voice search (2.54mb) .everything else I have moved to the SD card via app2sd or through the recently posted trick to get all apps to automatically install to SD. As you can see, the apps I have installed (obviously this excludes all the various htc stuff that comes preinstalled etc) falls far short of the supposed 148mb that i have available to install apps, so can anyone shed any light on what might be going on? I've tried clearing various caches to try and free up some spece but this has barely had any impact and this is truly starting to bug me. I've got a desire on 2.2

HTC Desire :: Internal Memory Suddenly Full

Aug 19, 2010

I've been running with about 15-20mb of memory left for the last couple of months perfectly happily, haven't installed any new apps etc. This morning when I woke up the phone was suddenly reading completely full with something like 44kb of internal memory left. I went through and deleted a bunch of apps, emptied various caches and got the memory back down to 130mb of the 147mb. Now, I've had my phone on charge all afternoon, maybe 3 texts and 5 emails have come in and all of a suddenly the memory is totally full again! Most apps now force close because there's not enough memory to run them but something is obviously just filling up the memory somehow. Anybody else have this problem, or any ideas how to solve it?
