General :: ROM Manager Keeps Resetting LG Optimus E510?
Dec 15, 2012
Anytime I try to backup or install a new rom on rom manager, it redirects to that screen with android green robot and a box ant it keeps like that for some 2 seconds and when cellphone goes on, it is on default options of native rom like it was the first time i used it. ps. it happens when i click to restart for "save clockworkmod" (idk how its exactly written on rom manager but means it ) how to resolve it, i want to use cyanogenmod on my e510
I have a LG-E510 Optimus Hub mobile rooted and with various versions of cyanogen instaled (I have try 3 versions of CM7 and the beta 9, with Android 4.0.4).
Also, I have the unlock code. When I launch the mobile with a different company, there is not any way to insert the code, just I have not network. When I launch the phone with the original operator, the mobile works great, but I can't insert the unlock code neither...
I have try with "2945#*510#" but error messages appear.. what is happening with my mobile?
My brother just bought an LG Optimus Hub, and wants to install Cyanogenmod 7.2 on it, but we have some doubts, in order to install it, does it need to have the kernel installed? How do we install it? It's my first time with another phone that isn't my mini pro, so I don't want to screw it.
My cell phone is a LG Optimus Hub E510... i have instaled the Cyanogen 7.0 to substitute my Android 2.3.4 that was in my cell phone... but after i've instaled the Cyanogem the apps and games have disappear... facebook, whatsapp and other... i tried to install the apps again but my cell sends a message that they're already instaled... what can i do to my apps appear again?
I make root at one LG e510, after I put Rom manager and install custom recovery clockworkmod recovery. Everything fine till here, but after try to acces recovery, spears only stock recovery and not custom recovery.
how I can reset the default app settings. For example, using Blinkfeed on my M8, when I tap on a link, the first time I was asked which browser should be used. How can I reset Blinkfeed, or any other app to ask me again which app to use? Is it always an app setting, or can I centrally control that behavior?
I've tried calling Verizon about my Droid 2 resetting almost nonstop. I can't make it through a phone call or browse the web or anything without it resetting. I had had my first one for less than a year when it started acting up. Verizon tried sending me a replacement but it did the same thing. Now I'm on my third Droid 2 in less than a year and it's resetting on its own also. I haven't downloaded any apps on this newest replacement so I don't know what's causing it. Could it be my battery or SD card? I'm just at a loss and I really don't want to get a new phone already.
I use Password for screen unlock (digits and letters). I changed yesterday night and now I totally can't remeber the combination. There is no option like pattern unlock to enter the google account password to unlock! even after doing 100 trial.
I really don't want to do a hard reset.I'm rooted and debugging mode is active
I tried doing this adb command but it didn't work as it appear for pattern lock;
./adb shell # sqlite3 data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db sqlite> update system set value=0 where name='lock_pattern_autolock'; sqlite> update system set value=0 where name='lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently';[code]....
that command to work with password lock instead of pattern lock ?
Usually you can just delete the shortcut in your home screen, then drag and drop a new one from the drawer. However, I seem to have run into a problem with my gallery app. No matter what icon theme I apply, it won't change the icon!
why my hosts file gets reset after a reboot no matter whether I change with adaway or adblock or if I manually replace the hosts file myself and set to read only. Have searched about and only solution I read about was get a custom kernel. Although I am already on a custom kitkat ROM and using dorimanx kernel for galaxy s2. Also never had problems with hosts resetting on jb or ICS. Even creating a symlink to data/data/hosts doesn't work. On reboot the symlink just gets replaced with the original useless hosts file.
So I have an galaxy s vibrant. Now its rooted and has a jelly bean custom rom. Now I'm getting a new phone and I want to factory reset my phone, meaning i want all my apps, contact infomation and anything stored in my phone storage to be wiped but I want to keep the custom rom (Jelly bean ) and root permissions still. Is this possible? What would happen if i just factory reset my phone ,deleting everything on my phone , and wanted it like i got it out of the box?
I got a Kaya Android tablet which was lock after the user entered wrong pattern several times. The tablet presents the unlock with gmail screen but, guess what!, it does not connect to any even public unencrypted WiFi so that it is impossible to unlock with gmail account.
I tried to connect to it from adb via USB but it does not recognized as ADB device, only as USB mass-storage.And, finally, magic key combinations like power-volume-up does not give me any recovery or boot loader.
Is it the stage where I go and throw it to garbage or there is something else left?
