I used the recovery mode first time - it worked, second time playing with NoBloat - it gets stuck in boot screen.I can go to the recovery mode menu, both chinese and english, can do a full clear cache, data, format, but phone still won't boot.
I can use ADB shell, but Smart phone flash tool does not recognize phone, MTK droid tool recognizes it, but I can't backup it.
There is no information on how to flash the entire ROM package back to your phone (at least with regard to the errors you may receive).
how to backup one of my phones entire rom package and put it on my other phone that I messed up via the Smart Phone Flash Tool (the exact same model: Star Touch Diamond 2 B2000 MT6573).
The new phone works perfect, I have never touched it, my old phone which is the same model I deleted and formatted the system so I need to put the stock rom on.
I was able to do a "backup" of my new phone, but when i try to flash the preloader and uboot, etc, the sp flash tool says error loading file, or region too large with overlap.
By the way, my phone is not bricked, but I cannot access recovery! I was able to find and install another fully assembled rom to my phone and the phone does power on with lights, but it doesnt have the display driver I need so I cannot see anything.
The reason I flashed another rom was because the phone was essentially bricked and wouldnt do anything, and that was the only rom I could find on the internet that was a full package (preloader, uboot, system, etc) but isnt compatible with phone.
Anyhow, if I understand correctly I need to use hexadecimal calculator to find length of partitions of original phones rom, readback the files, somehow edit the preloader file? then flash them back to the old phone?
In Vietnam there is Q-Smart S20 but still no flash tool to backup rom You do have the tools to flash rom for your child is not in urgent need to reverse the bit Q-Smart S20 uses Qualcomm S4 chip MSM8225 Adreno 203

I've got a LinearLayout with a bunch of buttons on it. This panel is always hidden unless a menu item is chosen. When the LinearLayout is shown, I want to detect if the user clicks anywhere outside of the panel so that I can hide it again. Is there a way to do this, maybe with detecting focus changes? I've tried to add an OnFocusChangeListener to the LinearLayout itself (and called setFocusable(true) on it), but the focus change listener never gets called. Furthermore, I'd have to be able to detect if the LinearLayout or any of its children lose focus.
I have had androids for over two years now and am getting more and more concerned every time I download an app and seeing that it wants to READ my SMS message and Contacts.
Is there a way I can disable reading of SMS messages or any one of the other permissions by specific apps, or all apps?
Are we living in a world where any "joe schmo" can upload an app the to the app store and wait for those inadvertent downloads and collect all your personal information, and that's after all the time we spend protecting our identity and personal details?
A friend of mine has the g1 with a nes emulator on it and a crap load of roms. Do these emulators work for android in general or are they phone specific? (new to android phones btw) If they do can anyone point me in the right direction to getting a good emulator and some roms for my moto cliq.
Any way to block my son's phone from calling or texting specific phone numbers? I want him to be able to add phone numbers and contacts, but be unable to call or text a couple of specific phone #s. Is there a way to do this? I have Verizon but their number blocking service only works for incoming calls, not for outgoing.
Odin only detect my Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300 when the power is off.
In a meanwhile: - Odin cannot detect in Download mode. - KIES is able to connect, detect & do the backup. - I've tried many versions of Odins. - Odin(s) is able to detect other phone (Galaxy Mini S5570). - PC could detect the driver and do the file transfer.
Why only when the power off id:com turns into yellow (or green in Odin 3) ????
I was looking for a Windows based tool that can make a complete backup image of my SD card (just didn't want to lose 13gb worth of photos and music). I tried the native Windows backup program, Ghost, and just about every other backup solution with no luck. I did run into a free program called "USB Image Tool" and it does just what I need. Once you mount your SD card on your phone, this little program will allow you to create an IMG image and also has restore functions. It is located at: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-Up-and-Recovery/USB-Image-Tool.shtml
I'm trying to decompile a few apks for modifying the dialer on an ICS rom. When I go to decompile I get an empty folder and this error:

All I would like to do is edit a few xml files to change the color on text. Could I just rename the apk to .zip and extract the files to be edited?
I rooted my LG Thrill 4G (LG optimus 3D) with superoneclick which went smoothly and was fine. For some reason without me not even knowing the basics of a ROM decided to get an app ROM Toolbox I believe and play around with it. I did not download any ROM I was just looking at a cyano something rom when all of a sudden my phone froze. I tried turning it off I even waited 30 minutes for it to unfreeze but nothing happened so I pulled the battery. When I turned the phone on it just stays at the LG logo. I went ahead and pulled the battery again and started the phone in system recovery, but I get this no matter what I try to do:
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command E:Can't mount CACHE: recovery/log E:Can't open CACHE:recovery/log
