View 1 RepliesI'm using a ListView with a transparent background. It works fine in Android 1.5 & 1.6, but in Android 2.0 and later, the ListView background turns white while scrolling. I want it to stay transparent, just like in 1.5 & 1.6.
Does anyone know what's going on, or better yet, how I can get this working correctly?
I rooted my phone and everything went great, thanks in part to a lot of help from here now i'm trying to back it up the right way. So far I've copied the whole nandroid and titanium backup folders to my computer and right now rom manager is backing up my rom. What else should i do? do i need to move the rom manager backup folder to my computer as well?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I use the task killer...and at the moment say when I kill tasks it'll tell me there is about 200M avaliable memory free...if I use the phone for a day it'll maybe go down to 150M even if I am still killing apps and there is nothing in 'running services'. If i turn off the phone and turn it back on it goes up to 250M. What is running that I can't stop myself to make it go down from the 250M but that I can just eliminate by turning off the phone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to turn off the sound when you turn the phone on?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo, as of today I have a Motorola Droid coming up for my old Nokia phone. I had BestBuy set me up with the Droid, but when they tried to copy over my contacts to the Droid, they said it failed 3 times and just wouldn't go. They said they COULD get the contacts off of my old phone, but it didn't seem to go over to the new phone for some reason.
Well, I called a number that I knew was in the contacts of my old phone just to test the phone to make sure the phone itself was working when I got home, and when I hung up the call I noticed that it actually showed the name of the person (not their actual name, but the nick-name that I gave them in my old phone) and also showed me the alternate phone number to contacts them with (their cell number). Sooo... it looks like SOMETHING was transfered to my phone, but when I go into "contacts" there is nothing listed. Even when I view the call log, it doesn't show their name anymore, only when I first hung up the call did it show me their name.
Is there a secondary contact list somewhere that they could possibly have been copied over to, and not the main contacts section? I'd really love to get all these phone numbers in there with out having to do it manually.
Is there any way to tether all of an android phone's capabilities to a tablet?
For reference, i'm not talking about wifi, i'm talking about turning a tablet into a phone using a phone. if that makes sense.
what I'd like to do is make/recieve calls/texts on my tablet using my phone. Not using some macguyver method of using google voice or any other service, but legitimately connecting the phone to the tablet to use it's phone number and everything.
well my phone got wet on the back with a case, then i took off the case it and the back which was all wet, the battery was wet to and so was under it, i took out the battery and dried every thing and it worked, everything did, the speakers and buttons. so later today the phone just shut off and wouldnt turn on. so i thought it died and i tried charging and just the light would flicker on the top left of the phone. so i put it in rice for about 5 hours and i put battery back on and now when i press the the power button. the screen just turns on like u can see light, just a black screen. then it goes away.
the battery has some green stuff on one of the gold things that conencts your batteries.
I got my droid2 as a replacement for my droid from verizon after the droid crapped out with 2.2. Now, when I turn on the flash, it's yellow instead of white. Also, when I go into contacts and click on someone, most of the time the number doesn't show. Also sometimes when press the call button next to someones name in the phonebook, it will call someone else. Ex: tried to call my friend Dave and it called Scott.. Not even close to each other in the list...
The camera only works half of the time. When I try open up camera by either pressing the app icon or the hard button, it wont open. There are also times that when I open an app, another app will open. Like I tried to open maps and Dominoes game opens. Other times I tried to answer a call and I try to swipe over and it doesn't slide.
Does anyone else have a Blueant q1 paired with their incredible? I seem to be having some issues with mine. For some reason it is not dialing any of the speeddials correctly. It seems to just do a redial whenever I attempt to dial any of the favorites.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI search an app or a MOD that automatically turn 3g off when I lock the phone. It shouldn't turn off the hole internet. It shoul switch from 3g to 2g when I lock my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedVery happy with the i9000 in the last few days of ownership, using launcher pro in place of stock but otherwise mostly unchanged. One issue we have is that after being at home overnight on WiFi, the phone doesn't automatically re enable 3g. To restore the mobile data you have to go into the network operator selection and re select Optus (our carrier here in Aus). Leaving it on auto doesn't help, and you have to manually choose it each time (ie: it "forgets" what I selected or something). Using apndroid to mangle the apn on/off doesn't help. Restarting the phone fixes it but obviously not ideal.
