Sep 10, 2010So are there any Poker apps that let you play with two people on the same phone? Much like one they have on the iPhone, where each player has one side of the phone (like "2 Player Reactor" on Android, if you've played that).
All I see are online poker apps and poker calculators etc.

Jan 6, 2010Anyone have experience with a good countdown timer that works well with Droid? I think I downloaded the "Ultimate Stopwatch" once and it didn't work well (The alarm sound was way too soft). There are dozens of timer apps, and it seems people have various problems with all of them, aside from maybe a few pay ones. But I just want something really simple. Just for timing things like cooking stuff in the oven and poker games. Any suggestions?

Already i can see that android is significantly better than Winmo 6.5 which was awful in my opinion.Is there an app that can play avi files? Aug 7, 2010Bought myself a Desire about a month ago from Play.com and stuck in a o2 payg sim i already had, really love it and everything is working great.I heard Froyo had been released ota so i decided to use the "check now" option however it claims that my phone is up to date. I've checked the softare information and its def 2.1-update 1, as far as i can tell the phone is definitely unbranded and there are no custom scenes or wallpapers.I even took the sim out and tried doing a check it still says there is no new updates. I'm a resident of the UK but as far as i can tell that shouldn't make a difference.I'm not in too much of a rush as its new software but i was just a little worried something was wrong. Anyone got any suggestions?

May 13, 2010I have tried to transfer an mp4 (Terminator salvation) from a laptop to my phone and when I play it, I get the 'cannot play video' message.I thought that I may have done something wrong when transferring so today I also tested it via Bluetooth with a friend who also has the desire but on o2 (I am with Orange). I turned on the ftp server and it took the file via, went to 100% completing the BT transfer but again, when I try and play it I get the exact same message. This file was also mp4. This file works on his Desire (it is a 26 minute cartoon called the Boondocks) but not mine. I cannot understand the inconsistency as you would think that the same would apply to both mine and his.My last phone was a n95 and I am not someone who regularly takes an interest in new gadgets coming out, making this big jump (only ever used Nokia's and Ericson's before the desire). However, I have had a new phone (always top of the range through upgrade) every 12/18 months since 2001 so I am very much used to adjusting to new phones, albeit not the 'smartphone' generation. So I am not a technophobe but nor am I a tech geek. But I cannot for the life of me work this one out.

Jul 10, 2010I bought this as I wanted to play last.fm from my HTC Desire via the in car speaker system.
As I have the kit to mount the Desire in the car (for Google Navigation) it was a straight swap of one charger for another.
You set a station on the radio and the sound from your phone is transmitted to the the car radio. A great product that is simple to use and just works. The sound quality is good and I am very happy with this product.
Note: Very slight hiss if you crank up the radio too much, better to increase the volume on the phone first.

Nov 16, 2010I am trying to compile a list with music players which can play music by their order in their folder. Not by artist, album, genres and other. Just to play the music in a given folder one after another.
A quick search made me download tinyPlayer which does the job fine but the interface kind of lacks visual appeal. Any other apps for the purpose?
HTC Desire :: Can't Play Music From New SD Card
Sep 22, 2010I've changed my 4GB card for a 32GB one, and now everything works except playing music. Seeing as that was the main reason for getting the bigger card, I'm a little disappointed.I use a Mac, and copied a load of MP3 files onto the new card while mounting the phone as a USB drive, the same way I did for the original card. I've tried the built in Music app as well as MixZing and MoodAgent, but none of them are able to open the files, which I can see with Astro.I've tried reformatting the card (using the phone) which has made no difference.
