Is there any way to view HTML emails with HTC mail viewer? I know I can with the googlemail app. I have tried changing email size to "No Limit" but the option below of "message format" is greyed out as "plain text". Any way to change this to HTML?
My environment is: 1 Exchange Account - Push 1 IMAP (Gmail) - 2 hourly 1 POP (Hotmail) - Once daily My issue is that I am receiving alerts for the same new mail repeatedly. Here's the gist: 11:50 - New mail hits my inbox. 12:00 - I receive a notification of the new email. 12:05 - I check my inbox, but choose not to open the email at this time. 14:00 - I get a notification of a 'new' email, yet on checking it's the one received at 11:50, but still haven't opened. 15:00 - Rinse and repeat. Now, I'm not sure how many times this is happening, or even if it's everytime, but there's something definitely glitchy with mail notifications.Has anybody else noticed similar behaviour? If not I may try removing/adding my accounts back in again.
Sorry if this has Been asked a million times but can I add a yhoo mail account to the android mail app? I have tried various settings in the manual add section but can't add a yahoo mail account. would much prefer not to use the yahoo mail app from the store!

I have just started learning to develop for the G1 after two weeks of joyful us of my actual G1. I have however, come across a stumbling block in my development learning. I have successfully emulated an SD Card on the emulator. However, now, after saving an image from the browser to the phone I cannot 'View Picture' or 'Crop Picture' for a wallpaper. All I get when trying to access the picture is an error message saying: "The application Camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped automatically. Please try again." Does anyone know why this is or how to get around/fix it?
I am developing a Java Android application that displays web content from the assets folder in a web view. I had no problem getting this content to display in the application but I am confused as to why my images are not displaying properly. I'm working with a Motorola Droid that is supposed to be 480x854 resolution. When I create banner images using these dimensions and attempt to display them in the web view they're enormous and they flow off of the screen. It doesn't appear that the web view is actually 480x854. Can somebody let me know what I am missing here? I do not know what size to set the images to so they are just right.
I decided to purchase a new camera bag with a section to carry around my Tablet, a Fujitsu M532 running Jelly Bean. The main reason was so that when we're on holidays, I can view the photos on the bigger screen direct from the camera - a Canon EOS 7D and them delete them if I don't like them. I've read some information on the internet and it seemed that I would need to download one of the Apps that also gives you the ability to control the camera from the Tablet; I'm not really bothered about that, but always there if I wanted it. So I downloaded DSLR Controller, and paid my $ 5.94. In theory as soon as you switch on the powered up camera the Tablet should detect it and hey presto. Well mine doesn't, and also if I select the option to search for it, no joy. I have purchased the correct cable converters to get the Tablet's Micro-USB into the Camera's Mini-USB and the cables work fine away from this set-up. I'm assuming that my Tablet is just incompatible, but surely there must be some way around this.

On placing images(back and forward images) at two end of my gallery view ,i have gallery to list menus to scroll horizontally, and this gallery is in RelativeLayout how can i get the images at two ends of gallery without scrolling.
I am new to android development.I am trying to prepare a list view with check boxes without using android.R.layout.simple_list_item_multiple_choice. xml inbuilt file. But am i facing problems with check box on click events.
I have a SurfaceView that is being used to draw custom animations and I would like to overlay them onto a live-feed from the phone's camera. Currently, the SurfaceView that contains the animations has a white- background, but if I were to overlay them onto the phone's camera feed, they would have to be transparent. The camera and animation drawing cannot be done on the same SurfaceView. Is it possible to make a SurfaceView transparent? What is the best course to pursue the use of multiple views? My end goal is to essentially overlay the contents of another SurfaceView onto the Camera SurfaceView.

