General :: Unable To Root / Install Custom ROM In Huawei U8510
Feb 24, 2013
The procedures mentioned to root or install CWM Recovery in Huawei x3 U8510 requires you to go to USB Debugging mode in Settings but my device does not have a working Stock ROM.
I am able to boot into the Stock Recovery mode (Volume + and power button) but unable to install CWM(tried several versions for U8510), SU, Custom ROM etc cuz it says signature verification failed even though I tried cmw zip files which were signed.
I tried going into download mode by pressing Volume - and power button that didn't work too. Even though the Huawei symbol came up I couldn't root the device using
P.S: I couldn't find any of the latest ROMs for this device too!
I'm having a problem downloading Easy Root..I bought it once, refunded it because I didn't have anough money in my account, then bought it again the same day...andnow it finally went through this morning and it says purchased because I got paid this morning...but when I try to click install it says "Download unsuccessful"...I've tried everything to get it to install but it won't work and I can't refund it again. If I could refund it again I would be able to successfully install it like I did with Rom manager and setCPU.
I have seen many threads & posts from confused Hero owners. The forum is cluttered full of them. So I thought it would be good for all the information to reside in one thread and if people are still having problems then they should make a new thread. I understand that it is sometimes difficult to find the right instructions as there are conflicting posts / thread everywhere. There are so many guides out there. Each more confusing than the last. So many unnecessary steps. This way is quick and easy.
Note: I have to the best of my knowledge checked and performed the following guides myself and confirm that they work. If my spelling or grammar is wrong, my methods are wrong, you'd like to add something or whatever please Private Message me with the URL of the post and please specify what is wrong. I will try and change / update it ASAP.
I take no responsibility for anything that may go wrong. It is your responsibility to BACKUP everything periodically. The end.

My Work Here Is Done. My Time With My Beloved Hero (The Best Phone I Have Ever Had To Date)... Is Now Over. I Have A Samsung Galaxy S Now ^_^ So Unfortunately This Guide Is No Longer Going To Be Updated/Supported. However Everything Within This Guide Will Still Work & Will Be Valid For Ever & Ever ... Feel Free To PM Me If The Thread Needs Updating...I Won't Leave My Fellow Hero Users Completely.
I bought T-Mobile Move Balance (also known as Huawei 8600-1) and in a day I found out that stock software is really lousy.I can't find any custom ROMs for it so my question is: Can i put any other custom ROM (made for some other device) when I root it?
While i was browsing the default apps i noticed a Chinese SU app that couldn't understand.. so i deleted it and install Koush SU... but for my bad luck ( i guessed that if it already had a SU app that it would be rooted) sadly it isn't Root.
I got the new huawei phone from metropcs. it came out about a month ago and it is still fresh in the market. the phone is pretty badass... except for one problem. it's unrooted. Any way to root the huawei premia 4g,. the model number of the phone is the huawei-m931.
I need to root my Huawei IDEOS X3 (aka u8510) but all of the instructions I find refer to downloading some Windows app called 'automatic root enabler' however, I don't use Windows because I have better things to spend my money on!
this droid runs 2.3.3 (aka gingerbread) and how automatic root enabler works? I have adb, fastboot and a development environment but can't find the rooting process properly explained anywhere. double-click rooting is cheating anyway
I installed clockwork recovery in-place of the normal recovery image using fastboot so, i should be able to install update 'zip' files OK. i read there is a 'su.zip' which should install su for me but, I can't find a link that works to that anywhere either.
I wanted to install Candy Crush game into my Huawei phone that has Android 2.3 but I keep on getting a message that I do not have enough storage? I recently installed a Kingstong 16gb micro SD card and changed the setting to have apps installed on my removable SD card. Why can't I installed any new apps?
i rooted my phone few days ago and out of curosity i used the root explorer to move all the system apps to my SD card. the phone shutdown and on an attempt to reboot it never did pass the screen after the at&t logo. it keeps on restarting from that point. .
Can't install my custom firmware for my huawei u8650. Once i have yesterday installed custom rom my batery was discharged so now then i press vol+,vol- and turn on butons at once and then it stucks! here the update text file from sd card:
filename = a:dloadupdate.app Failure: CRCMD5_RSAУ Failure: operation did not succeed. Failure: operation did not succeed. [code]....
I finally got 2.01 back onto my phone. It took a new version of RSD lite running as an admin to get it to work.. Now, I want to root this bad boy and install bugbless beast, where can I read up on how to install custom roms?
how to Root my Huawei Ascend D1 LTE (U9501L). I tried everything but none works. I used Binary, Doomlord, SuperOneClick, OneClickRoot, etc. but none of this work on my devices.I want to extend my SDCard to external SD and It needs a root function to do this.
I recently got a Android 2.3.6 phone, models the HUAWEI Ascend Y201. So far happy with it but there are a few things I want to do- and reading up on it has more Tbab confused me. Firstly I want to remove the bloatware it came with but it seems this can't be done without 'root'. I understand that this basically allows me more permissions with the system? Secondly I am wondering about these ROMs. What do they do? Lastly, the play store seems to like telling me there is no space left for the application, but it installing to a 4gb SD card? An application I saw called MarketFix claims to fix it but needs root.
I have tried z4root (this did nothing) and gingerbreak (ran for 7 hours).
