General :: Sony Xperia Tipo Dual ST21i2 Stuck After Installing Custom ROM
Mar 30, 2014
I'm usin sony xperia tipo dual st21i2. Two days back I have rooted my mobile using unlockroot. Yesterday i was trying to install custom ROM, for that i booted my mobile in recovery mode using install.bat. In recovery mode took back up and wiped data and cache then installed the zip file(ST21i JBMP5.zip) from SD card and rebooted. Now the mobile got stuck with the screen showing JB MINIPROJECT and a circle was revolving in anticlockwise around the number 10. I pulled the battery and tried to boot in recovery mode but no use. whatever i do the mobile stuck with the same screen.
i hv a sony xperia tipo which i recently updated to 11.0.A.4.27. After the update i am unable to root the device using Bin4ry saying system/app/backup-restore.apk does not exist, sustem/bin/ric does not exist. I hv used bin4ry with old firmwares and it worked but dis tim it shows the above things does not exist, but shows successful and reboots but nothing happens.
Surely, the last partition "/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 = 2311 MB" is the free storage not being used, and "/dev/block/mmcblk0p15 = 803 MB" is the phone memory, which I want to extend/increase.
My question is: Is it possible to merge the alst 2 partitions (e.g. by formatting 2.2GB space and then merging it with the 803MB space. This way my phone will have its system memory pretty large, and I will be able to install more applets through BusyBox as well as Chrome etc.
Whenever I am trying to root my xperia tipo v16 ,through binary rooting, after pressing 1 and then enter key it says pls connect to usb debbuging where I am spree connected to it.Pc companion is also not getting installed.
Anyone ever had this happen? Downloaded an update after the 2.1 upgrade and I sync'd my contacts with FB. It then deleted all of my contacts. So I deleted Facebook, re-stored all my contacts and reloaded Facebook. However, now it gets as far as installing and it never stops. It just stays on Installing. However, the FB app works fine on the phone itself. Is this a Market glitch? Is there anyway I can purge it from out of my downloads section?
i recently flashed custom roms in my arc s and returned to stock because of the features, when i installed ics 4.0.4 the battery meter is stuck in 100% and the mobile would switch of all of a sudden saying battery is emply i tried deleting battery stats, formatted everything except sd card still no use it is still stuck.. i flashed gingerbread and the battery meter worked fine i was showing the correct percentage, once after i flashed gingerbread charged the battery to 60% and flashed gingerbread it was showing the right percentage... i know the sensor is fine coz its working in gb.. i tried battery calibration and different battery status apps all show 100%. ics once the batterys drained it doesnt charge properly..
I recently tried to flash packman rom onto my Sony Xperia Z I went through the steps of rooting and installing CWM that all went well until i noticed that I could not access recovery mode so I decided to download an app to do it for me and it worked fine so when I got round to installing the rom it came up with an error message so i thought o well it must have not flashed it so i decided to restart my phone but now it wont get past the sony logo and i cant access recovery or flashmode
last night i rooted my phone and it was perfect but today i saw an video on youtube showing how to make status bar transperent like android 4.4 in that video he said it is a app runs on rooted device .the app name was framework some thing like that i opened that app and clicked on frame work it ask me to grant root access i gave it and clicked on install/update and first time it restarted after restarting it once again i opened that app and did the same process .then thhe output was successfully created new partition and restarted and got stuck on boot loop and i cannot do any thing when i connect it to pc for pc companion the pc is not recognising the device.

