General :: Samsung SGH-i727 (Skyrocket) Won't Enter Debugging Mode
Jun 12, 2012
I just got a brand new Samsung SGH-i727 that I cannot get into Debug mode, which means that I'm bored with it already! I want to ROOT!! I can navigate to the setting, select the check box, and it remains checked, however, it won't indicate Debugging mode ( in the status bar, with the pop-up or otherwise when connected to the PC), and I cannot access ADB to root it! I am at a loss. I have scoured the forums, deleted and re-installed the drivers, deleted and allowed the device to re-install the drivers, used different USB cables, including the original, and a decent aftermarket, used different USB ports, used different PCs, (Two Win 7's, and one WinXP, all to no avail. I am upgrading from a Cappy, that was rooted on this machine, but for some reason, the 727 just doesn't want to work!
Following different tutorials on how to root my device, they all begin with instructing me to enter "download mode." They all seem to say that I need to press Power+Volume Down+Home and, when the warning screen appears, press Volume Up. Well, I hold down Power+Volume Down+Home (I check a video to make extra sure I was holding down the correct buttons) and all that the device ever does is continually display the initial splash screen, the reboot again. If I let go, the device goes into "manual mode" in which it prompts to reboot, update the device or factory reset it. Am I missing something?
I've got this Hisense EG98, i can't enable USB Debugging because it's ask for password. When i try to enter recovery mode by pressing and holding vol.down+power, green robot appeared but it just went to reboot again. Is there any other way so that i can enter to /system? I want to root my device, framaroot doesn't work either.
I have recently bought the Samsung Galaxy s2 SGH-i727. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy s1. I have my 3G SIM in my Galaxy s2 now and its a 4G phone...will that affect it? Plus i have tried a million different APNs to see if that would work, and it hasnt. Im able to send/recieve text messages, but i cant get MMS. I also use AT&T GoPhone as my carrier, but i didnt have this problem with my S1...
I've got a Galaxy S Vibrant. I've got the USB in debugging mode, I've got super-user rights. When I mount the Vibrant to my Desktop while it's booted in Ubuntu, it detects it off the bat and works fine. When I mount the Vibrant to my Dekstop while it's booted in Windows, it doesn't detect it.
Vibrant won't connect to a windows 7 x32 desktop via usb, but connects to Ubuntu just fine. The desktop has no network connection. I need to move some files, but I don't have a USB drive and it doesn't have a CD drive. It's rather barebones. So, I was hoping to use my phone.
First off, i have vista x64 and I installed the drivers and my computer recognizes it but when i put my phone into debugging mode i get that sound on my computer but nothing happens. On the phone there isn't a usb icon in the top left either.
The name of this post says it all... And before I updates, I unrooted, un lag faxed, un lots of other things. Now I'm trying to root my phone again through the one-click lag fix so I can get everything up and running again (I NEED barnacle to work), but I need to enter recovery mode, and no such luck... I've tried like ten times now: I hold down volume up, volume down, and the power button, but no luck... it used to work but not anymore.
I really don't know how to root my device.. Ive tried Unlock Root but that didn't work.. My android version is 4.1.2 and I was wondering what I can do to root my device... I think I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket or the SCHI2000
i Have SE Arc S and i try to install Jelly Android 4.1.2 , i make all steps and at final Step install from SD card it;s failed ,so when i reboot mobile it hanged at Sony Errcsson Logo i try to press on Volume down or back Button nothing happened can't enter to recover mode.
My mom's LGC800 is stuck in LG boot screen, is there any possible way to enter fastboot mode in the LGC800? I tried the adb command "adb reboot bootloader" it reboots and gets stuck again in LG boot screen..
I have a motorola motostart (xt390) and wish to unlock bootloader, root, etc. Nevertless, I just can't get into fastboot mode. Powering up with VOL Down it access the recovery mode. The same for VOL UP+DOWN. When i try powering up with VOL UP pressed the device simply don't power up.
Is it a malfunctioning device or some roms for this hardware simply have mysteriuos ways to enter fastboot?
The ROM is a brazilian retail, Gingerbread (2.3.6) version MAUI.11AMD.W11.37.SP.V9.F4.P1, build: ARGONM_W_07.15.04R_D.
I just bought this phone three weeks ago and It was working well .. then I tried an App (pimp my rom) and I forgot to enable Usb Debugging mode so I restarted phone then Found a message ( Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped ) and when I press ok it shows again .. I can only switch on/off wifi bluetooth GPS and those stuff on Notification bar but I cant enable Usb debugging mode because settings crash with ( Unfortunately, Settings has stopped ) No menu No home screen .. only those messages with a useless notification bar I tried everything possible to recover this phone but failed because The computer cant define the device because of the Debugging mode and when I try to flash a rom by recovery mod it tells me signature failed Is there anything I can do for this phone? or its over?
i am not able enter flash mode in my X10i device i wanted to flash kernel.
I followed all the procedure: 1) by holding back button & plugged in USB cable. 2) my phone got recognized in the flash tool. Got a message stating "Device connected in flash mode" 3) then my device did not stay much longer in flash mode (less then 10 sec). After that it automatically booted to phone charging screen.
below is log generated in flash tool, when i tried to flash the kernel:
26/026/2013 07:26:07 - INFO - Selected kCernel-CM9-v03.ftf 26/026/2013 07:26:07 - INFO - Preparing files for flashing 26/026/2013 07:26:07 - INFO - Please connect your device into flashmode.
I'm facing with boot loop problem on my Onda Vi19 Elite. I try to reflash the Tablet but I don't know how to enter the recovery mode, so how to enter the recovery mode or to solve the boot loop problem?
Samsung galaxy s3. used odin and cf autoroot.tar. MANY PASS and sucess but no superuser and no root access. now when i try to enter recovery mode it loads right into cf auto root. unable to enter recovery.
Can still access download mode. flashed cwm recovery ( recovery.tar.md5 ) and tried clearing cache and fatory resetting.
Can't mount and open /cache/recovery/log and last_log and command. format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p17. error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure.
I recently bought XOLO Q1000 opus. I want to Hard reset opus due to some issue with its WI-FY. But I didnt able to find a way to enter its recovery mode. I tried power +vol as well as power -vol but ended up removing battery to make phone boot.
I have a Galaxy SII SGH-I727 and my computer does not recognize my phone as a USB device. I've already tried several other cables and computers. Odin is unfortunately not an option for me. I am trying to unroot my phone (I understand that flashing to a stock ROM unroots it...I hope) so that I can send it in since rooting it voids the warranty.
I cant get anything to show up when I run adb devices, the command is working it just isn't seeing my device in PC mode. I have tried downloading the motorolla drivers and installing the usb drivers for adb and nothing seems to be able to get usb debugging to turn on in PC mode.
