HTC Desire :: Uploading Photos To My Google Photos Account
Apr 8, 2010
Is anyone getting the same problem as me when trying to upload photos taken with the camera to Google Photos, directly (from Photo->Menu->Share->Picasa). Photos are uploaded 100% complete but when i go onto Google Photos, the photos are chopped, only top 80-90% are there, the rest is filled with a grey border.
How do I make my contact photo stay as the google photo.I have several contacts who are linked to facebook contacts and have selected the google image are their main photo. Unfortunately some of the contacts seem to keep changing back to the facebook photo after a short while, whilst others remain OK.I have been struggling with this for quite some time, each time I change the selected image back to google but it always changes itself back.
I am trying to upload photos from my Desire to my Picasa web albums and having no success. When i use the share function on the phone I am asked to create a google account or sign in. As I have a google account which i use for my google calender, contacts and tasks I try signing in with that. That is as far as i get, after it trying to connect to the google server and returning to the picture of the photo i wanted to upload. My desire is still syncing ok with calender, contacts and tasks so the account is accessible but not to picasa it seems. I have downloaded Picasa 3 to my laptop and can upload photos from there fine.Any pointers/solutions will of course be gratefully received.
Up until November 2011 I had an older model Motorola Droid X. I was able to take photos using the phone camera and those photos would automatically sync with my Google accounts and could be accessed by Google+, Blogger, etc. All was well and I was happy.
In November 2011, I fried my Droid X when I spilled Gatorade on it and it was immediately replaced with a HTC Droid Incredible 2. I just downloaded Google+ (over six months after replacement) and the photos that I take NOW, sync just fine. But the photos that I took during the last 6-months did not synch up with my Google accounts.
Is there any way to synch the photos taken during the 6-month period that I did not have Google+ installed to be included in the Instant Upload?
Just trying this out on photos of photos. And yes it works. These are my own shots taken with a DSLR, they are printed and hanging and I used my Captivate to photograph them off the wall. The first one I instantly re-tagged because I didn't realize the exact name of what I photographed. Another way to do this is to use a flickr app, like "Just Pictures" that can push shots to Google Goggles for analysis, but I was just trying this straight from my wall. Goggles by nyer82, on Flickr. I noticed that recently any photo uploads have the caption "Uploaded via Facebook Mobile" instead of "Uploaded via Facebook for Android".This changed sometime between May 10 and 15: Sometime between May 10 and 15 the Facebook Android app has c on Twitpic. Can anyone help me with this issue? and is anybody having the same problems as I'm having?
I have the Samsung Moment and would like to upload my photos to the My Pictures folder on my PC. When I upload to "Upload to PC/ or Gmail" it goes right to Gmail but I'd like to put this somewhere else so I can put them easily into folders. Also, any word on when Adobe will be available for the Moment? I'm dying to play Scrabble on my phone.
Don't know if anybody else is having this problem bu I assume somebody is!When I upload portrait photos to facebook (portrait as in not landscape... as in vertical not horizontal), they show up in landscape.
I just got the captivate (had the backflip) and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to upload photos to facebook. With the backflip it was so simple, take the pic, tap share, tap facebook.I tried that on this phone but when I do share my options are picasa, bluetooth, gmail, email, allshare, messaging and online locker. And when I log onto facebook through the website or app there is no option for uploading photos.I have googled this topic to death and find absolutely nothing.

I'm having some difficulty with sending photos to facebook. If I take a photo using the option in the facebook app, the photo will be a thumbnail size when it gets sent to facebook. However, when I take the photo through the camera app and then do share to facebook, it will be full size. Is this just me or is there a way around this?
So the wife and I have our own google accounts on our androids but I would like to set up a shared google account mainly for photos. So in my case, my phone would have me@gmail setup on the device and I add shared@gmail.
I would like the shared@gmail account to handle photos uploading, so I would disable auto-upload and google photos sync on me@gmail and enable them on shared@gmail (but nothing else synced on that account).
1. Would the phone then act as it would normally without me worrying about the other account? So would gmail, google play, google+ etc automatically default to my main account and such without me having to choose accounts every time I do anything?
2. Would the photos albums synced with the shared account (but not on the main account) still show in the gallery/google+ photos apps?
3. If I wanted to manually share a photo from my camera, how would I ensure that photo went to the shared@gmail account?
I have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7.I am trying to sync all my Google Drive photos with my Google + account. In Google + I have checked the box to allow Google Drive to sync with Google Drive. Most of the pictures show up in Google + without a problem. Some however, do not. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this either. All of my photo folders. It doesn't seem to be related to one format or another. (Ex. One JPG file is there and another isn't)
I recently switched from iOS to Android (I have a Nexus 7 2013). I don't have a ton of photos but I want something similar to iTunes that will sync my photos on my PC with my tablet. I tried many options but eventually chose to install Picasa on my PC and sync my albums to web. Great, I thought, because now all my photos appear on my tablet and aren't taking up space on it. But now I'm having issues with the Facebook app. If I go into it and try to add a photo it only shows me my camera photos. If I go into the gallery app or Google+ Photos and try to share a photo, it gives me an error. It doesn't have this problem for any other app, I can easily add photos or share to Twitter or Instagram.
I had been using Dropbox for Camera Uploads that I take with my phone so that I know I have them backed up, but Dropbox has such a low storage that I wanted to turn to Google Drive/Google Photos.
Ever since I made the attempted change. From what I've gathered, if you use Auto Backup for your phone, photos that you take will be uploaded to Google Photos BUT not into ANY album and simply sorted by date. Even local files that are neatly organized into folders are just thrown into Google Photos, forcing you to hope you can find that one photo you are looking for.
Of course, you can put those photos into albums AFTER you back them up/upload them but that's difficult, so why do they NOT have it organized by folders/albums? Is there no way to do this? I also wanted to be able to do that by having my photos from my desktop to backup to Google Photos but it is a hellish nightmare trying to sort through all of them.
I just want to be able to organize my photos (around 2k worth) and not have to take a day or two just to sort my photos in albums when they should be in the first place.
I thought that if we sync'd facebook to the Hero that people's display pictures would automatically become their contact photo on the hero.can someone tell me if this is possible and how they've done it?
The photos app on my note 3 has an option to automatically backup my photos to Google +. I don't use Google + or any other social media for that matter. I just want to make sure my photos will be private and no one else will be able to view them. I would rather jus backup to Google drive, but that doesn't seem to be an option without the use of a 3rd party app
My friends and I use Google+ Messenger all the time to send quick notes and photos. Over the past 3 weeks or so, any photo I take or post from my phone gives a Remove | Retry error and no one can see it.
I don't use MMS / SMS, so this is my only way of sharing photos. I've tried resetting the app, uninstalling / reinstalling. Tried different ROMS (on my Galaxy Nexus) and the problem is also happening on my wife's Galaxy S3.
But ever time i send a photo using mms it resizes the image to a really low size way below 300k which seems to be the max size you can send in a mms. how do i send the photo in a text or mms and the phone not auto resizeing the photo. i no i can use email to stop the resize
I've just got a htc desire and would like to know where photos (taken using the camera) are saved to? i.e. sd card or internal phone memory. Also, when you download attachments where do they go? This is my first Android device. My previous devices have been windows mobile where i could see / choose where attachments, photos etc were saved to.
Does anyone know if it is possible to geo-tag photos without enabling GPS. Surely it should be able to do this via cell positioning? Obviously if I am in-doors, I cannot usually get a GPS lock + it takes a while to lock on, if I just want to point and click but still geo-tag, can I not just use cell location?