Multi-touch issue, was promised late last year then was announced that it wasn't going to happen, can we replace the digitizer so we can get dual/multi-touch? Ninth Issue Now it seems that SE don't want to talk about Multi-touch, I just don't understand how come Xperia X10 has a single touch digitizer but X10mini has a dual touch digitizer but it's disabled so it can only work as a single touch. My question is this: Can we replace the digitizer in the Xperia X10 to a Dual or Multi-touch digitizer? Multi-touch fiasco: SE kept saying that Xperia X10 was Dual/Multiple touch capable, it was confirmed during Mobile World Congress, it was later "corrected", and Sumit Malhotra in the official Sony Ericsson blog said that the Xperia X10 was going to have Multi-touch with an OS update which few months later and after thousands of unanswered post by customers and SE fans we learned the truth that its not software but a hardware issue, in other words, its cheaper for SE to buy single touch digitizer for a 4inch screen than ironically buying a dual touch digitizer for the x10 mini but block it through software, yeah the x10 mini has hardware capable of dual touch but: " I noted some of your comments asking for the multi touch support. Having shared our personal experiences using the new UI within our team, we just love it the way it is and think that multi-touch would actually just destroy the simplicity of using these products. To avoid any speculation I can confirm that we do not have any intention to implement multi touch on X10 mini and X10 mini pro." Every time I go to CWM and pick a zip file to flash, it starts writing log, but as soon as it hits the point "Opening update file", it gets stuck there. I waited for an hour, and it just didn't progress. I had CWM work before. Oddly, I can still install Gapps.zip and CM9nightly.zip(I'm using CM9 now, because there ain't no choice...[not saying it's bad rom, it's just greedy for battery])
And sometimes, it won't get stuck there, but instead it aborts the install and says:
"E:can't open /sdcard/update-Arconium-ICS-v7.zip (Bad) Installation aborted." (obviously update-Arconium is the rom I try to install)
I've tried to format my SD card couple of times, but it made no difference. I've tried wiping data, dalvik and cache. No difference. I've tried corresponding kernels. Again, no difference.
I made an android application in 1.6 SDK. It works in all devices, which includes HTC Tattoo, LG, Samsung Galaxy, Motorola Droid and Nexus one. But in Sony Xperia, firmware is 1.6. When I try to install its getting the error, "Application cannot be installed".
I created an application in 1.6 SDK. It uses GPS. But its not installing in Sony Xperia. I installed other application developed in 1.6 SDK and its working fine. But when I am using GPS its not working. The code is like this,
I want to know if it is possible to install applications in the X10 downloaded from the internet with a PC. I do not have internet connection from my mobile and I would like to install some applications on it, but the only way explained in the manual is using the market and I can not use it.
After installing 2.1 when ever I try and run Market I get the following error: The application Market (Pprocess com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. All I can do is force close. If you go to manage applications it is not there so I can not clear cache etc.
I was deleting a sms thread from a particular person, when at the same time, this person sent me a SMS. I was not able to open the SMS by tapping on the envelope icon on the notification, however I am able to clear it from the notification. BUT each time I receive a SMS this notification pops up again, so each time i have to clear this msg. What can i do to get rid of it?
How do you install the .apk files from your computer to the Xperia x10? I installed Astro and loaded an app in there then tried to install it and it comes up with. For Security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market. How can I get around this?
I'm having a problem with the internet. Recently I updated new software on my phone Xperia X10 mini, (2.1) and since then I can't access the Internet trough Web! I could access it on 1.6 software (there would be those 2 arrows one on up on on down) and now I can't get that connection again. And one more question, how come that I'm not visible on Bluetooth at all and I can't send any data over bluetooth, or at least receive.
I was looking at a Samsung phone today that had a Live Wallpaper that I really liked. It's called Ocean Waves and it's like you are looking through water down into a sandy ocean floor. Nice reflecting light and ripple patterns. So I checked out the Market but I couldn't find it however did I did find it at another site and I was able to download it. The file is a Zip file which contains several folders and individual files. Could someone tell me how to install these files so that I can add this to my LiveWallpaper library? I have installed the Zip file in the download folder of my SD card.

i have a brand-new x10 mini that appears to be stuck in a loop. it boots up fine until i get the "data traffic enabled" message in the notification bar and then the phone freezes. sometimes the time continues to update normally but the phone is completely unresponsive, sometimes the phone restarts itself. if i press the power button and the centre button, the phone reboots but gets stuck in the same cycle. i have installed the companion software and the phone is detected but cannot connect i have also tried another 02 sim (the phone is locked to o2) without success.
Can anyone recommend a decent (preferably free) 3g process monitor for my still-stuck-on-1.6 X10?
I already have a general data counter - I use NetCounter - but I want something that shows me which processes or apps are using 3g in real time.
The reason is that something on my phone is regularly up and downloading through 3g. It's not using much data, but it is doing it often and running down my battery. I've checked all the usual suspects to see whether updates are turned on, but it's none of them.
I suspect that I've installed something new that's doing it, but I can't find what it is. I could uninstall everything and build my apps back up one by one, but a 3g process monitor should tell me exactly what's going on.