Recently I did a bunch of updates and started using google now. My phone performance has been significantly degraded as a result.
My most pressing issue is that after taking a photo, when I go to view it, it shows as normal brightness for 1 second and then gets very dark. This happens for every image as I scroll through them individually. It appears that I now have some sort of editing option or maybe google photos or picassa has hijacked my viewer. When I click on the gallery app this dimming issue does no occur. I am unable to view photos from the camera after taking them.
I AM WRITING FROM TURKEY, I HOPE I CAN FIND ANSWERS FOR MY QUESTION. I OWN A HTC HERO AND VERY MUCH LIKE IT, BUT I CAN NOT OPEN E-MAIL MEDIA FILES, OR POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS. WHENEVER I RECEIVE AN E-MAIL WITH MEDIA FILES OR PPS I AM DOWNLOADING IT SOMEWHERE I DO NOT KNOW BUT COULD NOT OPEN IT. DO I NEED A PROGRAM FOR IT?
I have a video that was sent to me at my gmail account and it was sent by a Black Berry. The video played on the BB but when I tried to view it in the message from my phone, I could not even download it. In the email, it has a paperclip with a point to the right, and the name if it is VID 00028.3GP (262kb size). I could not do anything with the attachment and when I touched the paperclip icon, it wouldn't do anything. I forwarded the email to another person and she could view the video- from her iPhone.
So, that's my dilemma and I hope you can help. By the way, I am a Verizon user and my Droid 2 has Android version 2.2. If you need anything else, please let me know. If you want me to send the movie to you for troubleshooting, please PM me and I will. It's just the winning touchdown to my University's game today and I don't mind sharing it- because it was awesome but I'd like to know why I can't watch or download it.
This is a big disappointment for me. As reported in the "known issues" leaked document, you cannot view a PDF from the standard e-mail client. You have to save the attachment to SD then use a file explorer to find the file and view it. A huge pain!
I was sure hoping yesterday's update would fix this issue, but it did not.
If VZW and Sammy hope to make this phone a contender in the business market, this must be fixed. Email 101 guys.
I know I can use Touchdown, but don't like how it integrates with the rest of the phone.
I was pleased to see pinch and zoom on the email client, unlike the Droid X/2, but this lack of PDF attachment viewing is just unacceptable!
(HTC Desire running Froyo, not been rooted/molested).I have the stock email app set up to send/receive email through my BT email account. This all works fine with one exception. If I am sent an email which contains an image, I just receive the text no image at all (not even any sign that an image should be there). If the image is sent as an attachment then it is fine, it is only a problem when the image is in the body of the email.I have checked through settings and have set mail size limit to 'No Limit'.Can't see any other relevant settings.I found an old thread about this when I searched and it suggested that this was a known issue and may be corrected in 2.2. However, I am running 2.2 already. This is especially annoying as my cousin has been sending emails containing photos from her iphone and finds it quite amusing that my HTC cannot even display them
I'm not really feeling the love for the quality of the images the Desire produces, mainly due to blue cast each image seems to have. If i want to keep an image i find I have to colour correct it with Photoshop which i hope you can appreciate is kind of annoying! Also, and this doesn't happen all the time but the screen sometimes splits in two/three when taking a photo which again is bloody annoying. Is this a known issue is there a software fix or do i have a duff unit and need to speak to HTC to repair under warranty.
You know that you can get settings toggle widgets i.e mobile, WiFi, airplane? Well when I set up the widgets I see that it will have a certain image next to it for example with 'mobile widget' there is a blue planet type image, which I have seen other people have on screenshots via thread on here. However when I actually have the widget on screen its just boring black with 2 arrow pointing opposite ways. Anybody know why or how to change it?
For some reason on the main screen on my new htc desire hd the shortcut images of my contacts seem to be very blurry and hard to make out. Is there a setting to make it more clear, also my contacts list the pics down the side are blurry to. I am sure it was clearer on my other htc I had. Also when I scroll up and down on the main screen the icons seem to very slightly flicker is this normal?
I'm using the stock browser on my Desire, and I'm starting to notice that not all inches are appearing. Mostly this is when browsing forums and the smilies just appear as blue diamonds with question marks inside. Does anyone know why this might be?