My Desire V started reseting itself for no apparent reason that I can think of. Uninstalled the few apps I installed for the last few weeks. The crash logs show this in the bottom (and other I/O Errors all over the log file as well):
mmc0: Command timeout mmc0: DMA channel flushed end_request: I/O Error, dev mmcblk0, sector 814992 init: cannot execve('/system/bin/dbus-daemon'): I/O Error Restarting Linux version bla bla bla msm_pm_restart : Do HW_RESET By APP not by RADIO No Errors detected
I'm getting this message popping up on my GS3 T999V somewhat frequently. My phone will disconnect from whatever bluetooth device is currently connected and the phone will bring up the bluetooth device selection screen.
Do I simply need to reset the bluetooth stack or something to remedy this and if so, how do I go about doing that?
I've tried fixing permissions and rebooting but that did not work. I'm on Stock 4.1.2 with Faux Kernel.
I've been owning an android since Nexus one, then the S and then Galaxy Nexus till few days ago when i decided to buy a Galaxy Note from Ebay.
I am with verizon, so after i switched my sim card from my galaxy nexus to the new note 2, after few minutes, it keeps downloading / syncing some text messages. Suddenly out of nowhere these text messages appear with someone elses conversation. After few minutes some other contacts appear in my contacts list too. None i know.Reset the whole phone again, this time did not log into any account and the same thing happens.reset another time and this time, removed the sim card and connected with WiFi only and still all the stuff appeared.
Usually when I reset the phone to factory settings, it tuns off an on few times and acts weird for few minutes until all these messages and contacts appear.I have checked and i am not signed into any account?! Don't know how these text messages keep appearing
How do I fix my Ainol Elf tablet? It keeps resetting and no internal storage.
Last night I installed busybox onto it. When I started it up this morning, I found it had gone and reset itself. (Goes back to default chinese language, all apps and settings gone) On top of that, it says there's 0.00 bytes of internal storage left. I can seem to install very small apps (less than a couple of megabytes) but nothing bigger than that.
Perhaps the most annoying thing is that when you restart, it resets again.
PS I did find this post: [URL] ....
Specifc Details on the elf tablet: -runs ICS4.0.3 -Allwinner a10 1ghz cpu -mali400 gpu
When I first bought it, I was not happy with the features it was offering so I searched and found out about the CM7(Cyanogenmod 7) mod, and decided that I wanted to try out a modded phone. I've been using CM7 for a few years now and have just plain become unhappy with what they're putting out and decided that I finally wanted my phone back to being normal and rooted. I booted into my clockworkmod(after backing up all apps/data with TitaniumBackup pro & taking pics/vids/etc off through USB) and decided to wipe my sdcard and all other options that Clockworkmod offers. After doing that I realized I made a horrible mistake...every time I go to reboot my phone, it ends up back at the boot menu and at the top it says "Fastboot Mode - No boot or recovery IMG" how would I go about resetting my phone back to a normal OS without being able to transfer stuff onto it without it being booted and having a USB option.
There is 3G into Android tablet. If device (Android tablet) looses network connection, it's just impossible to connect network until resetting of the device (Android tablet). What can be changed or adjusted in /system to fix it?
I flashed my phone with a rom but after using it some time it became little leggy to so I reseted it the problem is now its been stuck on resetting animation and goes restarts again and agin and the (power+vol. down) button menu is cumming in Chinese and recovery mode is not opening the page was [URL] ....
Every time I reboot my phone it keeps changing my background back to the same stupid image below. I think I'm probably going to go insane if I see this stupid grass anymore. The picture isn't even on my phone (anywhere I can see, obviously.) I don't know what to do. I've flashed several Roms, done several factory resets, changed it to a million different images/live wallpapers.
When I do factory reset (which means the same as 'wipe', right?) it does resetting current installed ROM to its original state, right?
So, let's say I am doing factory reset the first time (so currently my phone has store ROM installed) so factory reset will revert all the changes in the installed ROM (such as settings, installed apps, all the data) to its original state - which the phone had since it got ROM installed.
But If I got root (which means I replaced secured kernel with unsecured one) and I installed another customized ROM and for some reason I want to do factory reset again - what's gonna happen?
Will factory reset revert original store ROM back or it will revert manually installed ROM (customized ROM) to its after installation?
And as far as I understood factory reset does nothing with kernel? It only affects ROM? So in the second case , when I use non-store ROM and I am doing factory reset - nothing will happen with my unsecured kernel?
