is there any news on the update that on the 10th of this month was stated on the voda eforum to be available in the next 7-10 days, ive got a horrible feeling that was said to shut everyone up about the firmware update fiasco.
Last night they were all there, this morning nothing. At first I thought it was just slow to load them, it sometimes happens & you wait for a couple of seconds then they all appear. But not today. I updated my firmware yesterday twice - first to 1.32.405.3 and then to 1.32.405.6 - but they were definitely there after the updates. I've seen some other threads with the same issue on other phones but they're all at least a few months old. htcsense.com has, disaapointingly, not got all of my messages either. It seems to have most of them (including the last one I sent) but somehow is missing some in between.
This morning, I received a Firmware update notification. I clicked it to download it and it updated. I have now got the following details:- Firmware version: 2.1-Update1 Sofware Number: 22.214.171.124 Browser Version: Webkit 3.1 Anyone have any idea what the bug fixes or improvements were?
just updated to 2.2, since then its not letting me download anything from market place. I have plenty space on internal memory, also the browser crashed as soon as I load any BBC websites. I have an untouched phone - not rooted etc.
This is my first post and I am new to Android so excuse my ignorance if this is well documented and common knowledge. I have a stock ADP, firmware 1.0, no updates no mods and of course I want to get the latest features such as voice control, latitude etc, and so begins the fun. Why is there nothing official that can be easily found which states what is going on for people that own the ADP? I must have read dozens of articles showing update procedures and claiming to have leaked OFFICIAL developer updates and only recently did i find 2 thread that eventually end with something stating there is NO official update for developer phones yet.
I have 2 gripes about this: 1. Why no official and clear statement from the development team to clarify this before people start scrambling desperately to install leaked versions that are false? (I know I almost did) 2. Why as a developer do I have to wait for features that are already available to end users?
I think I've read on the thread about the Froyo 2.2 release, that a rom has been leaked that will work with Sense on the Desire? Has anyone got any links/guides to getting this to work?
Secondly, I've currently got my phone debranded but this has led to my wifi being disabled since the last firmware update, I know I'll have to root my phone to install the 2.2 rom but will this then mean I will have to input the network code as that's what I was told would need to happen if I was to reflash my phone with the unbranded rom again.
Picked up a Milestone today, firmware is 2.1 update 1, build number shols_u2_02.31.0. I just wanna check I've got an official firmware version on board and not a rooted version, so I can get the official updates when released. Anyone know how to check the details?
Just posted on XDA by designgears : I897ucjh7 - not froyo, - xda-developers. Looks like it's the final test firmware before the official release. Word from those that have flashed is that they are getting a GPS lock, Indoors. Also, it Looks like updates to the phone will be done with Kies, not OTA. Also has been said that it's pretty quick and the lag issue has been addressed.
I have posed this question in some threads but as yet have made no progress.I am just curious as to why HTC appear to have left out the Bluetooth Voice Dialler function that can be provided by the Froyo 2.2 O/S. I believe this feature is present and enabled in some of the cooked roms and also in the Nexus one Vanilla 2.2 so why not here?If I have missed somthing simple or if anyone is aware why it is missing or how I can activate it that would be fantastic!
I know there are so many 2.2 threads around but i have a small problem. I rooted my desire, using lekkys guide, so it is not debranded, unlocked, and rooted. How can i now get OFFICAL HTC 2.2 on there?
Has any body seen this official car mount for the Desire? it seems a little expensive to me. It apparently activates the NaviPanel interface on your phone when plugged in but how do you know if your phone supports this or not?
Has anyone purchased the official HTC Desire car kit (reference on the HTC website is CU S420)? If so, does the charger actually charge up the phone or just prolong the time it takes for the battery to drain like all of the unbranded chargers seem to do?
I've made the mistake of dropping my desire and now it has a few scratches, particularly on the bronze part. Is there anyway to replace this cover or buy an official version of it? I already have the case for it but I dropped it when it was outside the case.
I got my desire on Orange, anyway its overheating so have been told to send it back, only issue is I debranded it I just put official FroYo on it, Would I get away with it? Its not going direct to Orange but the online retailer I got it off, could I just act stupid or something?
I have rooted my phone and currently running DeFroST 2.7 Rom Android version 2.2, (did this back in early august) I basically would like to know what the current latest update for my HTC Desire is. Is there a newer DeFroST update out there or do i now update to Froyo 2.2? Also would like a pointer in direction of where to download the latest update from?
I am using the official twitter app on my desire, and I have noticed that the size of the app keeps growing. The 'data' component of the app is now 3MB on my phone. And there is no way to remove it. The only option I get is to uninstall the app. Any way to get around this problem?
