I recieve a weekly text from my bank telling me my balance. It always shows as having been sent by one of my contacts, the same one every time. Anybody else had this?

I am sure this has been asked millions of times but how shitty does it look, my goodness. everytime i dial a friend & see their nice pretty picture but soon as it dials, the picture looks awful & blurry. My pictures are good quality pics that i saved to my sd card & then i just added them while creating contacts etc. is their a easy fix to this? i also have a app that lets you display a full caller id photo when your being called but it does not look good right now.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI import VCF's with contact details from the company intranet into google contacts to get the details to my Magic (Vodafone, Android 1.6). This works just fine but the pictures get messed up:
Picture of person A ends up connected to the picture of person B or C. Pictures don't show up when dialing or incoming calls are received, they only show up when searching. Please note: in google contacts all looks fine. Again, I'm quite content with the way it works, the picture handling is just confusing.
I am Using Sony Xperia Mini on Android 4.2.2. The Problem is Google Calendar Doesnt Show the Birthday Events Which i have added in Contact Details. It shows only if add manualy any event. I have ticked all the options under Account Sync. Still the Problem Persists. And Strangely This same problem Occured even in GB,IC,JB even CM too.

When one particular contact of mine sends me a text I will receive an old text instead. Sometimes from that conversation, that day or it may be even older than that. Usually I receive the new text they sent me at some point later but not always. The contact is on the same carrier (Verizon) and using an iPhone 4. I should add that this was also happening on my Motorola Razr (same particular contact). The Razr was rooted and had a new ROM as well, but I believe it also did it when I went back to the stock ROM.
Does this sound like and issue with my friend's phone or mine? Her phone does not do this with any other person but me. And mine doesn't do it with any other person than her.
It happens when using stock messaging or Handcent.
I just installed Handcent on my Droid and am having two problems. I checked the settings and can't figure out why these things aren't working properly.
1. The pictures from my contact list do not show up next to the texts. Every one of my contacts has a silhouette and question mark in place of the picture - which shows up fine in the default messaging app.
2. When a new text comes in, the new text notification pops up on the taskbar. I do not receive a handcent notification icon, and if I open the text with Handcent, the default message notification does not disappear.
I have birthday details for some of my contacts entered into my googlemail account.then I click Phone from the home screen and then select the a contact the Birthday section under information shows one day earlier, e.g. birthday set as 25th August shows as 24/08. Is this a known bug, and if not how do I report it to HTC?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI do not know how but for some reason the phone numbers in my contacts (People) list are now displayed in US format instead of UK i.e. 123-456-78910 instead of 12345678910. When sending an SMS and i load up the contacts list BOTH the US and UK formats are displayed. I have tried deleting all my contacts and reimporting them from a back up on the SD card but no change. I have also tried to change the view settings of the list in case its my google contacts showing but it shows 0 contacts for google but 149 for the phone, i only have half that. I have used HTC Sync Google sync recently, could these be the problem? If so how do i fix it?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI tried sync-ing my contact book for my facebook contact updates but it showed no updates even after a few days, but my contacts do have updates on actual Facebook.So I thought I'd try to delete off my account from Accounts&Sync and re-add my account again after a few minutes.After re-adding the account, my friend stream works fine, sync-ed as per normal but when I click on my contacts book/people and tried to link my contacts to their facebook, it showed a blank list and words in the middle showing "No matches found", in other words, I don't have friends?I waited for a hours and tried to re-add and sync again but still can't link my contacts to their facebook because it doesn't show up any facebook link for me to link to my contacts no matter how I try.I resetted my phone back to factory defaults and tried again but it's still the same.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust got my 1st smart phone last week (Desire) and to be honest i am still not sure what to think of it. One of the problems that i have been having is that when i start a text message and go to put the contact in all of my contacts are duplicated, even though this is not the case when i open up the People folder. Is there any way that i can get this to return to normal? Each of the duplicated contacts in the messages widget has a blank face next to it and the other has a picture of what looks like a sim card.

I was somehow able to bypass this yesterday by going to the regular website (which eventually just put me back on the mobile site). I'm wondering if it's just my phone. I do know the regular website (accessed via computer) was acting funny yesterday.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHad my desire for about 4 months now, tres happy with it, one of the first apps i downloaded to use instead of the stock was Handcent for SMS.Today I take it out to send a text and the conversation screen is blank!Can't find texts anywhere - including if I go into the traditional 'messaging'.And then to top it off, I send a text to my sister and it goes to my wife!? Despite the conversation window showing the correct name and profile photo.Anyone else had any issues with Handcent? Reading other posts, I now know that its also a battery drainer, so I'll be uninstalling it, but I'd like me messages back first!

i've flashed my device with a modaco rom with froyo to try it out. I've found a few bugs and found my last rom a lot better + i'm not receiving texts from abroad so i'm starting to think i may have to send the phone back to vodafone. Now i dont think vodafone have released there ROM - does any body have any idea where i can get hold of the next best thing?

When I try to ring someone it just beeps and ends the call. When someone rings me it says unavailable. Nor can i send or receive texts. I?ve spoken to my network operator and everything is fine on their end and also got a new sim card from them just in case it was a sim card fault. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Ideally, if I miss a call and/or text, I would like to be reminded every n minutes either by vibrate or by ringtone (whichever's activated) until I acknowledge the missed call/text.
I don't know how people live without this. I've had a Nkia for 18 months and I got tired of having to look at the screen of the phone every time I finished taking a walk(could never feel vibrates while walking) taking a shower (they're not waterproof yet), etc.
