General :: Error Fastboot Flash Recovery Due To Reboot

Jul 1, 2012

I have an AT&T Atrix 4G and I wanted to imstall CM7.2.

I had the latest Atrix Android version on it. Then I followed the instruction at the cyanogemod wiki for the atrix. So I flashed the sbf (cyanodenmod wiki -> Motorola_Atrix_4G:_Full_Update_Guide).

The rsd lite flashing didn't succeed because the atrix rebooted and the programm couldn't switch into BP passtrougth, or so. At this point the device said something about 0x1000 no bootloader, but I could choose between rsd, fastboot and the other possibilities.

I booted into the fastboot mode and did an oem unlock. Now it says unlocked.

I booted again into the fastboot mode, and now it should be a simple

Code:
fastboot flash recovery recover.img

But:
Windows) it always says:

Code:
sending 'recovery' (4824 KB)... OKAY [ 0.453s]
writing 'recovery'... FAILED (status read failed (Too many links))
after that the device reboots and is in a boot loop

so i tried linux) The first time i tried the command everythings worked fine, but after reboot i chose.

Code:
android recovery mode, but after a while (secs) the device rebooted.

so went to fastboot again, but now the device reboots after the sending command and then it says writing failed because of no device

I don't know if when I am using rsd lite to flash a complete image the phone reboots again and i have a hard brick.

General :: Using Fastboot Mode To Flash Recovery Image - Device Not Detected

Apr 24, 2012

I deleted /system folder on my nexian cosmic journey. And now my nexian is stuck...

I try to using fastboot mode to flash recovery image, but my device seems not detected. I already installed the android composite driver, but when i use "fastboot devices" command, it shows (?) So how the heck to get my nexian back to normal?..

Or perhaps, if i just be able to put back the /system folder to its place again, it would be more easy to recover it... But how access the root when phone is like that?

HTC Desire :: Stuck Without Fastboot - Recovery Or ROM After Failed RUU Flash

Nov 7, 2010

My Problem: Was using the HTC Desire bought in India. I rooted with Unrevoked 3.21, S-OFF with Alpharev.

I was thinking of taking my phone to HTC to show an LED burnin problem, and tried to unroot by flashing the RUU for Asia_India: RUU_Bravo_hTC_Asia_India_1.21.720.4_Radio_32.36.00 .28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_127705_signed. I thought that was the correct RUU.

I booted my phone in Fastboot, applied the RUU, and it rebooted my phone into RUU. Then it flashed an error message saying the RUU version was incorrect. Being the idiot that I am, I rebooted the phone..And got stuck!

The phone does not boot. On pressing Vol- and Power button, it vibrates, and then nothing. Screen is blank. It wont boot into Fastboot, Recovery or the ROM. If I connect it to USB and do the Vol- and Poweron, it detects my device as an Android 1.0 device.

I have tried the following:
1. Went to Android SDK, tried flashing Clockworkmod recovery image with the command:
Code:........

General :: Flash Image Recovery Gives Error Scanning Partitions

Nov 1, 2011

Current issue is that I my phone will boot just fine into regular startup however it will no longer boot into recovery mode.

I have tried the below methods but the main problem that I run into is that when I issue flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img(I have tried multiple img files such as the clockworkmod and SPRecovery) however none of them have worked they are receive the below message.

# flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
error scanning partitions

What I need at this point is either a way to get some form of recovery loaded either the out of the box version or clockworkmod version working so I can flash my phone and get gingerbread loaded. Or I need to break the OS to the point where the phone will not load past the boot loader.

Phone information:
Droid 2 Global
System Version 2.4.330.A956.Verizon.en.US
Android Version 2.2
Kernel Version 2.6.32.9-g9e2c63d

I tried all pssible combinations of all 3 abailable buttons (power,vol+,vol-) and all possible pressing times from a few seconds to a minute.I also tried rebooting into bootloader via the ADB but without any luck (device not recognized). My main problem with this system is that I tried to root it and it seemed like it worked, the superuser .apk was installed, however when I tried to start Titanium backup or any other prog that requires root access, it shows that there is no root access. Then I also tried z4root, but no luck either and SuperOneClick just freezes when restaring the ADB daemon.

