Just got SGS2 and for the life of me can't sign in to Gmail, so no access to Market...etc.....after pressing the stock Gmail Client Icon and entering my gmail id and password.....the phone seems to take a couple of minutes to try to sign in and then comes back with unreliable data connection msg...i am using good Wi Fi connection and don't have a network data connection yet.
After purchasing of HTC tattoo, i have tried signup in gmail setup. It was working fine. Then i cleaned up gmail & google app memory for another gmail account setup. Now i can't able to sign-in gmail, gtalk and market setup. Can anyone help me to resolve this without factory reset? because I have lot of applications&data inside
I have a problem with my HTC magic after clearing the date in the App Manager. This could be a temporary problem or your card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care. Keeps appearing after I tried signing into my gmail account. There is data inside my phone which I wish to keep it. My Backup manager isn't working.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S a few days back and was able to sign into the Android market via my gmail account. I even managed to download the BarCode scanner application. That's where the problems begun. Since auto-sync was on, all my gmail contacts were synced with my phone contacts. Now since I did not want to see my gmail contacts every time I try and make a call, I performed a factory reset on the phone (since there was no other way to get rid of all the gmail contacts at once). I then turned sync off and tried to sign in to my Google account, but it refused to do so. I get a message saying: "Unable to establish a reliable connection with server. This may be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. Please contact customer care if the problem persists." I even tried connecting with sync on just for the heck of it but it still did not work. The Samsung Customer Care service in India is truly pathetic. They said that: "We do not provide support for such technical problem" Wtf? They then proceeded to give a regional center number, which when I called.
i have begun receiving a "Sign-in error" for the main Gmail account I set up the phone with. It stays in the notifications bar and if I try to input the password it authenticates forever then tells me the password or login are incorrect.Weirdest part though is I can still access the account and it appears i am still receiving push notices.
I'm an Android newbie - I've just purchased an Android v4.2.2 tablet and I'm having a basic problem that I can't sign in (using the tablet) to my google account, which is not a gmail account: it's email@example.com. I can sign in OK from my windows-based PC and netbook - but from Android, the email/password are not recognised.
To get going I created a gmail account which enables me to sign in to my new android device: but obviously that doesn't give me access to all my google-related "stuff" that is in my firstname.lastname@example.org google account.
I successfully set up a couple of gmail accounts when I first got my phone and now wish to add a third. However the phone now says it is unable to establish a working data connection. This is definitely not the case. It comes up with this before checking the account credentials so it is not a password issue.
i made this post on Htc One X section yet there was no replay so here i'm posting it over here i hardreseted my phone HOX when its complete i can't sign into my google account it says "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" i hardreseted my phone couple times yet nothing happens i check the Forum here and found couple posts they says resolved but they didn't work my phone is running the OEM rom JB and is rooted

Is there any way I can use my normal email acct to sign in(Yahoo)? I want to access my favorite videos from my phone but it can only use a google acct. Should I just re make my favorites under my gmail?

I'm using a galaxy nexus with the newest version of jelly bean. For the past couple weeks, ive been experiencing a constant barrage of gmail sign in failed error messages.
I am able to login to gmail using the gmail application, as well as the generic email application. in the google account settings, it is able to be synced, and manually syncing doesn't prompt the error message.
I googled this issue and came across a couple solutions - changing my password using the chrome mobile browser, clearing the cache, etc, but nothing seems to work.
Its getting fairly frustrating having this notification pop up every few minutes or so.

I'm surprised to see that all of a sudden I cannot sign the apk of the newer versions of an app that I have. After some bugfixes I need to upload an update and hence I need to sign the apk. However, when I execute the following command: jarsigner -verbose -keystore android_release_key.keystore My_APK_File.apk android_release and enter my password correctly, I get the following error: jarsigner: unable to sign jar: java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid entry compressed size (expected 1065 but got 1085 bytes) I've signed older versions of the apk multiple times before. I don't understand why it stopped working now. Do you have any ideas or suggestions what can be going wrong here?

Droid X - Configured with a Google Apps Premiere, working great. Attempting to add a personal GMail account. Go to the GMail app, select add account, fill in the metrics and then...... "Needs to communicate" message for ~ 3 minutes, then bombs out with - "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". 3G is fine, on a wifi connection that is fine, web browser works fine..... Google Apps account works fine.
I am unable to sign into the android market through my htc hero. I have an active internet connection and am able to browse fine but when it comes to signing into the market it gives an error that problems signing in cause there is no active connection.
Migrating to a new Gmail account without losing everything Android related? Like a few people I know, I made a Gmail account a few years ago before android was this big and (like the naive child I was) didn't make a very professional email address. Migrating to a new Gmail account I created. Copying contacts and mail is easy enough, but what about everything related to Android?
I'm trying to add a second gmail account (my wife's), and I keep running into a response message after a couple of minutes, saying "Can't establish a reliable data connection on the server". I've tried forcing the transaction through Wi-Fi and cellular paths, always with the same result.
I see any number of threads in a variety of forums with this problem, going back months, but I didn't find any viable solutions. The most common solution offered is to do a factory reset on the phone, which I'm not near ready to do yet.
