I'm not really sure what to do about this screen. I started getting a notification that seems to come from the official app (I long tapped, and checked the notification info), but this "update" apparently needs to be side loaded onto the system instead of installed through the Play Store. SCH-I605
yesterday, i tried to update my samsung galaxy y and cleared the factory settings , data, cache etc. and when i tried to reboot the phone it remained at the samsung logo and it has been there ever since.
i have tried installing odin but when i try opening it after installation, it flashes and close meaning that i can not access it. i have been on this since 5 am today and things just seem not to work out well for me
I have a Samsung Galaxy Y. I got it about 2 months ago and used a stock rom that wasn't from my region on it. It worked fine even with root till about 2 days ago. Then I decided to reboot my phone but it entered a boot loop. I flashed my region's stock rom on it (DDLA1) and then I updated it to the latest version (DDLC3). I thought that since it was using a stock rom it wouldn't get bricked but after rooting my phone again to restore all my apps and data using Titanium Backup it got an unexpected error but it wasn't even immediate. I got the error about 30 minutes after rooting my phone. The error, however, didn't stop my phone completely. It just force closed the app that I was using. But after I rebooted to put in my SIM card it entered the boot loop again.
Some extra info:
Since I'm using Go Launcher I uninstalled my Samsung Home screen, keyboard and any other apps that I don't need.
2) Is there any other way to back up and restore my device.
3) Could any of my previous attempts at unbricking cause this. It worked every single time but each time the same thing happened. It got bricked again after about 30 minutes after bricking. (That's 30 minutes of time that I used the phone. It didn't brick when my phone was sleeping for an entire night.)
I've read a lot of topics in online and also saw a lot of video tutorial to Flash my Galaxy Y's stock ROM with odin.In Odin,I've selected every file but whenever I click 'Start' button,it shows me this message in message box.
Yesterday i tried updating my android to Ice Cream Sandwich following some tutorial i found but i missed a step and didn't downloaded Clockworkmod Recovery or made any backup , and i think that USB Debugging is off because my pc doesn't recognize the phone ... I tried going into Android system recovery and clearing data and cache , and i tried with odin mode by pressing volume down, home and power but i got stuck on downloading screen for 2 hours so i gave up ... Now only thing left on my sd card is ics aura rom..
How to install and play CLASH OF CLANS game in samsung galaxy y but unfortunately no luck...

A friend of mine rooted my samsung mobile Galaxy S I9000 with a android 2.2 version. I read information on rooting your device, in which everything is explained very well, but could not find information on how to update once a device was rooted (probably I did not search in the right place). What I did so far is:
1) Taking backup of my pics (by manually drag and drop the folder on my pc), SMS and call logs (with sms backup + app), syncronized my contacts with gmail so that I can recover them later on and backup the music folder. I installed backup Titanium to back up my apps on my SD card.
1) Which most recent version of Android is supported on the device I have? 2) Is there important information that I forgot to back up? 3) Is there a guide with step by step procedure on which files I have to download on my pc and which procedure to follow?
So I updated Astrid from version 2 to 3 and realize it was a big mistake. They took away a bunch of options and now require a RTM account. Is there any way to rollback an app? I searched around and can't find the old version anywhere. On a side note I have noticed a very disheartening trend for Android software developers. They release an app and market it as free. They wait until enough people download it and build a strong user base. Then "update" the software which removes features unless you pay for the full version. This is just poor PR in my opinion.
I just ran an update using the SEUS and I have received a couple Vodafone applications and a Sony Ericsson Sync application are there meant to be any other changed that I have missed? Firmware version is still 1.6 Baseband version 1.1.28 Build number is still on 24?
I did the backup/restore before updating my Moment yesterday. For some reason one app (Locale) did not come back. The new version of Locale ($9.99) has been changed substantially and has been widely panned in the comments. The old version which I had (and is free) is supposed to be better. Is there a site for old apps? Also, I have another Moment which has the old app.Is it possible to "copy" it?
I bought a galaxy I7500 yesterday, and it is running 1.5. I am in Canada and the phone is unlocked (I am using it with Wind mobile) and am wondering if there is an official update to different version of android (I had the magic before and it was all just done for me). Also does anyone know if the phone will relock, all the manuals are not in English so I am not sure the original carrier of the device. (The Samsung website only seems to list the L version of this phone).
I tried running the ported HTC music app from xda yesterday on my BB v4 and got FC's. I'd love to have this on my phone since it plays genre's. Anybody have any success with this or have an updated version ready for froyo? Also, is there a way to get the CyanogenMod volume up/down music controls when the screen is off onto BB v4? It's really the only thing that I miss. I don't know the "rules" of ROM's sharing, etc. certain scripts or whatever.
I have a problem with my sgy s5360 (rooted). i recently changed my lcd density in error and instead of the 120 default setting, I changed it to 288. that was really frustrating. I haven't been able to fix it myself. I have already done the factory reset but that didn't work. I used the ROM toolbox. Now my sgy is like in a zoomed state. Large fonts, cannot unlock and change to default setting. I cannot click the android icon that can be seen when you reboot your phone and did the factory reset. assistance is badly needed. i have browsed through the theads, but this issue has not been addressed.
i was using repencis rom and i tried to flash jelly blast but something went wrong and i bricked my phone i am not able to access my recovery and when i try to flash stock rom via odin it fails i used different firmware packages but i did not succeed now i can only access download mode.
They have just been posted on HDblog.it here are the links: SAMSUNG Galaxy ROMS: GALAXHERO FINAL VERSION V1.1 - HDblog - Forum UPDATE 24/11 - V4.3! - ROOT/RECOVERY IMAGE update, wipe, backup and restore GALAXY - HDblog - Forum
I've only had my Android phone for about 2 weeks now but being a bit of a geek love to tweak things to make them "cooler"...Updating - can I manually update from 2.2.1 to a newer version?Widget - There was a widget already installed with 5 icons, WiFi-Bluetooth-?-?-brightness Not sure what the two are but I suspect perhaps GPS (looks like it might be a sat dish) and Account Sync (circle with 2 curved arrows)Sometimes the phone boots in Safe Mode and after a few reboots finally boots into "normal" mode. Through trial and error I can get to a "recovery" prompt but that has "wipe" functions and I don't want to wipe my data. Is there an other option or just keep rebooting until it works? I read that you can hold the volume + button, but that brings up a factory testing menu on this clone phone.
The phone is a HTC clone from China (Hero 300 listed on box). I have a 2GB card I'm using with it. It appears to be "rooted" because there is the superuser icon.
I hate the AT&T Galaxy Express i437 and I can't update the android version (currently on 4.1.2) because AT&T requires WiFi for the update. I also can't find a working root so that is not an option. Is there any way to update to a new version without rooting or WiFi?