Have tried entering the code to change it to gsm only instead of the default wcdma/gsm auto with no benefit. When the mobile data is working, it happily switches between 2g and 3g, but will sometimes simply stop working as per the wifi overnight problem and I have to manually select the operator again. This happens very randomly and can go several days without drama, our only a few minutes. While this data won't connect, the phone capabilities aren't affected and you can make and receive calls fine. In fact if you dial a number it sometimes causes the data to re connect.
My blackberry did, but my S4 doesn't turn on if it's off to sound the alarm. Is there an internal setting I can put on to fix this, or do I have to download a quick fix app for it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been been on the charger but it won't charge , theres an orange blinking light though the pulsates , no matter how long I leave my phone on the charge it won't turn on what do I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering how I could turn off the blinking green light on my phone every time I get a text. If I don't clear my notifications of the new text(s) right away, the blinking light kills my battery. I do want to keep the notification on my drop down bar, I just want the blinking light to stop. Is there anyway to do this? I know I can take off the blinking light and drop down bar notification, but I don't want both gone, only the blinking light.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought an HTC First a few weeks ago ( I think lol) and love it so far. So earlier today at school I was on my phone, and nothing was wrong. I put it in my pocket and about 20 minutes later I pulled it back out and it was dead. Odd, because it was almost full before. So I thought, whatever I'll charge it at home. So after school I put it on charge and the red light wasn't blinking. I gave it around 30 minutes and still nothing. It's been a few hours and still, it isn't charging or turning on. I tried holding power/vol+/vol- for more than 2 minutes. I have warranty but HTC said if I send it in I'll be forced to pay to replace the screen too, which has a TINY crack on the corner .
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid RAZR MAXX running Android 4.1.2 and for some reason my phone just freezes overnight. When I wake up the notification light may or may not be blinking and when I try to press the power button to wake it from sleep the screen will stay off. I usually need to perform a hard reboot by pressing the power and volume down button. After that I turn it back on by holding the power button as usual and I will be greeted with most of my settings reset and all apps reverted to their previous state. For example: If I update the Play Store app the day before it will be reverted back as if it was never updated.

I own a Blu Studio 5.5s and it is stuck on bootloop. I can not enable usb debugging, and recovery mode does not work for me. I accidentally deleted my "systems" file in my phone's hard drive. I went to a store, and they said I need to put a new update on my MicroSD card.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've uploaded my first apk to Google Play, made with processing 2.03.
I used this guide to sign: http:[url].....After a few hours, when the app was visible, when trying to install, I get the "package was not signed correctly". I'v tried it on another device rather than the one used for testing and I have the same issue.
1. is there a way to test apk's faster? It could take up to 12-24 hours for the new apk to be updated on Google Play, and that's what I have to wait to see if I now signed my apk correctly.
2. can you download the app and see if you get that issue?
3. does it matter what information you input when you create the release key using jdk? I mean, does google check against information you use in your Google Play publisher's account and then gives that error?
4. is there an alternate way of signing my apk?
I am using win 7 64 bit, latest jdk7 at the time of writing, latest android sdk with just api level 10 installed, latest version of apache ant (installed manually).
I bought a theme off the market for GoSMS and GoContacts (the theme also has ones for GoLocker and GoLauncher as well which work fine). I have downloaded and installed the themes and gone through the steps to apply it but it does not show the theme. I had read that there is an issue with themes running Jelly Bean and typically if you can get the dev to email you the apk it will work. I have tried contacting the dev multiple times with no response. Any other way to get these items to work correctly? I know there are other options than the ones I selected but I really liked the look of this theme and am kind of picky. The items are linked below:
