Last month i bought a Micromax A54 mobile and it is not rooted. Today i installed beats audio app from play store . I didn't noticed that the phone has to be rooted to install the beats audio app ", Now my phone is not booting up and its displaying only Ninja 3.5 in the screen . I don't have the backup of stock rom.
I am able to enter into the Android Recovery Utility and tried factory reset still not working.
I try to understand android boot sequence on my JB (under CM10). I found some docs and there should be specific partitions (boot, recovery, system, cache, data).
My understanding of the boot sequence is now:
A) normal boot: 1) Power ON -> 2) bootloader -> 3) boot-partition where i flashed the kernel aka boot.img -> 4a) system-partition with the OS (libs, UI, etc) where i unpacked over CWM my customROM.zip -> 4b) data-partition, where i unpacked google-apps.zip and installed all the apps -> 4c) cache-partition with user data
B) recovery boot (adb reboot recovery): 1) Power ON -> 2) bootloader -> 3) recovery-partition with CWM where i may unpack all the .zip stuff to proper partitions, or restore from sdcard, etc.
Is this correct? I wonder, because i didn't installed CWM into recovery-partition. It cames from install of CM10 (fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img), so it must be in boot-partition and not in recovery?
So, next confusion: i looked up to /proc/mtd and i don't see neither boot nor recovery partition here:
I did a backup with CWM and loocked the data. There aren't boot, and recovery backups:
# ls -lha /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/2012-10-04.18.49.55/ d---rwxr-x 2 system sdcard_r 4.0K Oct 4 18:56 . d---rwxr-x 3 system sdcard_r 4.0K Oct 4 18:49 .. ----rwxr-x 1 system sdcard_r 1.6K Oct 4 18:54 .android_secure.vfat.dup ----rwxr-x 1 system sdcard_r 54.6M Oct 4 18:55 cache.yaffs2.img ----rwxr-x 1 system sdcard_r 360.2M Oct 4 18:53 data.yaffs2.img ----rwxr-x 1 system sdcard_r 212 Oct 4 18:56 nandroid.md5 ----rwxr-x 1 system sdcard_r 214.6M Oct 4 18:51 system.yaffs2.img #
So, i think i didn't understand the boot sequence and partition schema corectly.
How to use link2sd on micromax a25 I tried all the steps properly but while partioning my sd card og 16gb was not formatted......I tried link2sd but it says the app is linked but of no use it take same the phone memory as it was...
I rooted My My micromax A87 with XDA and I was Succeeded in It, and then I Partitioned my SD Card into three,(FAT-32 + EXT 3 + Linux Swap) with Parition Mini Tool.then I Installed Link2SD and Swapper 2 its all fine but microsd is too slow to Link and Swap because its (Class 4).but it run the temple run and some HD Games with Small Lag.
So I Experimented with other swap tools like "MemoryInfo & Swapfile Check and ROEHSOFT RAM-EXPANDER (SWAP)"and then Uninstalled these. but there is the problem starts. Now in my A87 it shows a swap cache always on. I opened adb shell and look for free.
I wonder that there is a swap file generated around 50 MB but I cant see it in my External SD or Internal Memory. So I Removed my SD Card and then check again, Still I see the same swap value 50 MB.
My Internal memory has no change in the value (available space not reduced) it looks like the same value before I Install the MemoryInfo & Swapfile Check + ROEHSOFT RAM-EXPANDER (SWAP).
Instead of seeing the boring old Android logo or my service provider's logo, I'd love to see the standard text-based Linux boot screen that shows the status of all the hardware and configuration info as my phone boots. My current phone is an HTC EVO 3D running Cool ICS with Sense 3.6 and Revolutionary CWM.
How can i root micromax smarty A25. I want to root it but unfortunately i m not getting the instruction over net. How can i achieve. (Detailed instructions) and is there any risk of bricking if yes how can we minimise the chance. (Android Version 2.3.6) Also tell me can i update it to icecream sandwich or jelly bean.....
I Rooted my Micromax Funbook Pro Using Unlockroot.
It rooted successfully, i restared so many times after rooting it was all well..but yesterday i installed clockworkmod recovery for ICS it succeeded, first time my tab booted in CWM recovery mod but no button was functioning , so i rebooted. from then my Tab is stuck on Micromax logo .. nothing happens..
Micromax funbook pro doesn't have hard button of home or menu to boot into recovery.. I searched everywhere how to boot into recovery but found no results..
Is there any application for pc from which i can reinstall my stock rom without booting my tablet?
Actually I am in a deep trouble, I bought Micromax a90s a month ago , It is really a very good phone. I rooted it and was very happy but 1 day ago I was trying to add new fonts to it & It got bricked I don't have any backup.I have no sources to send it to service centre. how can I repair it myself, Unbrick ?
I want to know that how to open custom recovery in micromax a27 by key combinations. I have successfully flashed cwm recovery in my device & also I can go to recovery mode by quickboot or rom manager, but can't able to go to recovery by key combinations. The power & vol+ is opening the stock recovery mode not the cwm recovery mode, so, I need a way to open cwm recovery when my mobile is bricked.
I have a a micromax a56 ninja2 , and would like to root and work on the same , as i am currently a huge fan of android, but in vain, this phone is not visible in Adb devices, below are the things which i have already tried, also i have called micromax and got a ver silly answer to enable the debugging mode ( which i did at the intial stage itself) Things i performed : Enabled USB debugging mode , the phone is accessible for USB data transfer but whenever i type adb devices its blank., Adb kill - server and start server didn't worked Removed all the USB drivers using USBdbview.exe, and installed the drivers from the micromax site and also available on the XDA website ( A56 drivers), the drivers installed but the adb devices were still empty. Backed up the android_winusb.inf and saved the file with Hardware ID's available in device manager ( PID and VID) Still no luck, Phone was restarted and enabled again the debugging mode. no luck One of the website told to copy the adb_usb.ini on the users profile, did that still dint worked.
I recently bought Micromax A52. Thought of rooting it and after looking on xda i figured that existing root methods didn't enable root privilege in Micromax A52. Thinking of trying the manual way to root ( Creating own methods to root).
I dont know/find where i can download A52 stock OS. What is the process of backing up stock. After stocking original os as we can easily restore to it, would like to proceed with the rooting steps. Wondering how a rooting softy (Superoneclick or z4root etc) works based on which i will be able to give a shot on it.