in order to flash the CM9 ROM. Problem is I can NOT reboot into recovery no matter what I do it seems. When I try tp reflash the CWM recovery it tells me "successfully installed!" then when I press 'reboot into recovery" it gets stuck on the LG logo for so long I often have to hold the power button to go back to my device. I even download "recovery flasher utility" found here [URL]....but, whenever I run the app it tells me "no recovery.img" found onexternal SDCARD even though I placed it there! I have Noir A10 by Qmobile and since morning I am having this problem. I had installed JMP ROM v 8 and it was working super fast for atleast a month or so. When I got up in the morning, I saw the wait logo(that appears when I boot up the phone). I waited for a few minutes but phone was stuck there. I tried to restart but it didnt respond. I took out the battery and turned it back on. It did turn on but display resolution had a problem. I could not see whole the screen. For instance when I browse to Application drawer, I am unable to see some of the Icons. I reset the phone to factory settings and restarted but had the same problem with display. Then I tried to reboot into recovery but it simply resets the phone to factory settings instead.

General :: How To Reboot To Stock Recovery On Galaxy Ace Plus Without Flashing CWM

Jan 21, 2013

so i just find a new way to reboot to stock recovery on samsung galaxy ace plus GT-S7500 without flashing another custom recoveru like cwm or something like that

many people say that we cant access the stock recovery on galaxy ace plus because it have some bugs or something else.. now i found the way how to do that

just follow the simple guide how to do that :

1. reboot it using volume + and volume - ~> home button ~> power button

2. click and hold both volume button then the home button then the power button..

3. if the phone gets turned on so u need to keep hold that button until the recovery showed up (when it showed up and its get turned off again so u need to hold all the button again until it get rebooted to recovery)

4.if u get rebooted all time its not a big problem again .. all u need is just hold all that button until the phone gets turned on and release the power off button and hold it again until u boot it on recovery mode.. and done u booted up on recovery mode (im not responsible if ur phone gets bootloop or something else)

Ok, I just bought an HTC Acquire with Android Version 2.3.4 HTC Sense 3.0 Software number 1.26.557.9 Kernel 2.6.35.10

I have tried to root this phone using Gingerbreak, Revolutionary, Z4root, and a few others. When I search on Google or the XDA website I can't find absolutely anything about an HTC Acquire. It's like the internet thinks the phone doesn't exist? I recently upgraded to it from my HTC Desire CDMA Bravo-c that I had rooted, flashed a custom rom, custom kernel, custom radio, the works.

General :: Allwinner Clone Soft Bricked - Black Screen / Reboot Loop And Recovery Corrupted

May 26, 2014

I have an Allwinner A10 clone (Kurio 7), it is designed for kids but otherwise a standard android tablet. After hours of googling I rooted and installed CWM & Gapps (not included in the stock ROM). So far so good. The stock ROM was causing issues with some apps, it needed to go.

I flashed CM10 and it worked but no touch screen. It needed a compatibility flash to make it work. You can guess what's coming. I picked the wrong one and now the device does the following:

Reboot loop
Black screen (backlight though)
PWR+Vol up no longer gets to recovery
Vibrates constantly between reboots (due to wrong patch I'm guessing)

ADB picks up the device for a split second between reboots but "adb reboot recovery" does nothing. Even when using wait command. Tried "fastboot flash recovery cwm.img" after wait command, no luck. Is there anything else I can try?

General :: Any Way To Flash Recovery Without ADB?

Sep 13, 2013

I have a Nabi 2 tablet that I've rooted, installed TWRP, and flash the gapps and a few other tweaks to. It's about to go in for an RMA since the USB and charging ports are both broken. The problem in the USB port is that one of the pins got bent - I don't know how, it looks like the conductor somehow got peeled back off of the plastic. The point is, I have no USB access to the device.

In order to pass the inspection for the RMA, I need to have it stock I can flash the stock ROM by putting it on the SDCard in my laptop then transferring that to the device and flashing it through TWRP. The question I have, though, is whether I can flash the stock recovery with ADB access to it. Every thread I've been able to uncover so far about flashing a recovery requires ADB access to issue the "adb fastboot flash" command. Is there another way to do this?
